Thank you so much for watching and for this tip! That scent is on my want list! If you haven’t tried their White Russian (not banana but still fab), it’s delicious!
Thank you for your kind post! I love both of those scents and think the Vanille Banane smells like banana ice cream or milkshake. Let me know what you think of it and please stay in touch!
Aw, thanks for taking the time to watch and to share your kind words. Since I published this video I found a few wonderful, banana prominent perfumes from Haus of Gloi… Banana J. Foster Cake, Hummingbird, etc. Really good stuff!
I also love banana perfume, just bought one a week ago. I also love the melon kinda of perfume. Grateful that I found this vid. So I'm not the only one who loves banana.
Hi there! I was super surprised to learn through this video that there is a group of us who really, really love banana in fragrances! Do you have a favorite?
P.S. You asked at end about other tropical fruit faves people might have . . . I really like the beachy cheapie Fcuk Friction with thoroughly blended creamy coconut and indistinct tropical fruit elements. It's kind of pina colada-like, but gently so. No sharpness of natural pineapple; no bubblegum or insulin shock with this easygoing lactonic number. With its non-fruity but very light and beachy vibe, my bottle of crazy sale-priced Comptoir Sud Pacifique Eau des Lagons was a welcome surprise this last 'firing clay in the Phillipines' summer. With cactus and salt in the topnotes, it really comes off smelling like a cotton shirt suffused with dried clean sweat, ocean water, and a bit of spilled tequila, after the wearer has been sailing in the sun all afternoon. There's also some kind of an intriguing faint whiff of something gummy and far-off . . . like a cross between marmite and molasses?? . . . in the drydown. Laidback, pleasant, understated, yet not boring at all -- unlike anything else I've smelled.
Enid F. Patternson - wait, how literal is this “firing clay in the Philippines” mention? More! I have been meaning to try more by Sud Pacifique and this sounds offbeat in the best of ways! I often shy away from scents that are at all “aquatic” because for many perfumers the interpretation is that pseudo-clean-water-dryer-sheet interpretation I hate (I said it) but when people actually do it right (eg it smells beautiful and/or funky like water/sea/air), I am so excited!!
How wild is that!? I’d love to try that, too. Thanks for the intel. Have you heard about Lush’s Tank Battle? Supposed to be a combo of char/industry/the street + bubblegum! :)
Savor Salvage Scent Unfortunately I haven’t had the pleasure. Next time I’m in the vicinity of a Lush store I’m going to get my nose on it. It sounds equality as mental! 🙌
(Aside: That lip-decor . . . _WOW_ ! :-D) Before this, I was hard-pressed to name any banana-scented toiletries save Sira des Indes, so this is cool. Great idea! Thanks again for what you share. Your pronunciation of Fructis was right. :-) (Btw, I have in mind to do a video one day demonstrating correct pronunciation of key French perfumery terms to help out English-speaking perfume nerd presenters who are always wondering what letters are supposed to be silent, etc.) 'Jze-anh Pah-too See-rah deyz Eih-nd' = my best attempt at representing correct pronunciation of Jean Patou Sira des Indes. :-)
Isn't banana so great? I tried Sira des Indes because I was told it was similar to the discontinued Amaranthine by Penhaligon. The Patou is comparable and I ordered the body wash. Would you ever consider doing a video about scents you don't necessarily want to spray on but would enjoy in the bath or shower?
egemini618 hi, friend!! Ooooh... body wash? Bet that is nice in a shower/bath environment! Hmnn... I like your idea but let me make sure I fully understand it. So, scents orbited I would like in bath products but not necessarily in perfumes? Something that first comes to mind is the “spring green” bath gel by Vitabath. So green it would just about knock you off your feet, but great as a shower wake-up. But maybe too much as perfume. Am I on the right path? Best to you!
@@savorsalvagescent2300 I mean actual perfumes that you wouldn't necessarily want to wear as SOTD but would be amazing to shower with. ck One comes to mind. I don't need to EVER wear this again (gen xer here) but the shower gel is just what the doctor ordered!
egemini618 I’ll be honest. I can’t think of one. For me, if I don’t love the scent, I’m likely not using it in any way. I’m fascinated by the concept, though!!
OMG- I am about to binge your content! Thanks for sharing your fave banana scented finds. ♥️

I have a banana split perfume oil from coco and rose 🍌🩷🤍🤎🍒🍨☁️
I’m really interested to try Blackbirds Y-06S. Apparently it’s meant to smell like bananas and electronics!
