Why do people keep saying brushes are cleaner than your hands? You should wash your hands multiple times a day(at least). Do you wash your brushes multiple times a day and immediately before putting your makeup on? Think about just the dust and bacteria in the air that can settle on them as they dry. We all love our sponges and brushes but come on people... your hands are cleaner.
See, I'm taking microbiology right now and learned that most people don't know how to wash their hands properly. People really like to clean their palms and the back of their hands but it's the fingers that pick up all the bacteria..
Also, our fingers touch much more things throughout the day so we have a lot more to worry about than just dust and bacteria in the air that dirty our brushes. So, I wouldn't say that your hands are a safer bet. Unless she's using hand sanitizer then it's all good. lol.
There is no way for a brush to be cleaner than a hand, many people wash their brushes only once a week, but even then they use simple soap or a shampoo. Making sure your hands are clean is much easier than tkaing care of a brush with lots of hair.

There's nothing wrong with simple soap, surfactants should be enough, there's no need for all that anti-bacterial crap. It just bothered me that it's obvious some people aren't putting thoughts into how dirty our hands could be and that most people don't wash their hands correctly. However, I agree that it's much easier to make sure your hands are sanitary than to spot clean your brushes all the time. Long as we're washing our hands correctly, :D
Sleepy Annie Strange enough I do the opposite of that. I always wash my fingers but not really care about the palms or the back of my hands.
my morning routine is literally wake up an hour before i have to go (i shower night before always) brush my teeth, wash my face, put on face lotion, do my eyebrows and put on mascara, throw my hair into a messy bun, fix my edges, throw on a hoodie and leave lol

2 eggs, 1 banana. Mash the banana up and whisk/blend (I like using a blender) in the eggs ;) add oats if you want. Cook like normal pancakes, and top with cinnamon and fruit. Bomb AF

Honestly my morning routine mostly happens at night like I get what I'm wearing, what makeup I'm going to use, what I'm eating, shoes, socks, everything together before the morning and then get ready in like 20 minutes including on eating cereal or oatmeal.

If you have great skin, a single face wash and a moisterizer with an SPF in it for morning and a different one for night should be enough. Perhaps, micellar water as well to remove makeup at night.

My morning routine: snooze button (possibly repeat), coffee, maybe brush my hair if it needs it, dress, do about five minutes worth of make up application (some days), brush teeth. I am a child and shower the night before and lay my clothes out so my mourning routine can take even less time.

if you wash your hands before, they are cleaner. Brushes have bacteria no matter how much you clean them.
If you wash your hands, it removes oils and germs, so it is cleaner than a brush, even if you clean the brush regularly.
