Yea it just depends. There are decent spots in midtown and I see a lot of families that want that urban life go to Hyde Park in midtown as the homes are larger. Also over off 39th in the Volker area I see alot more empty nesters close to all the bars and restaurants off 39th st. and Westport. However yes there are some pretty dangerous spots here and there depending on the time. I have had former classmates I know personally that have been shot and killed near Westport.
@@livinginkansascity Westport can be ok if you're in the areas south of 39th street. A lot of crime happens in the area around 39th and Main. West of Broadway is good. I wouldn't recommend renting from Del Properties. They're slum lords. I rented from them for years.

I'd recommend downtown, Brookside and Waldo myself. Midtown is too overpriced and too much crime.
