I entered the hobby trying aquascapes, so I was a bit snobby about livebearer but recently my wife saw some platties and guppies she liked, got them for a new shallow aquascape and now I’m in love with them, the colors are so bright, the easy way they accept ANY food and seeing the babies grow up is all a great joy 😊
Love regular old mutt guppies. I love the idea of not knowing what color(s) they will be until they've grown. Never know what cool new color combo I'm gonna get!
I love buying feeder Guppies and giving them a great life.
I am a swordtail kinda gal - colors, personalities, attempting to get the more colorful to breed and then get surprised when there are TONS of babies in my naturally hard water. Just beginning to learn about platies and guppies - very fun and lively fish.

Been a Platy fan for decades. I have seen some crazy swim bladder issues they develop yet live on with. I had one recently who just lives upside down going on 10 months, but eats, swims around and appears content.

I'm setting up a tank for Endlers. They remind me of the wild-type guppies that were the first fish I bred back in the 60s. Take care.
Guppies, enders, platies, and Molly's all day. Love them breed them raise them. It makes me proud that my whole aquarium is babies I caught and raised in net breeders. Some of the prettiest ones are my mutts. Especially the blue and orange platies they have a iredacent sheen over the orange with black spots beautiful!!!! I even had a blonde with the moscao blue tail.❤❤❤❤❤

I have 5blue Mickey platy and 2 black phantom tetra. the 8fry that I have grew up a bit and obviously are platy but have the same strips as the tetra is it possible to breed the two😅😂
My livebearer males are very aggressive towards eachother 😂
