If you're new here thanks for coming across, I served in the Australian Infantry from 2014-2021, With specialist qualifications in Heavy Weapons/Anti-Armour, Combat First Aid, With a tour to Afghanistan as a crew commander of a Armoured Mobility Vehicle.
Upon my Return I was unexpectedly diagnosed with a Incurable and Inoperable Brain tumour that is slowly killing me. I was also awarded the Queens Order of Australia Medal (OAM) hence the post nominals after my name. Then Being medically separated from the Army I flew to Ukraine in 2022 for 6.5months and now make content full time. I really appreciate you being here Thankyou

Yup, makes those bases a legitimate target of war. What I think they'll do is begin and end in Poland, but do a touch and go in Ukraine before continuing onto their targets to try and create some legitimacy.

It would be a game changer if Ukraine having defended for 2.5 years without being able to fully attack the aggressor country had that restriction lifted.. to date it's been a one way war.. Russia the aggressor basically free to wage war from it's own territory without fear of response..
It's amazing that Ukraine has defended so well for si long with all the disadvantages imposed on it.
Had Ukraine been free to fully fight back from the start it would be a very different map now..

A experienced ground grew need 50 hours for 1 flighthour. And ukranian ground grews have 0 experience with a mid modern plane. The dutch f16 where written off du to flighthours. That means 100% have cracked airframes. And the biggest Technical danger. Ukraine does not have a clean inviroment.
So a real big FOD danger. The f16 intake sits low. And in contrast to migs only 1 engine. And putin was correct with every dutch f16 is a nucleair danger. The dutch are nucleair updatet ( i don,t know the danish)

There is a little problem you people miss. Weapons manufacturing in eu is quite expensive. So everything is going down,whilst Russia is happy to destroy all this equipment in Ukraine. That’s why russia is not rushing anywhere. They come in, Ukraine counter attacks, russia retreats, drops bombs, kills 100s, and just moves in again. And keeps on doing it always.
Now patriots that had to be sent to eu, will be sent to Ukraine to get destroyed. Sooner or later this will divide nato. Then another sleeping beast might wake up, I’m on about china. Something big is happening and it’s not for us to understand.

Training and experience. It was as relevant 80 years ago as it is today. Even though the Luftwaffe was operating in their own airspace losses became catastrophic largely due to the lack of training and experience of the pilots. Many brave young men are going to be lost flying F16s that are beyond their use by date. European leaders are justifying sending much of their military equipment to the Ukraine whilst telling their citizens Putin is going to make them next. Good kit is essential, as you say Willie, but good kit and sending men to the conflict line with little or no training will hardly help. Depressing but true. When this disaster is over, I can see Uncle Sam telling NATO that there will be conditions to their future participation, and, that will be all NATO members must buy and use American made equipment only. The MIC never loses.

Oh no, absolutely wrong. Russia 100% will NOT accept a ceasefire without being given ALL of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics. Afterall, Slavyansk (in the UKrainian controlled part of Donetsk), is where the entire Separatist uprising started in 2014. Slavyansk is the Philadelphia (1st Capital of the US) of the Donetsk People's Republic. The Russian and especially their DPR forces, who actually have fought very well by the way, will NOT stop til they have liberated it fully. Did we Americans let the British keep Philadelphia? No, we retook Philly after Valley Forge.
NO WAY will the Russians let Ukraine keep Slavyansk or Kramatorsk. Those cities are almost 100% ethnic Russian, the separatist movement started there in 2014, and hell will freeze over before the Russians let Ukraine keep them.
The DPR forces are determined to eventually liberate these cities and they will not stop til the Donetsk People's Republic is totally liberated. Same goes for the Lugansk People's Republic, those Don Cossacks of Lugansk are tough fighters, they have less territory to retake, but they take those last few remaining towns under Ukie control.
Keep smoking your crack. As soon as Trump is back in the White House (little question of that now), there will be a peaceful negotiation. Trump said so today at one of his rallies.
There may be some negotiation of the final borders of the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia provinces (oblasts), but Zaporizhzhia City is pretty much 95% ethnic Russian, and these provinces have been annexed already, so, maybe just some minor border corrections. We'll see what Trump works out with Putin. Zelensky will be LONG GONE by then you know.

Last I heard from pro Ukrainian sources was they have 20 pilots able to fly F16's so the F16 supply exceeds the amount of people who can pilot them by leaps and bounds. Add to that that all these pilots are poorly trained cause they had to hurry and I can guarantee you that most of them won't survive their first mission.

Why does NATO have to make excuses for Ukraine not having this, that or the other? As far as I am concerned NATO, a defensive alliance, have made unprecedented acts of generosity/ pity to a country which wasn't, isn't, and will never be of any strategic relevance. You have to do a lot of mental gymnastic to say that a country and people more corrupt than Mexico has any relevance. Ukrainians should thank us for every bullet we donate to them. We paid for it, they are just demanding it. Ukraine will not join NATO, it will not join the E.U. This started as a good attempt to weaken Russia, now its too costly just so our politicians can save face! This is a perfect lesson of what happens when you engage with the ukrainian.

Russia has the best air defence in the world s300 s400 and s500 and has already destroyed Ukraines airforce, hence the reason why they need f16's. As others have pointed out Russia will target the air strips these f16 will launch from and even if they do take off they will not last long against Russia's layered air defence.

Willy I love your channel and your story. I have followed you for a long time. I am also a US Army vet. I feel that this is a no win for Ukraine for one glaring reason. This is definitely a war of attrition, its obvious Putin cares nothing about sacrificing men. The numbers simply dont favor Ukraine at all. Russia simply has more meat for the grinder. Now with the involvement of the DPRK this is even more exacerbated. As a US taxpayer I dont mind funding UA if they actually had a chance to expel Russia from their territory. However I feel at this point we are contributing to further destruction and loss of life with no ultimate change from the 2014 border. Thank you for your content.

What was interesting about Toretsk was how fast the Russians took all those fortified positions, it's clearly evident that either the Ukrainian troops where fresh conscripts and no good ore more likely they simply didn't have enough troops to cover all the entrenchments. There is no way that number of fortifications should have fallen so fast otherwise.

You have no idea what a massive supply of super boots , headsets and night vision would mean for the corruption on the ground level . None of the equipment would make it to the soldiers on the ground . it would be sold on the black market to third parties . Willy, i think that the combat kit is sometimes lets just say lacking because the soldier is rushed to the front, why spend thousands on a soldier who is going to man a trench, or garrison an apartment building. Why buy good kit for a soldier who is poorly trained and may die rather quickly on the front. Why equip a soldier who is likely to never even see the enemy but die from long range artillery or FAB?
Instead the more elite units get the good kit. Survive the hell on the front, get experienced and those soldiers will get put into better units and given better kit
F16's will do SFA, apart from the fact that Russia will go all out to destroy the aircraft/runway/infrastructure once they enter the AO.
Am betting that Spetznaz will also know every one of those pilots that are under training and just like one of the early Kangaroo Exercises, SF will probably pay them a visit

More important than the F-16s is they have just turned Maygar's Birds into a full drone regiment so the generals are finally starting to understand that a drone is a stand alone weapon and not just an adjunct to an infantry platoon.
If Ukraine follows through and converts more of the drone squads into full blown regiments with access to all of the available drones from high level recon through heavy bombers down to kamikaze drones with ranges of up to 20km then we will start to se some real movement in favour of Ukraine.

Maybe some specialist will explain me: S300 seems to be most used system to shoot down Iranian made drones and Russian missles. Each day Ukraine is reporting something 20--30 of those shooten down. Where do they get missles to that system? Obviosly, they should have run out of those long time ago after 2+ years of war. Patriot systems didn't made any difference. Lockheed Martin is producing only around 200 missless per day, so not near to be used in Ukraine.
The usa produce 550 rockets a year for the patriot. So in 2 day,s the production for more than a year is shot. And israel stands in line before ukraine.
Stockpiles of S300 missiles were probably vast in Eastern Europe, but at some point they will decline.
