  • So you want to work on your own bow?? Let's go over some of the basics and some important safety information so your first time pressing a bow is a safe and productive one.
There are many bow presses on the market and when you are considering purchasing your first press, it is important to know that the one you select is the right one for you.
In the video I do the majority of the talking over a Last Chance Archery bow press. The model in the video is approx. $675 retail. They also have a Green model, a touch more basic, for around $500.
I also show you the Sure Loc X Press, which I believe is non longer in production but a great press if you can get your hands on one.
The last press I show a short clip of is made by Specialty Archery and is also a great press but it is a bit more expensive at around $1000 retail.
Leave me a comment on which press you prefer.

I've got the Ventum 33 from last year ,and I'm considering the EZ Green press will I need any special fingers for that model?

@@stevenmorgan6816 the standard fingers work for that bow. I believe when you purchase a new Green press it comes with 2 additional short fingers. 👊🏽

Cool vlog and very informative also about bow presses. Can I ask you your honest opinion is which press do you like and why because I'm wanting to buy a press to do my own work on my bow. I have no issue with money to buy one and both X Press and LCA EZ Press are really good quality just hard to decide. I appreciate your thoughts on this matter. Keep up the great vlogs!!! Sorry I also forgot to also add in the Speciality Archery press also!!!

Thanks for watching. I like the Last chance press for 90% of bow and bow work. Also having the draw board attachments can make it an all in one home shop tool. I will be doing a follow up video on this feature. If money isn't a big deal I would consider the Specialty press as it does have a few extra safety features and if you are only working on your own equipment, speed isn't a huge issue as the Specialty press will take a bit longer to set up. For the record, I do have an LCA press at my home shop. Can't go wrong with either option

Hey man thank you for making this video! Oddly enough I'm getting my last chance green ez press tomorrow,.
Now I have a Mathews V3X which has those "pockets" where I assume you fit the fingertips and just go? Just checking to see if this is correct, that's how the guy at the shop pressed it with a LC.
