Apostle Arome actually delivered God's message for the congregation to them, unknowingly, & it was crystal clear: DISCIPLINE & REVERENCE FOR GOD, & the result showed in the next day... The Holy Spirit knows how to reach His people, & His ways is not our ways...
If we have more of Arome, no one will ever preach the word. No one would ever be saved. If all it takes to silence, "men of God" is a ringing phone😂😂😂😂😂. The devil can send an agent to every meeting of God's people and boom, annointing gone😂😂😂 brother that's ridiculous and can never happen. God's annointing is greater then that. Arime was just doing his own things
@@sandradube4456 Maybe If u have more of Arome, there will be less congregations with brazen irreverence and indiscipline and God can move in their midst. The happenings on the next day of the conference is a testament to this - when they had taken correction because of his manner of rebuke the previous day.
Lets keep praying and interceding for Arome Osayi. He has been keeping a very heavy schedule lately. In one of his teachings, he emphasised the fact that a Servant of God must take breaks after 2 weeks of heavy ministrations to recover spiritually. I like to watch his old videos because they teach me so much and he is amongst the best bible teachers I have come across. I started interceding for him a while back because I started noting that his current preaching's were full of I.... and also even though it has been put out there that RCN is not a Church, it would seem that a Church was being planted in North America. I prayed intently that the Lord whose servant he is would reprimand him Romans 14:4. It is not right in my humble opinion for anyone to stand and defend another man as we cannot discern another person's heart except the Holy opens our eyes. The body of Christ must stop this senseless grovelling of ministers, papa, mama Man of God etc. If we do not accord this level of respect to our God who says he is a Great King, we must not accord it to any man Malachi 1:14. No man is above rebuke. Only God is Job 42:2 There is no one who can restrain His hand or say to Him, 'What have You done?'” Psalm 115:3. Our God is in heaven; He does as He pleases. Psalm 135:6. Even though I am disappointed with he did what he did, All things work together for good for them that love God. Only the Holy Spirit is indispensable. This highlights the fact that we all have limitations no matter the mantles we carry. LET US INTERCEDE FOR ALL SERVANTS OF GOD!
GOD does not make mistakes. He was not suppose to preach but for some reason he decided to try to preach. if this had not happened, it would have happened the next day when he was preaching. but this helped prepare the way for discipline the next day so GOD's message can be passed. this is my take. I could be wrong.
@@allenallen-wokoma3851 You have only told us here that he disobeyed God by preaching then . So the issue here isn’t the phone ringing . We should be talking about his disobedience to God then!
OK, I was actually there in person and I’ll give you my perspective, no judging. There was A LOT of distraction when the first preacher was teaching, you really had to force yourself to be focused because we were placed in the basement instead of the main room of the church and people kept standing up and moving around. Even though all that distraction happened , the preacher still gave his message and it was truly a blessing to me. Now, I believe that as Christian we need to stop over spiritualise things and stay focused on what is actually important. My point is it was rude to leave the pulpit like that doesn’t matter what the reason is. You could see the disappointment in people’s faces that left their homes expecting to be blessed by the man of God. I was sitting next to an older lady who was up since 5am and directly went to the conference after work. It is simply rude and inconsiderate, don’t try to explain it because he is an apostle. He is a man and can be arrogant. How can a phone ringing cut the flow of your anointing? There are no scriptures to support this. He was just annoyed by the phone ring, that’s all.
I agree with you that he was annoyed, and of course, how would the anointing flow when the vessel is annoyed? I feel we should help our ministers not to be distracted and so they can minister to us without fear. He is human, so let's forgive him if we do not get it from his perspective.
Omo, truly that statement of phone doing such is crazy. I believe the Holy Spirit doesn't behave like a human being. I'm a teacher, it's very irritating to see a student doing something else while you are talking. However, I've never left a class because of that, I've kicked students out, they will not cost the other students their education 🤷🏾♀️. But I stopped reading a book halfway when I was in secondary school, my classmates were talking and interrupting. I think the kind of responsibility is what makes the difference, also the Holy Spirit has fruits like endurance and patience, in there somewhere you should be able to handle annoying people.
Brother, Apostle was meant to preach. He wasn't going there to close the meeting. He never walked out. He went back to his seat. You may want to confirm if he walked out or he went to his seat. We all left the church when the church was closed by Pastor Ben. Thank you
I really don’t care how anyone feels or what anyone has to say………….. I was in court which on the door it reads NO Phone record, or Ring or calls during court session. The moment my phone Vibrated I got a ticket. At another time I picked of my phone from the holder in the car coz the sun was too much and while on charge it kept showing Not Charging coz of high temperature. I got pulled over and got a ticked which was 5 points on my License 🪪 and that would stay for 5-7 years before it goes off. How much more the house of God. You’ll be leading worship we’re recording and many more. Got will help us.
The idea of comparing the things of God and secular world is wrong because the secular world is without mercy unlike the things of God. The laws are written and consequences are set. In your case fine. Is there any written law about phone calls in the Bible? Your phone ringing in court will never make any judge to halt court session, so why would your pastors walk away from speaking to the mugus? In Christianity these days, your pastors have become your gods. If Arome comes to Atlanta, I will take my phone and make it ring until he learn to be humble in his shenanigans. This is pride.

I see no arrogance or display of anger in this. Thank you, Apostle Arome for bringing up this topic for consideration. Christians should bring absolute discipline to their place of worship. Simple!
I totally agree .In USA church they show no respect, use their phone well even the pastor will pick up their phone in the pulpit .either way I think people should have more respect when they get together by faith Jesus says I am in the midst of you therefore discipline yourself. I personally support discipline in any sphere. However, the church is open to everyone (disciplined and indisciplined) based on the demands of the great commission. While we need rules in order to maintain order, there will always be new people who will visit the church for the first time and break these rules. We cant hold the souls we are trying to reach to the same standards that we hold ourselves. The program looks like a big program that may attract foreigners and first timers . This group of people may not necessarily care about decorum, but we also cannot shut the gospel or a moment impartation out simply because a first timer or unbeliever misbehaved a few times. If our rules are not flexible enough to accommodate the babyish nature of unbelievers, how do we reach them? Or are we now saying Christian meetings are to be attended only by seasoned Christians and believers who have over the years sat under sound teachings? If you know the scripture well, you know that this defeats the core message of the gospel. Am I suggesting indiscipline in the presence of God? NO! We should uphold our principles at all times, but if you want to represent and preach the gospel, you will need patience to deal with people. Sometimes this will require flexibility and that, is not a sign of weakness.
You are not an intercessor. What Apostle is saying is truly true, any distraction can cut out the flow. By the way, go to court room when it's in session and the judge is seated and let your phone ring. You will be thrown in jail. So your god deserves less than the worldly people. I pity you. It's not about perseverance here, it's about respect and honor to God.
@sarahmuthamaki5845 You clearly didn't read what I wrote. If you did you will see I am not against instilling discipline in church gatherings. I only emphasized the need for flexibility in dispensing justice and our expectation of people who are among us but are yet to grow. Do you understand now?
@curiocityplus8704 It's not about flexibility. It's accountability. Because once the flow of anointing is disrupted you can do nothing. That's why the Bible says be still and know that I am the LORD. David says in psalm somewhere that I have quited my soul like a weaned child. The Holy Spirit is very sensitive to distractions, He will just go. Getting that flow again takes alot.
@sarahmuthamaki5845 What's the essence of the flow of the anointing if it does not end up drawing lost people to God. It is shallow to expect everyone to behave the way we expect them to behave. This does not mean that we accept indiscipline. Walking off the stage defeats the purpose of the whole gathering. Do you know how many people killed other activities just to be at that program?
@curiocityplus8704 If God will ever use you at any time, you have to be very sensitive to the Holy Spirit. What's the point of standing before a congregation when the Holy Spirit will not use you? Whom will you help?
Firstly, The pastor of the church said (on day 3) that he was pressing his phone on the second day to tell ushers to coordinate everywhere. The pastor and Rev Austin admitted there were many distractions that day One perspective is how it affects Arome's anointing, the other is, those kind of behavior are not to be tolerated. Arome was Kano barracks for a while so he probably learnt disciple and how to be coordinated in a public setting, something that everyone in church should replicate. Lastly, the person who had oversight on this matter is the pastor of the church and he wasn't vexed, instead he enforced the no phone rule on the third day.
David Ibiyeomie used to talk about this issue, this is one thing I will not argue with. The pastor may be wrong for leaving his assignment in annoyance, but the people in the congregation are wrong. They are all wrong. 19:34 there's definitely pride there, still mixed in discipline. Infact, he may be taking great pride in his personal level of discipline 🤷🏾♀️
From how I see it, he seems to be taking great care in exhibiting reverence for God and order in the house of God. The pastor didn't leave his assignment in annoyance, he left his assignment in response to dishonor. He LITERALLY BEGGED them to put off their phones and someon's phone rang right after! We can't keep allowing trifling Christians to disregard the place of reverence for God and honor for the vessels he uses to minister to us in the house of God.
The issue is that we all forgot abt Satan's assignments....he can use anyone to disrupt your ministry...wisdom demands we deal directly with the attack not the whole church affected by the foolishness of one.
@@elojoe Well sometimes the whole church has to learn a lesson from the error of one - especially when they fail to call out that person to order. Apostle Arome didn't just ask them to put phones on silent, he lierally begged them earnestly, just for someone to dishonor God and the grace of God on his ministry by allowing his phone to ring RIGHT AFTER. Stop defending disorder in the house of God because we all know that's not something the Lord tolerates.
@@christ-Revealed Right. Forgiveness is not always without chastening though, as we see in Hebrews 12:4-13. If God himself sees the need for discipline even after forgiving, who are we to think differently? Unforgiveness is when you hold a grudge against the wrongdoer, not when you -especially as a father figure - take an action aimed at instilling discipline.
I agree, great video. even Sampson in the bible was told what distraction will wash his anointing (if his hairlocks were cut off) this man is a serious man of God, he knows the strengths and the weakness. the bitter truth is people just want to do things their way. no self-control, no discipline. people have even communized the name of our Saviour in that they use the name of our lord in jokes e.t.c the ringtone was a voice. people should not even use their phones in settings like that - what they will not do at an interview they want to do it in church. I like your videos. saying the truth always

Well I think going forward everyone coming to his programs will turn off or mute their phones. Hopefully that extends to several other programs. Discipline is good as well. He has politely stated phones should be off several times and it didn’t go viral. Feels like this was necessary to send a strong messages to believers on phones during services
The good thing about social media is that 10,20 years from now the great apostle will look back and say oh I'm sorry....they were very wrong to be using phones mid service....but I am sorry I shouldn't have taken that step. Maybe I should have just stood there mute and let that sink in to the audience. Lastly, a man of God is yet a Man even though of God. Enough of the ping pong

I concur with George. If God has sent you on assignment you just need to deliver despite the challenges you meet or face. Our duty as ministers is to teach people how to conduct themselves in an orderly manner in the house of God. Once we have done our part we should leave the rest for God. 2.The other important thing to note is No one received the anointing or Holyspirit because he/worked. The annointing / Holyspirit came on people because they believed. Discipline is necessarily but it doesn't bring the kingdom of God.
May I ask you to show me examples of indisciplined men flowing in the anointing and expressing God's kingdom? I live in Canada and the expectations in most churches here is to switch off your phone or put it in a mode that will not distract people during the service. The man of God coming up to say that God said he was using this to bring back discipline to churches in Canada/ North America is questionable... Sometimes people forget to switch off their phones and its not the end of the world I beg... May God have mercy on us all..
Maybe we need to speak to the kind of leadership in the church in question. People running to social media saying all sorts about the churches abroad when they’re not living abroad should learn how to get their facts right . Am not referring to this blogger., Because I know he tries to balance things when questions are raised. Oyinbo churches are well organized and disciplined. Analysing the events that transpired in that program through the lens of 1 Cor 13 , the facts that can be established are 1. Arome didnt exercise Patience. 2. Arome wasn't kind to the congregation by walking out on them cos I am sure many would have come from long distance to hear him. 3. He displayed Pride/Lordship as against Submission/Servanthood. 4. He dishonored the congregation by walking out on them because of the misdemeanor of 1 person. 5. He was self-seeking by punishing the congregation because someone violated his own/doctrine. Putting phone off or in silent mode is not God's commandment but Arome's doctrine. God's commandments are universal. Many men of God minister even when phone rings in their services. 6. Arome displyed that he was someone who is easily angered. phone ringing the 2nd time was not a sufficient reason for a spiritual man to be triggered.. 7. His behavior confirmed that Arome keeps record of wrongs. 8. He failed to exercise the virtue of Perseverance. In one sentence, I would describe Arome Osayi as someone who practices Religious Love as against the Spiritual Love Apostle Paul talked about in 1 Cor 13 " If I speak in the tongues[a] of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast,[b] but do not have love, I gain nothing. 4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
One anointing, One Holy Ghost! Nothing like diverse anointing! Christianity is becoming a joke in the hands of these agents of confusion. God will crumble their dynasties!
@@christculturenetwork They indeed benefitted. It was a lesson for all. In fact, I for one learnt a lot from the incidence. It should not be an issue unless people just want to be rebellious.
1 Corinthians 4:21 NLT [21] Which do you choose? Should I come with a rod to punish you, or should I come with love and a gentle spirit? My take is that ,I believe the call of the Apostle is to bring as well order and discipline in the church. Phones have become truly a distraction in the body of Christ. I don't think he'll have to leave the pulpit every time someone's phone rang. I think it has to do with what he said "if it happens again I will have to take my leave", so it does happen again what would you expect him to do.
If he ignored the act and proceeded to preach, people would say it was because of money. Now he did the right thing, but people are still complaining. That's bad!

How were Jesus Christ's ministrations and meetings with the multitude? Did he use ushers and choirs or protocol that we see rampant today. The word "chaotic" will fall short in describing His meetings; Jesus Christ never talked about distraction or cut in His anointing! We are Christians, hence Christ is our perfect example! Let God be true and let what man teaches as doctrine outside of God be a lie! This break in anointing flow is a doctrine of man; the work of the flesh! It's simply pride! This is just drama and show that we are calling Christianity
Chaotic?! How? Then how then did the disciples feed people, if it was chaotic as you have described? Habakkuk 2:20 KJV [20] But the LORD is in his holy temple: let all the earth keep silence before him. It's common sense🤨😑
Okay so you didn't read in your bible where Jesus told His disciples to tell the people to seat down on the grass in group of fifties before He did a miracle abi? (Jhn 6:10-11, Matt 14:19, Mark 6:39-40) If there was decorum in Jesus' meeting, then why shouldn't there be in today's assembly.
The fruit of the spirit ... love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. I miss it sometimes especially when I'm tired or stressed...We need to be careful though. Look what God did to Moses for striking the Rock in anger.
This is the most satisfying comment I have stubbled upon. Amen true indeed. I think the church has deviated from the main focus or the center which should be the gospel. But we are now preaching about man of God. My papa is that, this, annoited what what. I love and follow apostle Arome..His personality is not for the faint hearted 😂. There is a video of his return preaching. He spoke in parables with your analytical anointing of gathering facts.i think you can crack the code of the preacher he was talking about in the teaching...the "7 sons of Sceva" who tried to imitate" Paul "from Acts 19 vs 13-38.. i look forward to the analysis...🤭i ve a feeling the preaching will bring out some "responses " from other men of God if they pick the parable 😂...
Comprehensive Analysis..Spot on This BRG 😅 Kudos, we recommend this video... No need to further buttress this!!.....🎉🎉🎉🎉 Good Job Sir 👍 Having the full video gives a fuller picture of the whole thing..... He knows that satan will always exploit your point of weakness especially now that it is public. Hopefully satan does not exploit it in every other meeting because this will happen again 😂, the enemy is tricky!!!! Discipline is lacking in the church true !!! But still No phone rang before from the video you played!! So it was a mistake from different individuals. Now we dont know if they walked out to pick the call !! But pastors shoud just stay on the message and not preach men.... Coming to do damage control is not necessary........ AS LONG AS WE KNOW THEY ARE HUMANS!! THEY ARE NOT PERFECT!!! GOD IS GOD!!! DISTRACTION IS AN INDICATION THAT DEVIL IS INTERESTED IN THE GOAL!!!!
There is difference between demanding respect and earning respect. Pastor(s) should learnt not to demand respect but earn it. Pastor Arome's action wasn't about God but about himself.
Friend, let me tell you what I think, 35:01 you said if it's God that has led you to preach, you should preach, the distraction notwithstanding. You see, distraction sometimes might arise from unbelief: people looking down on the anointing upon you. It was God who sent Jesus to heal the sick in his home town, but the Bible says, "He could there do no mighty works, save he lay his hands on a few folks." The same way the Lord Jesus could not do mighty works in his home town because of unbelief, distraction so to speak; so Arome could not lead that congratulation in prayer also.
So walking out is an act of spiritual pride because because he's attention was called thru the phone ringing twice but he did not listen but rather focused on himself. It's well
When Moses came down from the mount and saw the evil of the people in anger he got the tablet containing the commandments broken. God was not angry with him for his action because he acted in line with God' s feelings over the evil of the people. But when he struck the rock instead of speaking to the rock as God instructed, God judged him. The question is that sincerely speaking, if it were to be Jesus' standing before them, will they allow their phones ring tones to disturbing? Or if you are before the President, will you allow such distractions? Everyone with how they operate with God. This is not pride but decorum.

@ you are right… about the yoke of indiscipline. But it should be noted that Arome Walked out not God and knowing the spirit of the prophet is subject to him and we are not spiritual zombies. He made a decision and has every right to . Like he said it was not Gods will for him to preach. So the ring tone must have been a confirmation I guess.
May God bless you bro for your balanced analysis. If truly the apostle has God's word to share, it is evident that he allowed the devil to shut his mouth! In Matthew 21, Jesus came into the temple and found distractions, rather than leaving, he drove them out! The most embarrassing aspect of this video as you rightly said, is the Apostle declaring that "he has a limitation and that a ringtone would cut off his flow of his anointing..." I pray God help him coz he had just empowered the devil to gather next time at his ministration with legion of ringtones! The true word of God and not protocols brings order!
I completely agree with Apostle Arome about leaving the pulpit. Christians nowadays lack discipline. It's sad to see people filming during worship; there is no regard for the Holy Spirit. It’s disheartening how we behave in church these days. Instead of paying attention to the word being preached or worshipping during worship, we are busy with our phones. Who has bewitched us? SMH. God have mercy.
God is indirectly wanted to speak to Arome about his state of mind and his response to things generally. What happened was not to instil discipline to the church but God wanted to correct him in just measure. Apostle has had his corrections from God after this event. NOTE I will not say it is pride but it is about the state of his mind.
I have a question for the believers, what if there is a soul that would have been saved through the explanation of the bible, that moment, and the soul left remaining the same. I love discipline and orderliness before God, but if God punish us according to our behaviour, or turn his back on us, imagine what the devil will use that one second to do. The true Church of God will continue matching forward and the gate of hell will not prevail.
I suspect a scenario of the phone ringing had also happened in the auditorium even before he went to the podium. If so, then I'm of the opinion that his action was deliberate and premeditated.
Apostle is a human being before he became Apostle. I can never point finger but I would rather pray for God grant him strength to continue with the work of God. He has been a blessing in my life and being influential comes with a lot. We all make mistakes and it's through mistakes we grow and get to know our limitations. He has never lived this life before, he will encounter things like this based on the influence he has.
@@asandasompali5945 I hope you can say same about our politicians too cos they are just human too. No one is pointing any finger or whatever. But when you see bad call it bad and good call it good . Not selective and bias activism.
My brother, this is a very straightforward issue. Whether people miscommunicated or not, as a man sent by God either to preach or just to give a short 10 minutes statement, he shouldn't have walked out of stage. And there is no ways phone rings can disrupt your real spirit of God... What about preachers who evangelise on loud streets? In bars, on buses, etc?
Friends, seriously, if you put your phone on flight mode when you pray in your closet, you will see a difference in your prayer life. George, Your seminary experience is a good example. I appreciate your balanced view. Oftentimes, I am shocked when I call people and they answer the phone saying: “I am praying, let me call you back”. What?? You ain’t serious, mate 😂😂 God loves to be revered. When you give Him that curtesy, that little sacrifice, He shows up. Try it friends, Put your phone on flight mode when praying. Everything else can wait. You will not be disappointed. As for phones ringing in church, even common sense should tell you that your attention is required. Or that you are distracting people. When I go to the library to read, my phone goes on silent because I don’t want to distract others. Church is not a social gathering, it is a place of worship. Come to worship!!!!! Haba, na every thing person go explain? Truly common sense is not common.
That was wrong abegi. No bi prayer they say you should pray? I hate it when phones ring in church,I tell you but I mean it was uncalled for to walk out on the congregation
I am not supporting indiscipline but i remember the story about the friends that opened the rooftop to get their sick friend healed while Jesus was teaching...the flow no cut lolz
This is a very ignorant statement How does a stupendous act of faith that transcends barriers and limitations relate to a blatant show of disregard first for God, and also for the people. Do you ever think about how the people of God, in addition to the man of God could be distracted from their blessings by the incessant ringing of phones?
@@pdamofficial01 are you talking about the God that gives rain to both the good and the wicked or another God sir? I am not understanding what realms he is calming coz if not ego. He should manage the situation well...a comedian will do better, is that his first time preaching?
@@lekanroland9923 that’s beside the point. I only challenged your use of a completely separate and unrelated biblical context to justify your thoughts about the man of God, and that is manupulative
The day people stop ministering with their anointing and start ministering with the Spirit and power of God, the church will be a better place, where egos will have no place.
That's right, and it'll be even better the day the church (congregants) start understanding the principles of honor and order, then the Spirit can move freely without the hindrance of the egos of trivial Christians. A minister BEGS for everyone to put their phones on silent and someone's phone rings RIGHT AFTER his action of begging, and you blame the minister for leaving? I'm sorry but the church is not a club, it's a place of honor for God and the vessels he uses to minister to us.
@gideonob No cellphone can hinder the Holy Spirit. I don't condone ringing of cellphones during services. If the devil was not behind it, I am sure he now knows how to stop that preacher. A pure exhibition of the fruit of the Spirit would have won him the day.
Arome is my favorite living preacher. I drove all the way from Cleveland to NY to see him but that Sunday he wasn’t there but we had a wonderful sermon from Aptl. Gideon. I don’t think it’s rude but that experience could have been submitted to the Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit can decide to pour out the anointing in Apple Factory if he wants. It’s called self also known as the false image of the your spirit. It has to be surrendered. It’s so hard to distinguish the two sometimes. And can happen to all of us. aptl Arome. We love you and God is with you.
Good analysis @Beingrealgeorge. This was sarcasm praying so that people could understand just as Jesus would teach in plain language, then talking about your anointing that is extra biblical. Pure pride This is a case of a new age modern preacher, they are just too many wolves in Nigeria leading people to the wide road. Good analysis looks like an act on the pulpit from all indicators Peace

I was supposed to go somewhere with my husband, so I went to church briefly that morning to prayer and told my husband to come pick me up then we can leave. So my husband was already outside and we just finished prayer, pastor had mounted the pulpit and has started talking, I was going to wait for him to start praying before he preached as he usually does, but then he kept talking and my husband was waiting outside, so I decided to leave while he was still talking, that was how pastor called me to the pulpit and and asked me where I was going, I told him how my husband is outside waiting for me and that was how Pat said if I leave I should drop my positions in church, I simply said ok and I walked out. Later I and the wife talked about it and she told me Pst was trying to discipline workers, so I should disobey my husband because I am a worker in church?????
What's your point? What sort of irresponsible Pastor asks a woman to disobey/disregard her husband because he wants to discipline his workers? Make it make sense! Kingdom matters: Ministry to yourself, ministry to your family (husband and children) and ministry to the church/world. And in that order!!!@@damilaretinubu4177
THIS MAN LITERALLY BEGGED THE CONGREGATION TO PUT OFF THEIR PHONES AND SOMEONE'S PHONE RANG RIGHT AFTER!! I'M NOT SORRY, BUT THE HOUSE OF GOD IS A PLACE OF HONOR AND REVERENCE FOR GOD AND THE VESSELS HE USES TO MINISTER TO US, NOT A CLUB WHERE YOU GET TO DO WHATEVER YOU WANT. WE CAN'T KEEP ALLOWING TRIFLING CHRISTIANS TO DISREGARD THE PLACE OF HONOR IN THE HOUSE OF GOD.
A lecturer at UNN made students rather drop their phones at home instead of being sent out of class when their phones would give that switch off tone as she enters the class. That taught me to drop my phone at home when going to Church.
Spiritual matters thrives under what Mr Osaye..? What happened to tolerance and patience. .. the whole church can suffer because of one person who happened to unintentionally left the phone on ..? Sometimes we like drama unnecessarily
I see this more of discipline, which would come under corrections, rebuke etc as the Scriptures admonishes. What i have realised also is such may be usual with that environment and has been overlooked by it's leaders. The Lord Himself demonstrates how serious and distinct we ought to conduct ourselves in the house in order! The use of physical bibles is a much merit. Yet, still to switch off or mute our phones is a respect not only to the leaders but the LORD. If we have much respect and discipline to our earthly authorities, how more the King of Kings Himself? Because we don't see Him present(Matthew18:20). Another scenario probably appropriate would be to walk out those persons non-violently! On the issue of anointing being cut off, is something that's not untrue when it comes to Spiritual things and the warfare thereof! Today's church leaders have allowed such things all to please the people.
I had something to do at the military office in my country, when u get into the office, they collect your phone and keep it, u don't use your phone while with them.. u just keep it on a table... What more of the house of God... This is sickening
Here's one aspect nobody is considering: When the phones rang, Apostle Arome could have continued preaching, and it would all have ended there, nobody would have heard anything. However, this matter is now trending in the body Christ everywhere. Many people are now conscious of dishonoring God with the use of phone- including myself. Obviously there are people who will remain stubborn and continue to have no regard for God. But a statement has been made already. Many people are bringing themselves to order. As for the people who would have been blessed, they already heard a sermon before Apostle Arome came up, and they still came back the next day to be blessed. "If I am a Father, where's my honour? If I am a Master, where's my honour?". That was sounded loud and clear in the body of Christ. Mission accomplished.
It is not dishonoring the real God if the phone rings except you mean the fake god your pastors worship. You dishonor God by twisting the scriptures and using his name in vain as you just did.
I hardly forget to put my phone on silence. Its almost impossible before i enter church by defalut i try to put myself in order. How come people keep their phones on...? How after church i may not switch it in for sometime. The danger is how phones is taking sacredness among others from our generation.
Exactly the kingdom of darkness might use this against him for him not to spread the gospel, that is what he is suppose to think of,we should not be ignorant of the devices of the devil... Such an open path for the dark forces to use,he is exposing his weakness.. He should have just said please switch off your phones whenever I want to preach....
I think he was very specific from the begining and set expectation. He asked for the phones to be switched off/ mute, explained how the disturbance affects his flow. Nothing wrong with him asking.
People attending church need to have MORE RESPECT WEN COMING INTO THE HOUSE OF GOD.... WHY ALL THIS DISTRACTION???????? Alot of so called Christians allow soo much and too much distractions in the church....
Jesus said when you pray say "Our Dather who art in heaven". Inasmuch as God is our Father, we shoule never forget how larger than us He us, and come before Him with respect, working our salvation with fear and and trembling. After the first phone rang, others should have made sure it did not happen again. Besides he mentioned this was a limitation to him, i dont see the pride
By the way some phone's actually make or play some musical sounds when they are being switched off so the second phone might have been ringing from being switched off, secondly how would have Apostle Reacted if maybe his Spiritual Mentor or any Father of faith were the one with a phone ringing from the clergy row? 🤔
The pastor that invited Arome said, after the offering, we would receive the ministry of Apostle. Which means, he was meant to minister. If he chose to pray thats on him, In conferences, more than one message is expected. This is a conference and has lots of minister. He chose to go through that route of leading prayer and to establish coordinates for ehich he would lead prayers. I believe anyone who attends conferenecs know these things
He was justified.. He didn't walk out! If you can't turn your phone off to listen to the word of God, stay home! Would you have your phone on at an important work meeting? So why OK to do so, in the house of God. Some of these people aren't serious about their walk with God and it shows! 🙄 I have respect for Apostle Arome Asayi; he reveres God and isn't here for "popularity". This is what a fear of God looks like! As Philippians says, we need to Work out our own salvation, with fear and trembling!
The problem we have in Christendom is that anything goes. We can do and undo, we may not even respect the minister and we want God to move in our midst, when we do not even honor his representative. We should honour the Lord in our service. There was a day when my pastor was leading prayers and some people were clapping, you know some people clap when praying. He had to rebuke it sharply he doesn't do this often though. There must definitely be something odd for a minister of God to react in certain ways. Granted they are true ministers of God in the Spirit. God help us. The scriptures say, the Lord walketh in the midst of his temple. Let the people be silent before Him.
Were people silent around Jesus? They even called Him a demon. Did he leave His audience? Did that stop the flow of His anointing? We model Christ, so no excuse. It was wrong, accept. Then we can talk about him apologizing if he sees it that way..🤔. Also, what if this phone rang for some characters to be exposed?
@olusolaemmanuel9753 This is a very good observation and question. You know what came to my mind? The sermon Jesus had with the 5000+, the sermon on the mount, how He preached to multitudes for three days and they were attentive, many of them without food. You should have your answer now, sir. We should forgive the apostle if we disagree with his approach. May God bless His church.
@stephenfadeyi for the fact that he was even invited, I think he should have also honored that. Did God ask him to leave? Well, we all claim we hear God personally. Many of the 5000 you know later left when there wasn't bread the following day because Jesus had told the He is the 'bread' form above. They left, not Jesus. Anyway, I think we can go on and on, but that doesn't take discipline away from the Church. Amen to your prayers 🙏
@olusolaemmanuel9753 So, you've never read in the Bible that Jesus got to the place of His birth (Nazareth) where He could not perform many miracles or do much of the Kingdom works because the people did not believe in Him. Meaning, he was ridiculed. So, He DID NOT do much because of their ridicule and inbelief! Ok, READ Mark 6:1-6 NKJV Then He went out from there and came to His own country, and His disciples followed Him. And when the Sabbath had come, He began to teach in the synagogue. And many hearing Him were astonished, saying, “Where did this Man get these things? And what wisdom is this which is given to Him, that such mighty works are performed by His hands! Is this not the carpenter, the Son of Mary, and brother of James, Joses, Judas, and Simon? And are not His sisters here with us?” So they were offended at Him. But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own country, among his own relatives, and in his own house.” Now He could do no mighty work there, except that He laid His hands on a few sick people and healed them. And He marveled because of their unbelief. Then He went about the villages in a circuit, teaching" Unfortunately for my people, "A prophet is indeed without honor among his own country, among his own relatives and in his own house". Our Lord Jesus COULD NOT do much in th mighty works in their midst because of their disposition. In other words, they cut off the flow of His anointing because "they were offended in Him", how much more Arome?
Spiritual discipline is imperative. Effective ministration requires much discipline. I agree that the timing of this admonition was wrong, but the message was right, in my view.
The anointing for teaching was cut ( based on what he was about to do ) … as for prayer ? I don’t know anyone too well and I don’t have the will to search people in the spirit. I have my audience to pray for most importantly in the best way I can.
He just killed the good teaching the members had from the first speaker. He messed up the atmosphere of the service. In my opinion that he acted immature.
Well, I can't be a disciple under Arome 😂. We are humans. Jesus drove out those doing transactions in the temple, which is an intentional act. But a phone ringing might be unintentional; an usher could simply collect that phone. Walking away is a bad connotation. If Jesus had walked away on us for our imperfections, where would we be? The only place where scripture supports walking away is when the gospel is rejected, a sign of judgement. The spirit of a prophet is subject to the prophet. Personally, I think it's a personality issue in pst Osai. When some people are talking, they don't like distraction. And definitely, it would affect his flow.
That is my opinion too. Regardless of all the defense he gets, I hope he himself, in the corner of his home, sees something that God is probably trying to teach him about. I strongly believe it's a personality thing and hopefully, he sees that he might need to work on it. He was upset and he walked out, denying others the chance to hear what God had for them in that moment. Like you said, he could have asked the person to walk out and handle their phones or call an usher to please handle it or even pause his preaching (in protest) that he would wait till the person does the needful. Walking out is too controversial, as he must now have seen. In the end, men of God (and all Christians are) are first and foremost Men! We all have things we are working on in our lives.
@MidasTouch-b2y there is no indiscipline beyond walking away from the alter while the sheep are seated. Check & see how churches implement discipline in such regards. This is a replica of what happened between Moses & Israelite, those Moses termed as stiff-necked, yet God punished the holier than thou Moses, and He still gave the sheep water, even in error because God places high premium on the sheep even if they were indiscipline. It's sad to see some strange things happening, yet we justify these things.
Now I understand, Apst was not going to preach, he was going to pray and move in the prophetic office which requires high level of sensitivity and slight distraction can affect your connection Please let’s not cast stone on him the man of God is indeed a man of the Spirit I love you Apst Arome you are a blessing
In my opinion the persons phone that rang should be asked to excuse the other members, that is disciplinary example to others, not to walk away from people that came to hear the word of God. So because of one person, the other people life that we’re supposed to be touch or changed was cut off???? Just asking

You're not wrong sir
God bless you.
Ok...go and do that in shrine.
I agree with you that he was annoyed, and of course, how would the anointing flow when the vessel is annoyed?
I feel we should help our ministers not to be distracted and so they can minister to us without fear.
He is human, so let's forgive him if we do not get it from his perspective.
That's a lack of emotional intelligence. I stand for discipline but I can spot arrogance from a mile. Angered pastor.
Thank you

This is the most balanced and well researched commentary. More grace George.
Firstly,
The pastor of the church said (on day 3) that he was pressing his phone on the second day to tell ushers to coordinate everywhere.
The pastor and Rev Austin admitted there were many distractions that day
One perspective is how it affects Arome's anointing, the other is, those kind of behavior are not to be tolerated.
*Lots of typographical errors, typed this while multitasking
So you need to live in a police barracks to learn discipline?
No man has anointing we are just the carrier of His anointing..... And we don't decide who to minister it to but him ....

Real George..... God bless you
David Ibiyeomie used to talk about this issue, this is one thing I will not argue with.
@@gideonob 70 times 7 right?
@@christ-Revealed Right. Forgiveness is not always without chastening though, as we see in Hebrews 12:4-13.
Woo great one.
May I ask you to show me examples of indisciplined men flowing in the anointing and expressing God's kingdom? Read Paul's letters and you will notice most of his success in ministry was because he had applied personal strict discipline. By the way Jesus would have just taught to the traders the temple, after all He was God, but hey, that "guy was just full of Himself and ANGRY, He used a whip instead! Huh. God can teach in whichever way He chooses. What makes you think this was not a lesson? See how the whole world is talking about reverence & discipline in the Church Congregations.

Its really disrespectful when in a congregation of people, you let your phone ring out loud. You are not the only one there. Whether he walked out or not, its highly disrespectful. I agree with Apostle Arome, as a Pastor even before I was ordained as a minister, when teaching in Church, I loose my flow if there is frequent movements, chats etc. Growing up we had emphasis on this scripture in church Hab 2:20 But the LORD is in his holy temple: let all earth keep silence before Him❤
I live in Canada and the expectations in most churches here is to switch off your phone or put it in a mode that will not distract people during the service.
One thing i pick from your post is giving detailed of an event and not like other bloggers that will cut the part that ppl like to drag traffic to their page. Thanks for that
Analysing the events that transpired in that program through the lens of 1 Cor 13 , the facts that can be established are

There is difference between demanding respect and earning respect. Pastor(s) should learnt not to demand respect but earn it. Pastor Arome's action wasn't about God but about himself.

His anointing is so weak 😊 His emotions and pride are Bigger than the anointing 😢
And your own is very strong
Friend, let me tell you what I think, 35:01 you said if it's God that has led you to preach, you should preach, the distraction notwithstanding.
You see, distraction sometimes might arise from unbelief: people looking down on the anointing upon you. It was God who sent Jesus to heal the sick in his home town, but the Bible says, "He could there do no mighty works, save he lay his hands on a few folks."
The same way the Lord Jesus could not do mighty works in his home town because of unbelief, distraction so to speak; so Arome could not lead that congratulation in prayer also.
What you said about the people who posted this online, probably some of his members... I think the obsession and love for social media has really made many of us belivers insensitive to a whole lot

4) Do you determine the kind of discipline you receive for your indiscipline? Do you also determine when and how you receive discipline?
5) Do you know of the message he needed to pass across was exactly what he did?
6) Just because you have read through the Bible and can argue on social media doesn't mean your consensus by popular vote is right as according to God.

Oga, he didn't empower any devil. We just love nonsense and want to do things our way. Repent
Its very sad. In most cases you see people on Facebook or whatsup during services
God is indirectly wanted to speak to Arome about his state of mind and his response to things generally.
What happened was not to instil discipline to the church but God wanted to correct him in just measure.
Apostle has had his corrections from God after this event.
NOTE
I will not say it is pride but it is about the state of his mind.

How does this relate?
This is a very ignorant statement
How does a stupendous act of faith that transcends barriers and limitations relate to a blatant show of disregard first for God, and also for the people.
You couldn't have said it an better... A ring tone disturbing annoiting...? Wait a minute sir... egoistic behavior all-round
AMEN 🙏🏽! You nailed it.
@@Lerato86This occurrence has everything to do with discipline in the house of God and very little to do with the preacher's personal disposition.
Pure pride
This is a case of a new age modern preacher, they are just too many wolves in Nigeria leading people to the wide road.
Good analysis looks like an act on the pulpit from all indicators

George, you gave a valid point. If satan know that is his weakness, if call no come in sef, Alarm go ring. Northern American church indeed. Na blacks only Northern American church be that. If na mixed, he no for do wetin he do.
The phone ringing is not justified, but ... What would Jesus do?
When these people are in a job interview or in a meeting with their workplace bosses, do they forget to turn off their phones. Why do we do what is right in the workplace, and we disobey God. It's because the church is not our employer, that is why we can behave any how
You know Nigerians do not know that abroad the Holy Spirit does not lead you anyhow to extend time. You’re right it might be people’s alarm. Nigerian pastors go humble by force
No
There is wisdom to this things, you could have sat at the back to the church, which would have made it easy to leave the church.
@ I was not in front either
Sensitive and difficult matter. Follow the spirit of God and try as much as possible not to equally disrespect any party
Good analysis George. I support discipline in church.
Here's one aspect nobody is considering:
When the phones rang, Apostle Arome could have continued preaching, and it would all have ended there, nobody would have heard anything.
People need to reverence God for who He really is, we stop taking God's grace and God's anointing for granted.
Whose anointing was broken..God's anointing or the pastors anointing...
The pastor that invited Arome said, after the offering, we would receive the ministry of Apostle. Which means, he was meant to minister. If he chose to pray thats on him,
In conferences, more than one message is expected.
As Philippians says, we need to Work out our own salvation, with fear and trembling!
was it the phone of the church that rang or one person
Ok, READ
Mark 6:1-6 NKJV
Then He went out from there and came to His own country, and His disciples followed Him. Then He went about the villages in a circuit, teaching"
Unfortunately for my people, "A prophet is indeed without honor among his own country, among his own relatives and in his own house".
Our Lord Jesus COULD NOT do much in th mighty works in their midst because of their disposition. In other words, they cut off the flow of His anointing because "they were offended in Him", how much more Arome?
Who told you the 5000 were making noise and not paying attention without distractions @@stephenfadeyi
Spiritual discipline is imperative. Effective ministration requires much discipline. I agree that the timing of this admonition was wrong, but the message was right, in my view.
BRG, listen to Arome’s spirit! What do you hear? Is there an anointing for prayer?
The anointing for teaching was cut ( based on what he was about to do ) … as for prayer ? I don’t know anyone too well and I don’t have the will to search people in the spirit. I have my audience to pray for most importantly in the best way I can.
@@BeingRealGeorge Read and study your Bible. By their fruits, you shall know them.
No issues.
Find someone that can allow your indiscipline and see how far you'll go.
Now I understand, Apst was not going to preach, he was going to pray and move in the prophetic office which requires high level of sensitivity and slight distraction can affect your connection
Please let’s not cast stone on him the man of God is indeed a man of the Spirit
I love you Apst Arome you are a blessing
In my opinion the persons phone that rang should be asked to excuse the other members, that is disciplinary example to others, not to walk away from people that came to hear the word of God. So because of one person, the other people life that we’re supposed to be touch or changed was cut off???? Just asking
He was just supposed to lead prayers o,not to preach. He wanted to show himself and waste people's time.
Anointing to pray will be cut off. Oya naa
