I have the same on left foot, I have been complaining of pain since 2017 in left foot, was told it peroneal tendonitis. 2023 finally told I had os trigonum offered cortisone injection which worked temporarily. It causes SI back pain, abnormal gait, bouts of unable to weight bare. Constantly Swollen(not as bad as yours). Peroneal pain, throbbing. Unable to sleep with pain at times. Having another MRI soon hopefully they will surgically remove. So happy u don't have pain but your residule symptoms 😮 dont sound too good. Thanks for this video very informative
Thank you for the video! I have similar symptoms, although less swelling, though significant, and yes extremely painful. I started an exercise regime in a pool because I couldn't take weight bearing, use orthotics for the flat foot, and surprisingly found 20 minutes in the sun for my ankle to be of significant help (I live in the tropics). I don't have gout. Your video, using IR therapy at the area you show the Os Trigonum (instead of on top of the ankle), massage and manual movementnt of the non moving big toe have been of great help! Thankyou. I'm 72, it's great to get my mobility back!
Hey, I constantly watch this video as I am struggling with OS Trigonum syndrome in my left foot. I really appreciate your video. I am getting this surgically removed in a month as I have been in chronic pain for the last 6 months after an injury. I too had it nothing even close to how sever yours was. I am so sorry you had to go through this. I did have a question about this syndrome as you seem to know about it much more than most doctors I've seen. I was wondering if Os Trigonum syndrome affects the bottom of the foot as well as the metatarsals. I experience chronic pain on the left side of my foot all the time where it feels like my metatarsals are tender and stuck. It almost feels broken. Does surgery typically relieve these symptoms? I was just wondering if you had any information if Os Trigonum syndrome typically creates pain there. I am still trying to understand more about the pain I experience as most doctors can't seem to figure it out. Thank you
This is SO well done and informative, thank you! Gout is on soooo many DDx on internal med rotations, and sometimes with very non-gout presentations…so this will be on the DDx in those cases now 😅
Any update on your other side? Did you leave it alone or have it removed. 2 weeks post left side surgery, my right is flaring up. I'm doing everything the Dr and PTs tell me to, and the "good" side now looks worse than the one that just came out of surgery. Any insights?
