  • Thanks for tuning in again, guys. In this video, we go over two different kinds of slices in tennis and when to use them. People often think of the slice as a defensive shot, but depending on your court position, you can use the slice offensively in order to keep your opponent off-balance and draw a softer ball from them. Today, I'll explain how to execute this.

    Dan Evans might have perfected his slice technique training with Fed for two weeks. Also the forehand slice is so under utilized on the ATP and it's so effective if you can knife that. I personally love to use it as well as the back hand knifing slice. It's so difficult on topspin baseliners. Most of them get so frustrated. I often wonder why Fed doesn't use the forehand slice much especially playing someone like Thiem who loves to pound that topspin back at you. Thanks for the video.
