I think Capcom should remake “Resident Evil 3 remake”.

I think they should DLC it and REMAKE THAT SEXY INTRO VIDEO!!!!
5:35 - There is actually a lot of things that they can do now with the RE Engine compared to 1996 or 2002 versions of the game:
- They can do dynamic levels with destructible items
- Fully realtime game world with no loading pauses
- Much more detailed damage on enemies and lots of different RNG-elements with them (like zombie health status changing depending their exposure time for the T-Virus)
- Completely different kind of scenes and scares due different camera angle (OTS or 1st person)
- Much more darker and mature overall tone and some genuine expressions from the motion capture actors/VA
- Use flashlight as major element in navigation around the dark mansion
- Expand the mansion even more, include things like the dog kennels that you mentioned, from the Keeper's Diary (could also include storages for Hunters and Chimeras too)
- Make Jill's and Chris' scenarios way more different that we've had so far (+ make both have same amount of item slots finally!)
- Tie the story properly to the rest of the series and show elements of it that were written in but never shown before
- Merge Zero's content into it, and perhaps make DLC's to follow Bravo Team's events as the first contact with the mansion and Wesker's events during the outbreak prior that
- Mix visual elements from both versions, so that we would have the weirdly colourful dollhouse elements of RE1 1996 and the more classic haunted house mansion style of RE1 2002.

Throw in expanded lore on the spencer family (cmon hes a british aristocrat,ofc hed have a huge a$$ family !) Esp whn one of his "resistance" lines is and i quote : "my kind controls this world !" Like sucha simple line yet makes ur mind wonder about this man,and ofc no cut enemies,esp spiders/crows

Me personally, I'd tweak some of the RE1 canon, understanding of course it impacts other games, movies etc. But it's a chance to clean up the story from the beginning. I'd remove "1998" so you didn't have to naturally age the characters. Instead of being a coward, Brad would be the "cavalry" that shows up later to find them. Rebecca would secretly be allied with Wesker. I'd have Chris/Jill fight Wesker in the lab area; Wesker wouldn't die (remove the Wesker super powers), but would release Tyrant and then flee. No Tyrant fight in that area: Mr X - type stalker scenario until they get to the surface, thinking they escaped him and then they would fight. Love the games, it's just my take.
Need more science and more labs. More journals, and more story as to why there are so many different labs.

I know it got bad reviews, but I'm playing the PS1 version of Resident Evil 1 again for the first time in a long time on my unmodified PS1 Mini Classic console and loving it.
It makes sense from a story aspect, people that may have not played the original or re remake. As in the re5 dlc they chase after Spencer, if the didn’t play the prior games the whole story wouldn’t make sense. Capcom love money too much to miss out on that.

I'm hoping capcom can just more focus on RE0 & Code Veronica X , and add on more latest elements dlc for RE3 ( 2020 ) but always frustrating for no any update news !!!!

I’d buy it 😅 the first Resident Evil game back on the old PlayStation is one of my favourite games. It’d be nice to have Code Veronica. Also…living in hope for Dino Crisis 😪

Don’t think we need an RE remake again- but hell! I’ll definitely take one 👍🏻. Would love a long prologue of the game ie Chris and Jill at RPD and zombies eating groups of about 10 people. Either way can’t wait! 👍🏻
It'll be cool to see it run the RE engine.
1. I'd like a canon ending where all the surviving STARS members are on the helicopter at the end.
2. More body cam footage of the deceased members, final moments or moments that play up the traitor. I'd change the save room that's a storage closet into a security room.
3. Jill/Chris aren't locked away the entire time, I'd like for at least both of them to be roaming the mansion together and be captured later on. My preference is neither get caught and it's the opposite character's support character that gets caught Rebecca/Barry.
4. No skippable bosses. I don't mean some type of thing you can do to harm/defeat bosses easier, I mean I don't want to be able to go in an area where a boss is, pickup whatever item I need and leave.
5. Balance the players, there should be no easy mode for a character. Give the same amount of inventory space, damage taken is the same, outside of lockpick/lighter and maybe different weapons, Chris and Jill should fundamentally be the same.
6. RE0 as dlc. I know some fans don't like this but RE0 isn't that important to the overall story. Besides Marcus being the one that released the virus in the mansion, what else is important? I'd rather them bypass 0 so we can get to CV.
7. Bravo team extra modes. Similar to RE2R I think it would be dope to actually play as Bravo team members in certain scenarios. I'd also add Wesker escaping the mansion as well like the Wii RE game.
8. Lore. It doesn't have to be shoved in our faces but maybe we find the African flower in the lab or even a drawing or just the mention of it, connection to Miranda and other little pieces that help tie this world together.
9. Expand the mansion. New areas to explore for old fans. Also making the mansion creepier, certain areas requiring a flashlight to navigate.
10. No RE3R/4R mechanics, keep it like RE2R. I don't want to be able to dodge or parry, stealth nothing. I want them to be terrified of the situation they're in that all the training they have means nothing.
I wonder if they'll do resi 1 & 0 mixed into one full package. That would be a cool way to celebrate its 30th anniversary

To answer the topic question. Yes another remake of Resident Evil 1 could be nice for 2 reasons.
1. This could allow them to make this new remake in VR I would really like to play the Spencer Mansion in full VR it would be phenomenal.
2. I would love to see the new Spencer Mansion resemble the one from the 1996 original in similar lighting and colors but in full RE Engine detail.
Sad that the films have not stepped up. I wished Resident Evil will get a hollywood boost on MCU level. The team behind the SAW series would be a great choice. I was really hoping that they would make a post credit scene of Hunk escaping Raccoon city, but make the whole scene gut wrenchingly intense that viewers would be on the edge of their seats. Hunk would be trying to escape the main threat of Mr X but the other bio weapons would be in the way (zombies, lickers, dogs etc) Viewers would be like "how the hell did he get out of all that?'

Having an RE1 2nd Remake is a double edge sword for me.
I can see it looking really cool in 3D with the RE Engine with some new cool gameplay mechanic ideas and extra story ideas.
I can also see the downside of RE1 2nd Remake getting the rushed RE3 Remake treatment. It's cool to get some new content but how much of the original content could be cut? It leaves me more concerned than hyped.
They have chosen to change so much details in the re2r re3r and re4r. There no way they wouldn't change a lot and add so much more.
Wished they could do a Resident Evil hame based on characters like H.U.N.K.
If it does actually release, I'l give it a year or so for a full digestion from players.
They really are coming up with every possible excuse to not remake CV and Outbreak 😂
Also, good point on Umbrella Chronicles effectvely being another RE1 remake-remake. Also, interesting ideas with the Wesker and RE0 tie-ins. There is not much business sense in reamking RE1 again, for third/forth time unless it comes with a massive set of bells and whistles.

If the second remake of Resident Evil 1 is actually in development , then maybe perhaps would be a good idea to replace the corny campy dialogues with morbid humors. It just fits with horror more, since both ( dark humor and horror ) dealt with morbid topics.

RE 1 remake from 2002 gamecube has been the Best Remake ever made in 20 years, Only a few remakes have come close like Metroid Zero Mission. I don't count Dead Space because it was super faithful and didn't add enough and again It toned down stuff like animation, the game is easier so I don{t count it.
And they are saying they are going to REMAKE the 1996 Original, so yeah they are fucking us up
Plus I hated Jill in re 3 remake. Worst remake and trash game

I agree Resident Evil 3 remake was not good. They made Jill kind of annoying.

Things they could add,
1/ Co Op play Jill and Chris at the same time, while separating to achieve certain goals.
2/ The option to play in 3 different camera positions.
Fixed, 1st Person, 3rd Person over the shoulder.
3/ Have the game start with Bravo Team
4/ Introduce Mercenary Mode
GAWD I wish CAPCOM remade all over RE3 DEMAKE. Hated fake Jill Valentine with her completely unlikable teenager attitude or the cut content. I DO NOT want a RE1 RE-REMAKE. Watch they'll just have the mansion and cut out the Courtyard, the Guardhouse, the Aquarium and the caves. The Lab will be underdeveloped located under the mansion........
