Divulged the name of his father, the Blood Fin Pirates' captain, Hammerhead Heath. Recognized the GBU stamp, confirming a link between GBU and Gus. It's so funny seeing Rustage put clues here and there and the crew just being blind to it... 😅 Like for the coadding of the ship, the wife's letter mentionned it before.
A bit of a personal story, because I'm in the mood to share it. It's funny because I started my own D&D campaign on RUclips around the same time One Piece D&D Marines started, being inspired by what Rustage did before that with One Piece D&D and Isekai D&D. So, I use the number of episodes of One Piece D&D Marines to see if we progress at the same pace (because we also do episodes of 2 hours every 2 weeks). And in fact, yesterday, I published our 34th episode, so I find it funny that we got a lead now, because for a long time we and the Rustage's crew were always at the same number of episodes.
I like the idea that the marine group we follow is going to be the change in the marines. Creating their forms of proper justice within their ranks. In One Piece we already see that the marines are super corrupt especially in the more current chapters and if we follow the timeline of this series following back to the Pirates D&D we already know of individuals like Arzen and Jefferson who were actively high members of Navy who worked to complete their version of justice following under the ruling of Aether. 10 years have passed since the last series, and I can assume there have been improvements but realistically the navy has just prob gotten better at hiding their negative deeds. Now our group is completely aware of the situation and even Damian who was programmed and created to be the "perfect" marine is questioning his protocols and higher ups. I can't wait to see how the series continues and how the characters develop from this point on. I hope they start learning haki from Jiro or at least question Raj an older member if he has experience with it because they are very combat oriented and after all these battles i feel like it would have bloomed for them if that makes sense. Wishing the best for the real Myth Busters!
Im so happy you brought uo Aether. Jiro said the specific phrase "the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few." The last time we heard that WAS the extremely traumatic Aether arc during Pirates. Rustage is bringing it back in some way and im scared...
The funniest part about the ending of this episode, is that the only people who are conscious don’t know about Taiga’s flesh eating monster. I mean Pearl does but she wasn’t apart of the aside that Bradley and Kai had so she might have realized it’s eating him.
Our crew just ain't stronk enough to outright arrest baddies, killing them is just easier I love this crew's growth. Not much changed with Bradley but eyyyy no need changin' peak Goddamit Rustage you're not making Gus a family man..! Oh god, goddamit Kai- TPK! TPK! TPK!~ Thank heavens please save everyone Jiro, Kai did a very dumb! Shame, Kai can't even get the necklace now. Orders are orders-
Is no-one going to talk about how this episode accidentally became a better Halloween special than last years? We got alien parasites, zombie androids, dumb horror movie mistakes, near TPK: I was on the edge of my seat this episode!
Edit: Putting this up top hoping people will see it... we need a picture of Kai in the downed/dead Yamcha pose. Man Spooky... I know taking threats down is important but Dodge... Dodge the single ranged enemy to make yourself almost immortal against it with disadvantage and the ability to just drop ranged damage by... what 12 minimum at this point? Great Episode my guys.
The Yamcha pose is what crossed my mind the moment they said "Kai is lying in a crater". I'm surprised how no one else has commented it... I have no artistic/photoshop skills so I can't make that picture and I don't like using AI for it either...
This is why they need the healer's feat early on. First time a person gets unconscious they receive xd6+4 hit points where x equals 1+number of max hit dice when someone uses a healer's kit on them. Otherwise the recipient receives a single hit point.
This is the craziest episode of One Piece Dungeon and Dragons so far! Even though they won the battle, it feels like they lost the war due to most of the Marines dying because of the suits and they have to cover up this incident to protect the image of the Marines. I sadly have no sympathy for Gus due all the messed up things that he has done and was a part of, him having wife and a child isn't going to convince me that ship has sailed. The next arc is going to be the Blood Fin Pirates arc, which is going to be Bradley arc, so before we get to jeppard, we have to get past Bradley's father and maybe his sister depending on what happens. When it comes to Hammerhead Heath, he probably the strongest pirate in the Paradise side of the Grand Line with the bounty that he has, so once he and jeppard are dealt with, they are probably going to the New World. We are getting a fishman island like arc but for the Marines instead, I definitely looking forward to it. I'm hoping that once they settle things with The Blood Fin Pirates and Jeppard, that they join Sword or if it wasn't created before, they will help start it being the founding members. I'm so worried about Taiga, he's so sick that unless you have one of the best doctors in the world, I don't think Taiga is making it out alive, the only other option I can think of is to find Old Louis from the Original One Piece Dungeons and Dragons to help cure Taiga especially with the talking wart on him and that it seems to be controlling Taiga. Kai makes one of the biggest and dumbest mistakes probably in One Piece History, which almost gets him and the entire team killed and I highly doubt he going to be promoted if not demoted after this! I understand why he did it but, he could have waited until all the robots are gone to do it and the smarter move was to run, not fight, I wonder if Luffy would have done something this foolish, but that's up for debate. They all need to heal and then train to learn some new things possibly the Six Powers and/or Haki to prepare for the next arc.
I wish some of the PCs get more area of effect or saving throw abilities so that a turn isn’t just missing these things. Glad it wasn’t a TPK or it’d have been a year and a half of campaign down the drain over a dumb mistake.
I love how they ignored DJ Ripted crying on her father's body the whole episode even after they dealt with Gus and Powder and investigated the office 😂
I am gonna be honest i am surprised why anyone apart from damian are gonna continue to be marines, they've seen how rotten it is and jiro pretty much told them to hide to rot for whatever reason...i imagine alot of resignations should be coming in quick, i am very interested in how rustage continues the rp
Yokan is loyal to the marines because she was saved Kai trusts his uncle Bradley doesn’t seem to have strong feelings except to take down his dad Taiga is dying and probably doesn’t know whats going on Anchor Arms has to make amends Heather will stick with Bradley Raj will go along with what damien says
Rustage i have been binging your dnds and I've finily cought up and i have 2 questions for you 1 what happened to the first devil fruit you sayed it was growing on laugh tail 2 what happened to little Rickey i dont remember Lisa bringing him down and he didn't get a epilog
I actually wonder how the group would react to the warlords cause they are pirates under the government. I think the warlords that are definitely there are crocodile, jinbe maybe, boa?, kuma, dofamingo and mihawk. Maybe others, but that it maybe
I’m sorry but next episode Kai needs some sort of punishment I’m not necessarily saying demote him (though it’s very understandable if that route happens) but this can’t just a slap on the wrist surely Then again if there is no punishment I ain’t gonna complain either I’m just along for the ride and enjoying the story
Okay question to rustage. So early into Marines dnd the group meets with a marine named Pluto. Was that the same pluto from Pirates dnd? The 8 marines that helped the crew take down blake that were named after planets. (To refresh your memory) since pluto was the only one to survive. Im just curious because i remember when the group met Pluto and i was popping off but no one else was.
Jiro: i think one day you'll meet the fleet admiral kai
Kai: thank you uncle jiro
Less then 10 minutes later KAI ALMOST FRICKING DIES
In this episode of One Piece D&D Marines:

- Kai in episode 15 "Tries to drown Tiga" Kai in episode 32 " Hold my death saves"
- Damian almost became the 1st cyborg to have both a heart attack and an aneurysm
- Yokan locks the F in!
- Rustage makes Zane work for that paycheck (if you know you know)
- The squad head out to showcase the Marine's Survivor Benefit Program to Gus's widow

1:02:45 the next one piece dnd season is just gonna be 4 doctors
Classic Kai…Causing more trouble for his team than the enemy do
At least they got more xp from the robots
1:06:08- when everything changes
The "tekking does a stupid" timestamp
Kai put us in filler 😱😱😱 (this was so funny)
I noticed, hope we can get one piece DnD Marine Movie
I am gonna be honest i am surprised why anyone apart from damian are gonna continue to be marines, they've seen how rotten it is and jiro pretty much told them to hide to rot for whatever reason...i imagine alot of resignations should be coming in quick, i am very interested in how rustage continues the rp
Yokan is loyal to the marines because she was saved
Kai trusts his uncle
Bradley doesn’t seem to have strong feelings except to take down his dad
Taiga is dying and probably doesn’t know whats going on
Anchor Arms has to make amends
Heather will stick with Bradley
Raj will go along with what damien says
Hehe Daniel forgetting half movement to get up after revives again 🤣
Rustage i have been binging your dnds and I've finily cought up and i have 2 questions for you
1 what happened to the first devil fruit you sayed it was growing on laugh tail
2 what happened to little Rickey i dont remember Lisa bringing him down and he didn't get a epilog
I actually wonder how the group would react to the warlords cause they are pirates under the government. I think the warlords that are definitely there are crocodile, jinbe maybe, boa?, kuma, dofamingo and mihawk. Maybe others, but that it maybe
nope Kuma becomesj a Warlord after Ace beats one and is offered the posiotn but turns it down, only 2 years before canon and this is 10 years
Dudes rustage wearing a red Sox’s hat is so surreal as a fan from Boston
In the future campaign of One Piece Revolutionaries DnD someone better play the damn doctor
Robots with guns dashing to get closer to attack 😂❤
Absolute chaos is the perfect title
Damnit, Kai…
~_~
I wish I had a group who really played. My first campaign one of my best friends didnt give a shit to even be a part and it ruined the group dynamic
end game bbeg should be an elder I'd love to see it
Getting on the editing yall make it hard lol
I will never not like seeing you guys or this series
I’m sorry but next episode Kai needs some sort of punishment I’m not necessarily saying demote him (though it’s very understandable if that route happens) but this can’t just a slap on the wrist surely
Then again if there is no punishment I ain’t gonna complain either I’m just along for the ride and enjoying the story
1:18:55 tekking WE can do this
I busted out laughing
This episode could have been so much shorter if kai was not kai. And i love it
"Heather and Heath" is not even that bad of a name coincidence. In my campaign we had a player character "Astra" and an npc named "Astrid".
You know, after this fight, I'm thinking they didn't actually need a long rest to fight Tavrock. Poor anchor arms
Aye it was my birthday when he posted this, big 17 babyyyyy!!!!!!!!🎉🎉🎉
Wait so who is the old dude on the thumbnail? Am I being dumb or did this character just not show up this episode?
Powder!
@ I wish I could use that gif of the guy face palming all the way through his face rn. Cheers for the clarification
It was generous from rustage to throw 2 Npcs into the battle but i would have done the same
Wow, bumper episode that's over two hours long, nice.
NOT THE AETHER FOUNDATION NOOOOOOOOOO I thought they were completely destroyed...they gotta go down again and jiro may have to go...
The 2 Hours of Powder
That Jiro/Gus Poweder Hour.
IS THAT GARP
I was about to say the same damn thing, but then I remembered that Garp’s hair is gray, not white. He ain’t That old yet.
Is Bell a re isekaid The Shark cause she is about knee high.
1:05 Jack Skellington
Okay question to rustage. So early into Marines dnd the group meets with a marine named Pluto. Was that the same pluto from Pirates dnd? The 8 marines that helped the crew take down blake that were named after planets. (To refresh your memory) since pluto was the only one to survive. Im just curious because i remember when the group met Pluto and i was popping off but no one else was.
Yes that is the same Pluto he references the exchange the Devil's Luck pirates made with the Marines to get Blake.
Is that Colonel Sanders?
FUCK YESSSS IM FINALLY UP TO SPEED AND CAN JOIN THE LIVES LOL
Wait that art is Powder??? I thought he was a jokingly old shriveled guy who was kinda strong. Didn’t expect him to be cool
Who is the thumbnail?
It's Powder!
the ad`s are crazy i had 7 in 30 min
