- I managed to get into Unbound 2024 (108 mile race) and had an absolute blast. This was easily THE best event I've ever participated in. We let the pros be pros, while the rest of us were on our own journeys. We competed against ourselves, the heat, the flint rock and the rolling hills of Kansas. Kansas is NOT flat, lol. The race coordinators, volunteers, pros and local community of Emporia were all STELLAR. High vibes and made us all feel welcome. Such a great time!

Awesome coverage Todd. Looked like a fun race. Kudos for stopping to help that lady. Man you weren't kidding, that gravel got super chunky as you got farther out. Props to the folks who gave you the road side coke.
@@TrailSage Thanks man. My paternals always kick in when I see someone in trouble, especially that soon into a race. That coke really saved me. I was hauling arse into the water oasis at mile 92 already out of water, only to find out there wasn't any left. Completely deflating. I would turn puncture a couple more times after that, and really hit a low spot. That boost of sugar got me through to the end. Thanks for watching brother 🙌
