Good night weather Jamaica, we had heavy down pour today in the Kingston 6 area. I pray for those who were affected by Rafael a few days ago. I hope they get help from neighbors, etc. Have your a bless and restful night.
I really wonder about that tropical wave impacting the Lesser Antilles. It looks like a solid tropical storm. I just looked at the upper level wind flow on the GFS model and windshear above that tropical is not very strong. There is actually an upper level high pressure circulation/ANTICYCLONE forming above that wave which explains why it has such an INCREDIBLE amount of DEEP CONVECTION.
