@@huntingrocks thank you! Yeah, that was the second time that I’ve bought one of their baskets, and was very happy with them both times. Most of the stuff you get from their tailings piles has a little damage or can be milky, so it’s ice getting material out that’s straight from the pockets, and is water clear, for the most part. Really high quality stuff!
@@hollynoelleAbductedUfologist lots of water at first, to try to get as much clay off as possible. Some had some iron stains on them so I put them Iron Out, and let them sit outside in the sun. They're a lot of fun to go through! I have two screens set up. I have 1/4 inch mesh with a 20 mesh (20 holes per square inch) under it to catch any of the smaller crystals that might slip through the 1/4" mesh. I hope your basket has even better pieces!!
Fantastic!! Out of curiosity, which one dig you get? I found a lot of great pieces in my last basket too. Plus, it's nice having better quality ones straight from the pocket and we don't have to worry about all of the dings and chips from riding around in the dump trucks and hitting the crystals with our tools trying to sift through all of the tailings.
Did you get a chance to look at the baskets before choosing? I’ll be coming from Kansas in September & now I’ll definitely think about buying one of these but I’m not sure how to choose a quality basket like that. Hoping to also get into the phantom mine at Wegner if they can get enough people to sign up
Hello! Yes, you can look at the baskets, but they don't want you going through the baskets, as-in, putting your hands in them and rifling around. other than that, you're welcome to look at them to try to decide which one you think is the best one.
Hey, Joe! My first time here, and what a blast! I was gainfully employed/occupied for a couple of hours, but got myself over-stimulated, so I had a nap. Anyway, I am having such a wonderful time. So do you ship? Or--better yet--where are you located?
Oh, I don't work for them, I just bought one of their baskets and wanted to share my experience so others can see what to expect if they purchase a basket from the Ron Coleman Mine. But yes, when I sell stuff, I do ship. In fact, I am thinking of putting together a large, flat rate box with a mix of all sorts of pieces from my mining trips to offer to anyone who would be interested. Stay tuned...I'll try to put something together this week.
