I liked using a cat 980 with a 30 foot pusher. Unbelievable power and unbelievable amount of snow it can move. Operated at Port of Newark, Newark NJ.
What a great snowy Minnesota winter for testing snow plows and pushers. Great job as always, Stan.
Definitely a good snowy winter! Thank you Don
I have used a 16' snow pusher and I liked it for clearing large parking lots with a wheel loader. I liked this video, showing the options that fit the application, great video Stan!
Appreciate that, thank you !
You've convinced me enough to put these pushers in our 2020 city budget! Great videos!
That's awesome, thanks !!
Just putting wings on your truck plows while pushing parking lots makes a huge difference.
A good payloader with snow blower for deep snow and drifts. The sectional pushers look handy as hell for small to mid snows with out winds
Great difference of the two main snow equipment (pusher & plow ). Thanks for the vid.....need one of your hats...!!!
Thank you !
I’m for Canada and I never how much snow the mid west got until these videos
The best combo i think is a tractor with a snowblower on the back and a snowplow/bucket on the front loader. I have used this combo for some time and i love it. With the snowblower on the back i can drive forward and throw the snow out of the way, and with the plow on the front i can easily clean up intersections and what the blower doesn’t get.
So ready for summer. I run a landscaping business down south. I have no reason to learn about snow plowing yet I still keep watching all these snow plow videos you put up haha. I guess your videos are just that interesting haha
Really appreciate you watching Conner , thank you !!
@@connercarruth6740, They are addictive !
You should do a video on snow removal on gravel, tips and best attachments.
Great suggestion Phillip, thank you for watching !
Dirt drives that are narrow and snow must be pushed to wider spots ✅
Keep the blade or box up a little bit so you will not scalp the gravel
Pocono Metal Craft bucket ski!!!
Excellent video Stanley,thankyou.
Kage!! Best of both worlds in one piece of equipment...nothing better
Very cool video- we love the sectionals! Keep it up!
Thank you Aaron!
What were the temps while you were plowing? There's a big difference between 25° and 5° when it comes to the ability to scape a lot to bare pavement. That being said, your lots look great!
Congrats on 300K? I've been here for a while, love the videos Stanley. Wranglerstar sends his regards.
Thank you and thanks for the support!
Arctic all the way. It's unbelievable how productive they are. We have a 14 ft and 11'6" ft on Volvo l90s. Won't go any other way
Do you drive the 14’ on the rd in traffic?
Great review and video.
Once that sectional plow has hydraulic wings, then I believe it will be the ultimate plow/pusher, bar none !!
Thank you and thanks for viewing !
Congratulations on 300k!
Thank you !!
Damm you got snow! Keep it there we want spring!!!!
Yes we do!
Ok... I now lust for a plow!
Thanks for sharing 👍 and a snow plow for me cool 😎
Def is not that big of an issue in the cold. The system is dormant untill the def tank heats up. No need to preheat. Get in and get to work. Once it thaws and the exhaust is up to temp it will go active and start dosing. I do a good part of our aftertrestment work. Biggest issue I see is operators not working the machine hard enough to keep it up to temp so it can't regen.
Excellent Video!
In talking about NOT keeping all four wheels on the ground, this puts extra wear and tear on the plow.
Also one thing to add about a pusher versus plow, is the shape of the area being plowed. Long narrow areas a plow is likely better than a pusher.
Thank you !
When every this crappy weather goes away do a video on a t870 bobcat, and compare it to cat 299d2 and have challenges for them both to complete, great video and love the channel👍
Thanks Deano !
I have to say, I am considering one of those sectional plows after watching this.
Can you do a video on how going form being on the side walk crew to a plow truck?
This winter I worked for a snow removal company in an airport, we clear the parking's, sidewalks, roads and tarmacs, we use snow pushers and snow plows, the snow plows with wings we use typically on the loaders, for roads and a bit also on the tarmacs for loaders pulling the snow brooms, to haul snow we use John Deere 6250 tractors all equipped with extendable snow pushers in the front ( up to 20 feet) and rear(12 to 16 feet), the front ones we can angle them but have fixed wings, so we can do curbs almost perfectly, the rear one is also extendable but in a fixed angle. When we need to scrape ice, we overload the pressure on the pushers, we then loose a bit of traction, when the ice is very hard, we call the loaders in wheelly mode, they switch their blades and put the buckets on, and scrape ice on 2 wheels, that is the only thing that works. We also have mini Kubota tractors for alleys and sidewalks, with blades with adjustable wings and snowblower in the back. My take is simple, we have only one blade with no wings, and it is almost a useless piece of equipment, we never use it, I only wish the huge tractors had adjustable wings, it would be the perfect equipment, you can haul a lot of snow with a blade with adjustable winds, when you need just to move the snow aside from the road ans use all the force of the blade, you simply fold the wing completely in the back, but you can switch in a second to haul snow by getting the wings in the front! But the money is on the large tractors, they can haul very huge amount of snow with both snow pushers.
Thanks for the comments Tony !
Congratulations on 300k! #roadto1million
Thank you !!
Three years ago i had two trucks with boss 9'6" with wings and a JD260 skid with a boss sk10. I now run two loaders, one with a 10.5ld sectional and the other with a 14hd sectional. I have 10 more accounts than three years ago and my operating expenses are down 57% with fuel and labor savings. Even with the additional accounts the routes are completed in the same time. Size of accounts vary from small gas stations to truck stops. Located in nw montana, 33.7 inches of snow for the month of February and totally kept up with the snow fall without stress. Im done with plow trucks! Loaders and sectional plows from here on out. Competition is running kage plows. Same plow time but sectional plows cut the snow and ice to asphalt. Kage doesnt even come close to the same quality of finish. If your knocking a sectional its because you havent ran one. As far as wearables, the cutting edges get about 300 hrs and the rubber blocks last forever if you lift the plow as taught by sectional instructional video, or maybe 100 hrs if you insist on using the plow like a bucket and digging at the snow pile. Once you fold and crush the rubber blocks they dont have the same holding power and will snap prematurely. But money made far outweighs the cost of cutting edges and blocks.
Congrats on 300K subs! Wranglerstar says hi!
Appreciate that , thank you !!
Congrats on 300k subs
Thank you !
Bad to the bone brother keep up the awesome work god bless you and your family
Thank you Thomas, you too!
Hey Stan, great vid as always! I just had a question, I actually operated a skid with 10' Arctic pusher so you happen to know what the specs are for max curb height they will push over ? I plow a major DC and some of the curbs are greater than average height. Thanks !
Great video! You should try an HLA snow wing. It’ll do what a pusher and a plow will do. They’re expensive but worth it.
Thanks Jeff!
I tried to buy one last year the company never came through , got my deposit back , bought the Kage in stock made in USA
-35* C for 2 weeks here, jcb 437 loader... DEF didn’t freeze at all... not a single issue.....
Congrats on 300k - Wranglerstar directed his viewers to your channel!
Appreciate that and thanks for viewing !!
agree with the 74hp machines, just moved up to a 74hp Wacker Neuson sw17 from a 68hp 226d cat. 74hp does better on fuel. 74hp Wacker sw17 get 3.5 gallons for 10.2 hours and the 68hp Cat does 2.7 gallons for 3 hours of work. Wackers was at 3/4 throttle and the Cat was at full throttle.
What is the best value for big commercial lots for price and efficiency?
1. Truck & Plow - Around $50k depending on the setup
2. Skid Steer with Truck & Trailer - $100k for skid steer, trailer and truck
3. Loader with big pusher - $100k all in but can't use a loader for summer work

🎶I'm a Raptor
And I'm pushing some snow

Wherever I go 🎶
A pusher that goes on the bucket edge I prefer. Can drop the box and use the bucket when needed
Honestly the best thing you could put for Loader is a metal plus Blade imo
metal pless*
I have metal pless blade. It's nice
Could you chain up the sldg maybe front wheels only and put it against a bigger wheel loader for some fun?
ÑICE on the music...very well done!🤔
Not too loud😀...good rhythm...🤗
Well done!
Thank you , happy you like it !
Have you looked at Metal pless? I want one for my compact cat loader! A plowmaxx
Any reviews or advice on loader scales? I'm looking into getting one but can't find any advice online.
I want to see skid loader artic pusher vs skid loader quattroplow
And I want to see 16" pull plow vs 15'6 artic pusher
I don't care if they are the same or not...I watch your channel for a working fix!
I'm stuck in bed with a broken back and love your work, move that shi# videos!
May the good Lord bless you and speed your recovery!!!!!!!
In my opinion for a skid loader, in my opinion you can’t be the Kage best of both worlds, limited parts that can fail. Built like tank!
For a backhoe or loader the Artic Sectional pusher was the best in 2011 when I purchased it and still is the best today.
Just depends on the machine I guess.
Def fluid will freeze but all def tanks have heaters in them. Your equipment will run no problem. Yes it is more to go wrong but get used to it because it's here to stay.
Do they make standard plows for pickups?... I'd buy a sectional plow for a pickup truck.
To the pros out there: what's best for a simple home owner doing their own driveway and maybe 1 or 2 other driveways tops? I have a 34.5 hp tractor with ssqa loader but thinking to just to get a truck with a 7.5 -8' plow. Seeing snow pushers and possible snow blowers makes one think which is faster and easier? A truck can be driven place to place easily whereas the tractor would have to be towed. Truck seems to plow faster than tractor too. Any pro input or are you guys too large scale to even think that small? Lol thx
can you plz do a video of all of the eqment for snow plowing plz thank you.
Metal pless wing plow!!!! All in one
i remember you saying that your businesses are separate from eachother. but do you contract the snow moving through your lawn care company or construction company or both?
Subscribed because of Wranglerstars suggestion
Thanks Charles and happy you are here !
What about kage plows that can turn into pushers
Hey Stan, great video. I run 3 trucks (GMC 2500) with western wide-out plows. I am thinking of getting a tractor or loader with one of these arctic sectional snow pushers. I have heard that one of these arctic snow pushers can do the work of 3 pick up trucks. I would like to know your opinion on this and what would you do if you were me. All my jobs are within minutes from each other if that helps you with giving me your opinion. Thanks for any feedback you can give.

Hey Jeremy, thanks for the reply. I have been thinking about using a tractor/loader with a sectional plow for awhile now. I'm pretty confident that next winter season I will be adding this piece of equipment to my company. The more research I do, and the more comments I read in video's like these, the more I realize it's time to change things up. Thanks again!!!
ok i know this might be a old video but can you put a artic plow on a pick up ?
Snow removal entertains me. We clear our hard surfaces with Oshkosh H series blowers and brooms. But when a blower sucks up a manhole cover it is NOT a fun fix.
Very true, thanks for watching Steven !
What's the difference between a wheel skidster and a track skidster
Anyone else watching that has NOTHING to do with the industry? Snow removal and Stanley are just satisfying.
Can you go over how to gather accounts when first starting a plowing business?
Good suggestion, I will keep it in mind. Thanks !
How to gather accounts when starting a plowing business:
-Tell people you have a plow
-Profit
@@coryhalvorson8874 not as simple as that.
This is like trying to say which screwdriver is best A Philips or a flat blade. They are both different And both good But they do 2 different job functions. It's the same with the snow pusher and the snow plow.
There sure is a lot of footage of pushing/plowing snow over cleared areas.
You should try a HLA snow wing
One of those plows but with wings? Then you can sign me up when you start selling those is Europa! The seem to follow the ground great! But i need to be able to go bouth small and large at different times! ❤🇸🇪
So where was the contest between the loader and 6 pickup trucks?
So I bought a light material bucket and use it for plowing. Is this a good idea or should I use it just for stockpiling?
It depends on what you're plowing, how much area, how much volume (of snow), and who you're plowing for.
Looks like your using a s185 in the video…basically 60 horsepower. What size pusher are you using on that machine? And what size blade is recommended here to use on a s185 also? Thanks
Come to northern Ontario and try those plows lol we got a lot here
How much snow did you get this season Dusty ?
dont you guys have heated truck beds up there municipally? we have state, you have provinces but you get it
do you guys miss the nordiques as much as I do over here in Boston? I miss that royal and white.
4:55 Next fall? So 2020? Cause fall would be 2019.
Yes, this drives me nuts.
Hey, new subscriber, Wranglerstar sends his regards.
Thanks Michail and happy you're here !
I think Arctic company getting a new customer.
I see you gave your 2 wheelie guy the Raptor. The Sectional free floating concept is lost on him....
I don't have either. I have a snowblower! Haha!
I have an terex loader with a v plow on it
What do you think about chains on the pusher
Snowplow 44 it will damage the pavement
FishFind3000 that’s what I thought it would do just wondering 👍
Have you seen the JCB Teluscid
So I'm on the search for a Arctic HD Snow wing blade for a JD 564 payloader. Any ideas on who, where, and how much? Anyone using them?
When the first clip is from your home town
KAGE so you can have both plus tilt side to side
Stan do a video on pricing out jobs if your renting all your equipment
Thanks for the suggestion Devon, I will keep it in mind.
roader nice video🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 🖒🖒
U need some lights on the bobcat bud
How do you drive down the rd with a 15ft box plow
The def systems cant fail if you delete them.
My 595t moves mountains with sectional.
What’s best for a 30hp tractor, a pusher or a plow?
Derek just a bucket. Those tractors don’t have much weight so your not gonna be able to push a lot. Either a tiny box or plow. There’s one on “tractor time with tim” RUclips channel and he’s running a 1 series jd with a special small pusher
FishFind3000 thanks for the info
Here because of Wranglerstar's shout out
Thank you and glad you are here !
DEF starts to crystalize at 12°F (-11°C). Also, "During machine operation, SCR systems are designed to provide heating for the DEF tank and supply lines. If DEF freezes when the machine is shut down, start up and normal operation of the machine will not be inhibited. The SCR heating system is designed to quickly return the DEF to liquid form and the operation of the machine will not be impacted. The freezing and unthawing of DEF will not cause degradation of the product." (credit www.jmesales.com/commonly-asked-questions-about-diesel-exhaust-fluid-def/) Also from Case " DEF in the machine will freeze, but it will not affect machine performance or expand beyond the size of the tank. DEF is quickly thawed during the machine warm-up process on cold mornings." So as you can see, DEF is not really a big deal. Is it an extra step, yes, is it pain to carry around, yes, but if you need big machines, you need big machines.
I've used both over 23 years both are good but in ontario the, only way I've found is an experienced operator .we just 2fof snow t
What about one for a truck!?
I’m sure the new record snowfall for February in Milwaukee has helped make these videos possible! Great video Stan! What do you think about the record snowfall Stan?
This is Mpls not Milwaukee.
Mr M sorry I meant to say Minneapolis
I have a idea with arctic they could make plows just like that for the free way trucks for potholes and ext that would probably make a lot of money
Where did all this Case equipment come from?
Alden Meyers check out the arctic channel not sure if Stanley came down to Chicago but that’s some of arctics fleet in Chicagoland
