      CockYaLegS The 2v actually loses hp when you go above 5,500 rpm so idk why you would ever push the old 4.6 that high. These are old American V8s. Not 4 cylinder Japanese cars or rotary.

People have gone quick in 2vs. Andrew on mustang lifestyle went 10.9 at 125 with a turbo bullit stock engine and trans. Im not gonna say itll take repeated drag strip passes for years to come but theyre also tougher than people give them credit for. His car put down 418 whp btw. @Matt Miller Stop giving advice, please. You have NO CLUE what you're talking about. Built Turbo 2v's making 1000+ RWHP are doing it at FAR MORE cost than Coyote cars. Your two valve with a "vortex blower" (it's VORTECH) will be putting down power equivalent to a mild bolt-on junkyard Coyote that has INFINITELY more versatility. It's cute that 2v's are in the low 8's. The Coyote platform is in the 3's. Anyone who advocates for anything but a 4v or Coyote to make power shouldn't be telling others what to do.
      The 2v is inferior in almost every single way. To make any serious power, you're looking at heavily ported Trick Flow heads, a forged bottom end, and boost. You let me know when a 2v can EVER be built to 600 RWHP NA or when a 2v can hit 700+ RWHP reliably with nothing but a small blower.

      @trumanhubbard44 5 лет назад +3

      On the 2v the first time yes. We used a crank shaft that we had laying around that wasn’t as scarred. We had it machined and got the rod bearing to fit it. The second time it didn’t damage the crank shaft much, so we were able to smooth it and roll a couple of bearing in through the oil pan.

    • @diptofu
      @diptofu 5 лет назад

      Truman Hubbard so did you just pull off the pan and timing chain cover, remove the chains from the crank, unbolt the rod caps and drop the crank out? Think I have a spun bearing on my 2v and wondering if it’s work saving $4k parts/labor on a reman’d 2v long block, and trying to just replace the rod bearings myself, or if it’s just BOUND to fail again after all that effort?

      @@latemodelrestoration yeah the white is super clean. Nice attention to details.
      Would love to see a white tvs or Whipple slapped on top. Or maybe even twin turbos

    I was really contemplating on doing a coyote swap in my 2000 GT but after watching this I think doing another terminator swap would be the best bang for my buck just my opinion....

    Hi LMR team. My dad has a 86 mustang gt. That has been his car for about 10 yrs after waiting for another 12 yrs to have it cause financial situations. Currently is pretty much stock besides paint word about 6 yrs ago but still not having ac and functional radio... stuff like that. With the past of the yrs and energy he lost the love and the passion he had on this car cuase he always been putting his family and the people before him self.My dream is to be able to afford a restoration like this ones you guys do for my dad car. I will like know about how much it will cost so I can prepare a budget with time. Thanks!
    Love you guys videos ,excellent content.

    @Late Model Restoration, is that true RWHP? Or corrected to add back the parisitics? Can't imagine a non-boosted 5.0 putting down 425, when its rated for 435 HP? Please advise......

    • @latemodelrestoration
      @latemodelrestoration  5 лет назад

      This was true RWHP on this car. As with any coyote swap you have multiple bolt-on parts that add to the power numbers like the CAI, long tubes, and the performance tune.

      Inventory specialist only make like 14 hour. He just wanted to give himself a title so he wouldn't feel like a bum. I make more than inventory specialist. I know because I used to be one.
