Ayeee welcome back, glad to see you're back with this special song and moment, they recently announced new single with official lyrics video called Monochrome coming this 18/11, you still got "Divine Attack - Shingeki" to watch but hopefully you'll get there too. This song wasn't from their latest 3rd album, is the last song from 2nd album and the beautiful shots are from Yokohama Arena 2015 part of the Trilogy Of 2015, it was a live premiere and later it was released as an official MV with lyrics translated, is the Japanese/English version, the full English version is during others live performances like live at Tokyo Dome 2016. There's another recent version released last year right before the hiatus called "The One - Stairway To Living Legend" which is purely ballad, similar to Akatsuki Unfinished but isn't called like that, of course is beautiful to watch coz it was a way to say thanks to all of us for being with them fighting and closing the Metal Resistance chapter. See you next time beautiful megitsune and don't forget... _We Are The One_ _Forever_ 🦊🤘❤️
You know.. I have enjoyed a few of your reactions now, and you seem to really have a fantastic knowledge of music and performance. You interpret the things you see with a lot of insight, but I can also see you putting up a couple of pony tails and performing next to the girls! You seem so energetic and young yourself!! Keep doing what you are doing with the same passion you have now and there is nothing you could not do! Cheers! .... when you said.. 'they are performing in one spot - 6:10'.. i laughed a bit.. knowing the journey they take over the crowd after you said that.
Nice reaction, thanks and welcome back! Definitely, they aren't afraid of heights. Yui and Moa told that they really wanted to wave to the crowd but they couldn't break their character and that was the most difficult thing. Moa added that she didn't want to look at the audience much because she would probably cry and she didn't want her tears to fall on them. And well, about safety, they had some railings and a life line (probably wearing climbing harnesses). Even Su's mic had a wristband safety cord. Plus the pyramid was suspended from a crane operated by 9 people on the floor to secure it. Safety first. I guess they learned the lesson from Budokan 2014. Time signature changes are one of the main features of progressive rock/metal. "The ONE" is considered a sort of spinoff from "Tales of the Destinies" which is a prog metal masterpiece which I highly recommend. Until next time
Babymetal no fear of heights. For another concert they performed songs on top of the stage rigging where they had platforms for them. They did that just so the fans in the upper deck could have a better view of them. The nosebleed section got a special treat. For the Legend M concert for Moa's 20th birthday. Moa came to the stage from the back of the upper deck. Floating down with the Babymetal logo like a pair of wings. There seems to be next to no footage of that. IMO everyone was just in awe of what they were watching they didn't film it. I think if you get the blueray of that concert it might have it included. But I've never seen it on you tube. Moa is a special kawaii monster angel of love. Now you have to watch the Stairway to living legend version. New song soon and every day we move closer to their live performance in January.
welcome back ! 🙂 this song is about us and for us, The One is: Babymetal and their fans all together. The girls said they want to be closer to their fans and this was the result. Suzuka when she was a kid ones went on a roller coaster and it scared her so much for a while she didn't even want to take the evaluator anymore. Then a couple of years later they are flying over the crowd. Moa said in an interview she didn't want to look down, because she thought she would start waving and cry and have her tears drop on their fans. The song has multiple versions, the: a mixed English and Japanese version, the one you watched. A full English version, also often performed in Japan (maybe to kind of show off their English to the Japanese people. :-) ). An unfinished version and a mixed unfinished/regular version (also in English and mixed Japanese/English). After Babymetal stopped performing live because of covid and went on a 'hiatus' for creating the new album they released that one video: BABYMETAL 【THE ONE - STAIRWAY TO LIVING LEGEND】. That's also a The One unfinished version.
Surprisingly, the big stages are build only for big shows and only used ones ! They are meant to be a one time experience (exceptions: some shows have 2 days). But almost all of them were in Japan. Only other big shows performances: in the UK (Wembley Arena) in 2016 and and the US (The Forum, near LA) in 2019. Those shows were also the album release shows, first show when the album is released (2nd and 3rd album). They have a 4th album going to be release early next year.
Welcome back, great reaction. You have already been told which album this was on and when this performance was. This was the official video, so the audio was from the album - specifically the Japanese domestic version, so it was the half and half English/Japanese version. The international release had the full English version. They have switched it up as well, there is an "unfinished" version (basically acoustic, just vocals and piano ... it is beautiful) and in most live shows when they play it they will start with the "unfinished" version but half way through the Kami Band and Moametal will join in to finish with the full version. There is some history and meaning in this song too. As they toured the world they realised their foreign fans must have been studying and learning Japanese to sing along with them. As a mark of their love and respect they decided they must reciprocate and return the compliment by learning a song completely in English. 'The One' is that song - it is dedicated to the fans (who they also named The One of course) and is effectively their love letter to the fans.
Glad to see you back to BabyMetal! :D Moa said that the most difficult thing was to not starting to wave to everyone in the audience :) When they go overseas they rarely do arena shows, so they don't bring everything with them! They only did Wembley and L.A. Forum out of Japan!
So nice to see you are Well & Happy! 😊 Babymetal has meant so very much to me over the years. They were/are such a joy to see them live. I only wish Mikio was still with us along with our beloved Angel of Dance, Yui.
I hope you didn't do this thinking it was the new song xD The new album is called The Other _One,_ the first single from past month was called Shingeki (Divine Attack), and the _one_ that releases this afternoon is called Monochrome. The _One_ is the song that closed their second album and was premiered in christmas 2015, during this show where they were doing this crane thing over the audience. In their lore they call their fans together with them as _The One,_ so it is a song about the union between BABYMETAL and the fans. Thank for the vid! It was a nice _one._
This song is a love letter to the fans really. The Egyptian theme and stage setup is an homage to Iron Maiden and their stage for the Powerslave tour. Babymetalized, of course
This song just gives you feels. You want to be in the audience with them above you. This was all three of them. This song is them to their crowd like about us is for band maid
The one is not a new song it's actually from the second album metal Resistance metal galaxy is the third album but Divine Attack is a new song from the new album The other one will be coming out March 24th they're dropping another new song on the 18th of this month and then a new one January and February and March when the new album comes out
Come on catch up 🤣 you missed one Album 3rd and a new single from there new album 4th last month and another to look forward to be released within a day and the album to be released march next year, and not forgetting welcome back 😁 🤘🦊🤘
⚡ 💀 💕 /🔺 This song is from the second studio album, 'Metal Resistance' (2016) not the latest, 'Metal Galaxy' (2019). The footage is from Yokohama Arena, December 12th and 13th, 2015, the final dates of the 2015 BABYMETAL World Tour. Yui officially left the group in October 2018, but had not been on stage with BABYMETAL for a year before that. From what they said after the performance, the hardest part wasn't the height, it was to stick to the choreography instead of waving to the people in the crowd below. : ) The video has the audio from the domestic (Japanese) release of the Metal Resistance album. The international release of the album has an entirely English version. Usually this song is performed in English, even in Japan. Recently they have been starting off with the softer "Unfinished version" before going into the version with guitars and drums.
It's possible you were thinking about a newer version of this song, 'BABYMETAL 【THE ONE - STAIRWAY TO LIVING LEGEND】', from last year. That one has just Su and Moa.
Welcome back! So glad to see you again!! To answer some of your questions: actually this song is in the second album, not in the latest. At the time Yui was still in the band, she performed last time in october 2017 and then officially left one year later. This performance was recorded at the Yokohama Arena in december 2015 in front of 18000 people. It was the final chapter of a great tour that year. Maybe it's not their best song, but it's so emotional ❤ "Whenever, we are on your side...remember, always on your side" 🤘🦊
Only a handful of songs can make a grumpy old guy like me get emotional, and BABYMETAL's "The One" is one of them! Their most recent version released before they went on hiatus hits me even harder!🤘🦊🤘
Thank you for this very nice and thoughtful reaction. Babymetal songs never fade out... only on this video cut. You will enjoy experiencing the full, uncut, and non-intercut real performance. Only then will you experience the true, powerful, and beautiful ending to this song. You will also see more of the stagecraft and some peeks at the tech crew managing flight operations.
