  • This prestream was mostly about a cheerer asking if DSP would consider using Riff dot tv to do live blind commentaries on TV shows & movies. He is interested. This segment begins at 06:10
My cursory look for a few minutes shows it as tying into your own Netflix or VRV stream playback and does offer methods to pay the streamer microtransactions during the stream.
This is edited, but only informational edits, and none between 00:17 and 19:25, I let the prestream run raw.
01:29 Ponders doing yet more Q&A if he ends South Park early, he does not.
01:35 More WWE tomorrow, bad character creation system.
02:00 No Wednesday night stream, buying costume & doing groceries/errands. Mild whining that this is why he wanted to hit the Halloween goal in August.
03:50 Friday streams, plans to play Super Mario Odyssey 1st then Assassin's Creed Origins 2nd... he will flipflop this for his schedule tweet the next day.
04:15 "Juggled juggled juggled" for these 3 games, then remembers the Halloween marathon, "craziness" "absolute insanity" "it really is gonna be nuts" with new releases until Thanksgiving.
05:20 Twitch plugs, "last stream ended with a crazy large tip" AKA $100, notes tip will "pretty much pay for the costume".
06:10 Shoutouts begin, Riff dot TV section starts. Brings up Rifftrax and rambles about copyrights. DSP thinks the guy means sell his own audio commentary files.
08:05 Riff dot TV site is described to him, notes logging into Netflix.
08:20 "But is it legal is the question" Fears what would happen when content leaves Netflix.
09:30 DSP admits he wants to do this. I've joked that DSP would happily do DSPMovies instead of DSPGaming on RUclips if the copyright issues didn't exist and if it made him the same or more money - it's less effort, and now he can't fail at the "gameplay". See Quantum Break with the TV miniseries bits as an example.
10:25 "Is it monetizable?" Wonders if people can "subscribe" in the Twitch sense.
10:50 "Dood, do you really think I'm gonna cook a giant turkey for myself?" response to a cheer. Rambles that his parents sent them one and thinks he ordered one once when Leanna was still here.
12:10 A patron suggests dumping audio commentaries on bandcamp, wonders how to monetize it.
13:00 "I like this idea" "Like at night if I'm watching a movie anyway, why not- younowatimeen?" Claims he'd have to record commentary in the office. Ponders doing 4 of these a month.
13:50 "And I make some revenue on it" "awesome idea" "And that's no work for me, that's fun for me, I love doing that." DSP regularly calls his current game streaming setup 'work'.
14:55 After talking about Disney movies off another cheer, he admits he's seen Frozen "I'm a movie buff, any of the new animated movies I see" after admitting he owns but didn't watch Brother Bear yet. Claims he watches Marvel movies, certain dramas, horror movies, "I try to stay on top of shit"
15:30 Jokes about not bothering to finish South Park FbW, "one of my unfinished playthroughs that everyone complains about, here we go ahahaha"
16:00 ratchefan a new mod & regular contributor notes playing Dead Space on laptop, DSP thinks the PC graphics would be "sick"
16:15 Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind is brought up, DSP notes he let his dad handle the DVD collection he didn't bring to WA, thinks he donated them or "sold them for a dollar each".
17:05 Finally goes to the dashboard.
17:29 DSP admits he'd reserved the Studio Ghibli BluRay "Collector's Edition boxed set" on Amazon, notes financial trouble as RUclips went south, "I had to do the responsible thing" and cancelled it. "I think it was over $100, I'd love to own that man but I gotta do the responsible thing & cancel it" "Now I don't have those... sadly"
18:15 "Oh right, I gotta make my own superhero merch", mocks something on the main menu. Having his own Teespring goes right over his head.
18:35 DSP now remembers that the Studio Ghibli Bluray set was "over $200 too" "I still want it bad" "I've only seen maybe 4" lists off Nausicaa, Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away & "1 more", also loved Ni no Kuni & can't wait for the sequel. I'll point out DSP buying that Batman 60s TV series BluRay set upon release was at least $100, perhaps $200 as well.
19:25 Recorded gameplay begins, feels the need to explain why he's redoing a fight.
