I know you all just post the solos, but this performance is simple amazing to me. One of those formative moments in my love for the horn and classical music. Wonderful.
Stransky makes it look soooo easy - and it's not a bit. O a double horn it takes a fair bit of practice, on a single F Wienerhorn it takes far far more
it definitely is a bit sharp on the second time, idk about the first tho. if it is flat, which again, can't really tell, it's probably only 5 cents at most
@@ibizakingyou don't need to be better than the performer to be a critic. or else all the best musicians would be critics. i get that sometimes you need to be at the level of the performer in order to understand what they're doing, but this is not one of those cases. intonation is something a baby born with perfect pitch can recognize. and yet, a baby lacks the motor skills or years of practice/experience to be able to perform this near the level of this hornist
This is the best rendition of this excerpt that I have ever heard and on a Vienna horn... This guy is amazing.

Fantástico 💪👏📯
Our Double Horns are highly over-rated😢
schöner Ton.

In my opinion the lowest note is a tiny bit flat the first call and a tiny bit sharp the second... Am I wrong?
upload if you can do better.

This is absolutely my point. Musicianship here is stellar, but we are here to comment and compare stellar performances objectively if we can...
