The dad who had to drive it for his kid is honestly amazing to have still gone through with the race. He was hilarious with his screaming and honestly just seems like a loving, caring father

Two things everyone can take away from this:
- The less creative you are, the higher your creativity score
- Never use skinny wheels/tyres in a soapbox race.
There should be 2 top awards. Best creativity, and fastest soapbox

The fact that the reversing caravan didn't even place was just sad. It was easily the best one. They might not have won the event but they sure are winning in the comments section here. I know it's all a matter of opinion but those judges sucked. I really just like the racing part and even I thought they were unfair.

The backwards saab with the trailer was one of the most original designs I've seen. I don't get why they scored so low.
I’ve watched a few of these now and the commentator loves this so much it’s amazing. The pure joy in his voice at every entry is all I need in my life
Really? The two most creative entries in the first half are a plane and a car? Meanwhile the pyramid and the taco scored under 10? These judges were macho to the point of doing a bad job, or else there is an unwritten bonus for nakedly pandering to the sponsor.

the dad at the end doing his best even when his son couldn't show up was really wholesome he was just going to watch and he ended up doing it for hi son and id better than mot others too

Yeah, that fish with the eyeball helmet was very creative. I haven't seen one like that
I guess the judges thought creativity meant "how well built does it look, and how visible is the Red Bull logo?"
A lot of good builds, but my favorite one was the SAAB with the camper.
They nailed the SAAB right down to the correct color! They did come in that color brown.

If i learned anything, it's that bike tires are terrible for soapbox cars.
I've only seen 2 of these but yeah, bike wheels can't handle lateral stress on rigid axles. BMX wheels might hold up a bit better.
And that you should never do a 3-wheeler design, it's far too unstable. If it were me, I'd just build a body on top of a UTV frame and tires.
If you used fatbike tires theres a small chance that it might work

The maximum amount for creativity is 20. If you go to Warhawk team at 14:20 and turn subtitles on, they gave it a 19/20.

@@solesurvivor1002 I was using the Warhawk team as an example to clear up some confusion for the other people as to why the creativity score was low. I wasn’t trying to act smart about it so I’m not sure why you’re taking it as if I have offended you in some way.

I'm pretty sure Redbull was testing out their new AI with the judges. There was a major malfunction and they started spitting out random scores for every soapbox creative score.
Like how this is a Red Bull endorsed sport now😂
This is one of the best forms of sport, as it is average people who get their moment in spotlight and it is not all about being fastest, but more about having fun. Of course the most redbull-esque car won, but there is much more than that to take as a viewer and as a participant, unlike in many other forms of sports. These soapbox races are awesome! Hopefully they will keep these races going for many years to come!

That two wheeled moment in the DeLorean was the freaking best. You don't often got on two wheels and keep on trucking. They're the winner on my heart.

I think the judges don't know the meaning of creativity. It does mean "does it look good?" it means "is it an original idea?" and to give 20 creativity points to a car but give 5 to a taco? Wtf was going through their head?
