I replaced my stator and when I put the new one the magneto won’t spin..I lined it up with the key but then it feels like it’s stuck. Any ideas why? It used to spin with the old stator so I’m not sure if I’m installing it wrong
@@isaacbaas9509 yo wassup I just seen this comment , I just bought a new stator that I could adjust and lined it up with the old one and marked it , it u can print out a timing sheet online then you need to torque the flywheel , if it’s not torqued right the stator will burn

My flywheel is covered in some powder orso, kinda yellow ish, any idea?

What coil is the lights coil?

Are you sure the screws holding the stator plate are seated down all the way? They will bite the back of the magneto and not let it spin.
I put a new stator on now the bike is going in reverse I can’t do the timing cause it only bolts in 1 wat

That means you need to reverse the polarity of the stator, snip + and - and swap them. Will require some soldering to do it the right way.
