- Today we are testing the tiago Lemo New Balance 808 skate shoe. Tiago lemos' second pro skate shoe the 808 is very bulky much like his old new balance pro model but this time it gives me DC Shoes vibes. This skate shoe is very reminiscint of the 90's era of skateboard just like tiago lemos himself. The new Balance tiago 808 definitely is an adjustment but I think long term I'm going to love this shoe.
The fact that Reynolds loves the shoe says a lot.
I've had my eye on these shoes for a while and still have yet to pull the trigger. Cool review!

Been wanting to try this shoe, I like cupsoles, and they usually have a break in period, but I have heard this shoe has a pretty long break in period, which kind of concerns me, glad to see one of my favorite channels covering this shoe 👍🏻

I've been skating the DC Metric since it came out last year. I think you'd really like them. Lots of protection but not super chunky.
I've debated on getting a pair of these or the 1010's for the summer. I'm working my way to bulkier cupsoles so these might be a good gateway shoe.
I’m sure they skate a lot better than the counterfeit Nikes you are used to
So buy us the legit ones seems ur really have some bucks to buy those legits ones

For me the 1010 New balance Numeric has been the most beautiful skateboarding shoe made in a long time, the 808 is cool, but if you asked me why you wanna buy, i'll say the first one , no doubt.
boardfeel was the best joke of the video XD I just bought a pair and i had to get used to the fact that even broken in the board feel is almost non existant but i kinda like it they skate so good

I love stiff cupsoles they make me way more confident in skating than sloppy vulcs
yes , skating vulcs feels like skating in socks no protection , when people always say well what about boardfeel , you learn to adjust cupsoles are much better imo
after skating it for a while did you get used to the lack of board feel? i want to try them for my sensitive legs/feet but ive only ever skated vans and converse so yea i like my boardfeel lol

After 2 sessions I microwaved them for 45s walked around till they cooled down now there feeling pretty awesome

I bet these Tiagos were the reason the Boss started to skate for NB as well. I ordered the brown 808 but my toe area is too wide for those shoes. I think these are absolute killer shoes. Been a long time since I looked twice at a skateshoe.

@@jaciobe For their running shoes yes. Not for the skate series though. There is not any skate shoe company that has width choices. It just doesn't exist.
hows the shoes? i'm currently skating ishods and im looking for something to replace them cause my feet are wide and they're narrow as hell.
@@deppcoin they were comfy except my toes are too wide. Quality was good as well. Not too overpriced for a skateshoe.
Bulky shoes are the best! We could skate in old airman and still have board feel and on a flat board so I don't get why people complain of no board feel with bulky shoes.

Whats better overall 1010 or 808?
You are right about airflicking feeling, not feeling the same resistance/control at first. This will get better but never like thin shoes do. But there is a hack! I noticed using my standard thunder trucks instead of the hollow light thunders it felt better ! More pressure against the foot a bit more grip and stronger/ better pop & control feeling. It tried several times it feels for me a bit better using the heavier trucks. Also my feet and legs feel much better in these shoes love em after getting used to them, took a little while. Last forever also keeps it's solid protection and good fit .
A Bulky shoe is much better and a cup sole more impact protection. Board feel isn’t something I need in a Skate shoe

This doesn’t even look that bulky compared to shoes like the DC Lynx. I swear vulc fans say anything is “too bulky” if the shoes isn’t a paper sock stapled onto cardboard

If your used to skating Jankowski's or any vulcanized shoes this is definitely not going to break in for you over night. If your foot is used to thin shoes a good shoe like this is going to suck for you
The shoe is fire as hell but is really uncomfortable, also the arch of the foot is painful and there are not middle numbers, you get something small or too big, I regret buying this shoe, nice looking shoe but too painful
I like the way these look but their way too heavy to be a skate shoe man 2 pounds a shoe is just so much weight

i hate this shoe so much. maybe it’s just me but they are not comfortable at all, they feel bulky and clunky but offer none of the comfy padding. the insole is horrible as well, just a small piece of foam. you mentioned how they are meant to bring back that 90s bulky asthetic, these do not do that. something about them is off when you wear them with baggy jeans. you can only really rock them with a nyjah fit. they never feel broken fully in and the outsoles rubber grip on the bottom of the shoes began to peel off during the 2nd week of owning them
