- Q: What did you do over the weekend?
A: Not much. I did go to this cafe and they had this amazing grilled sandwich. It was on the pricier side, but I don’t know anywhere else that makes them like that. I mean look at it.
Q: Wow, that does really look good.
A: I would totally have this for breakfast every morning.
Q: So, is that your new favorite place?
A: Could be. I mean, it was only my second time there, and I had a very different experience the first time.
Q: Why? Were they rude or something?
A: No. Everything was fine. It’s just that the food I had the first time I was there just wasn’t all that good. It was one of their more recommended dishes on their menu and it was just “yuk”. In fact, I didn’t think I’d go back there, but I was in the area walking my dogs with my wife and it was getting really hot out and that, believe it or not, happens to the be the only place in the area that allows dogs inside. So we went inside, and I just thought I’d have a cup of coffee or something. It was my wife who ordered the sandwich. Of course, I ended up eating almost half of it.

이 포스팅 보고 느끼점. LA선생님의 느낌으로 많은 분들이 공부하고있는 오픽의 주제들에 관한 DIALOG또는 JUST SMALL TALK 을 하나씩 만들어주시면 정말 좋을것 같다는 생각이.. ㅎ 국내 대부분의 오픽샘플들은 한국형이 대다수 입니다. LA에서 듣다가 교재를 보면 급 하기가 싫어져요. 어색해서 ㅎㅎ 한번 생각해보셔요 슨생님 ~~!! 😊

it 이 아닌 them 으로 쓰여지는 이유가 궁금해서요.

I had just finished my project, so I thought I'd just take a rest at home over the weekend.
But I, believe it or not, happened to run into my ex-girlfriend when I left the office.
Our relationship wasn't all that good, but I realized she is better than the other girls after we broke up. So I asked her to hang out on Saturday night.
I found a new Korean traditional restaurant for her.
It was on the pricier side and a little bit far from my house, but it was worthwhile to visit.
We had a good conversation and made a decision to restart a date.
I would totally focus on this relationship this time.
I was studying, reading comments and I'm just curious if this is your story. Did you really restart with your ex?

한국어를 영어로 직역하면 99.99% 가 콩클리쉬 입니다. 그래서 단어의 Nuance 를 알아야만 하지요. 그러나 한국어에는 없는 뉘앙스가 너무 많습니다. 그래서 이해하기가 더욱 어렵지요.

한국인에게 영어가 어려운 이유는 한국어 어휘와 문법이 영어에 비해서 턱없이 부족하기 때문이 아닐까 합니다. 일례로 시제와 정관사 부정관사를 예로 들어봐도 한국어에는 없는것을 새롭게 이해하고 배워야 하기 때문입니다. 10,000단어 가지고 생활하는 사람이 100,000단어를 사용하는 사람과는 게임 자체가 되지 않습니다. 영어가 한국인에게 어려운 이유 입니다.
