St. Mary's Basilica Krakow, Poland | Things To See In Krakow

Take a look inside St Mary's Church in Krakow, Poland, one of Poland's most recognizable gothic churches. It should be on your list of one of the top things to see in Krakow. In the late XV century, Veit Stoss (Wit Stwosz) created the alter, a real medieval art masterpiece. In 2014 a restoration was started to restore the altar to its former magnificence. In February 2021, after over six years of work, the project was finally completed.
The first notes about the Saint Mary's Church are from twelve hundred, but today we can find construction from thirteen hundred typical for the gothic style built of bricks with some stones and typical for the time for the period.
Very tall and smooth construction with two towers. One is a bell tower and the second an alarm tower with a trumpeter sitting on the top playing the bugle every full hour.
