I’m starting my medical billing & coding classes November 15th, & I’ve been studying /watching all your videos as much as I can , gives me more insight on what to expect, thank you ! 😊
I love the videos very helpful and very informative. Question on the is one though just to clarify, was there a typo? On the last question it's supposed to be "Q04.5" not "Q05.4", correct?
Victoria, will you help me clarify one of your examples, please? It's the last one on megalencephaly. The ICD-10 code said Q04.5 in the index and it's verified in the tabular list. You have Q05.4 which is unspecified spina bifida with hydrocephalus. Are your numbers switched or am I doing something wrong? I always pause the video and get my answer before you go over the scenario, but I looked that up megalencephaly to get my answer. When it wasn't an option on your list, I looked up the CPT code. I'm guessing it's a typo but I would greatly appreciate your help if I am mixed up. Thank you!!!!
@@ContempoCoding I think the last answer is wrong. If you look in the Alphabetical Index of the ICD-10 code book, you will see bold entry for Megalocephus, with the word "megalocephaly" right by it and it will refer you do code Q75.3. There is also a very similar spelled word called "megalencephy" which is Q04.5. Also the code Q05.4 is for Spinal Bifida and that term is not used in this example.
I have question for the code 75870 venography superior sagittal sinus radiological supervision and interpretation . should we put modifier 26 with code or not .
Thank you for creating these helpful videos. I am currently an X-ray/CT Tech looking into learning coding. I am leaning toward specializing in Radiology since that’s what I have 7 years experience in but is there a more lucrative specialty or a specialty where you have more room to grow?
CT tech here, question, some facilities have a dedicated chest abdomen pelvis order, some don't, it's very convenient on the Dr/tech side, specifically in trauma, but there isn't a CPT for that, how do they bill that legally, this similar to how some facilities have an order of a combined CTA head and neck
I know this is way late and hopefully you will see this comment. On question 2 how do you know tibia and fibula is lower leg vs the ankle/foot. Or would that be in the description the ankle/foot ?
I'm experiencing some confusion when it comes to billing xrays for hips and knees. Do you have any videos you can point me to where you go over this? 🤞
. I notified a big hospital in Maryland and ask the cost of MRI of right shoulder and they sent me a code , how do I know what the cost is for that code
@@ContempoCoding can you make video about coding practice session like total 150questions . Or You can divide 3 sessions, per session 50 questions. It’ll help us our future exams Mam. Please do the needful
On the last question...why is the ICD 10 code for megalencephaly Q05.4? That code is unspecified spina bifida with hydrocephalus. However, Q04.5 is megalencephaly. What am I missing?
I had a question that I can't seem to find the answer to anywhere. I am 4 weeks from completing my Associates in Medical Billing & Coding and I was curious which computer is better for coding from home. Mac or Windows ? I prefer Mac and wasn't sure if it was compatible with Athenahealth, Cerner, or any other EHR? What is your experience?
Hi Ashley, I am a new coder (radiology) . I work from home 3 days per week ! I have a Mac desktop and it was not connecting well to my remote tower ! I got fed up and bought myself an HP windows desktop and its like am sitting in my office instead am sitting at home lol ! Hope this helps
Your teaching me more than my 🧑🏫

I love your method! It seems so much faster.
I'm currently in school for Medical Billing and Coding and your video is very helpful. Thank you 😊, please share more videos 🤗

Love your videos, so helpful!

Typo.
Me too... thanks for asking this question!
Thanks for clarifying. I was wondering if it was just my eyes playing tricks on me. :)

Last answer code was transposed - Q04.5 vs. answers a. and b. Q05.4
Good class
Thanks, Janeen!
Do you have videos for path/lab and medicine? I need please!

how to code additional or pre existing findings on a chest x-ray, do you code the pre-existing diagnosis and additional findings?
Do you have a video for the medicine section and pathology/laboratory sections?
Not yet.
Do you have a more detailed video on these sections other than just review???

Lovely.
Thank you, Leslyn!
Last question ICD code is flipped around FYI :)
I had it paused trying to figure it out and finally gave up and realized what happened when I checked the index lol

In the video description there a note that the numbers were transposed.
