The Spidey undies outfit is easy to explain: Peter finally did some laundry. He keeps the mask because he's protecting his identity, but everything else is in the machine.
Where does he keep his camera?
@@DerekBarns I think you know where 😉 lmao
@@DerekBarns It's obvious that he wasn't planning on leaving the house - so this is just for emergencies. I assume he's not bringing his camera with him.
Like on The Terminator
Wash day tomorrow, nothing clean, right?
Perfectly normal day for the locals seeing your friendly neighbourhood Spiderman web swinging his way to the laundrette with his laundry then casually waiting around and/or fighting crime in nothing but his mask and his underwear in the interim. Must make for some interesting conversations admittedly
Andy's ideal Spiderman suit:
95% Eyes
3% inverted finger colours
2% Uncle Ben's death somehow..
A costume made from Uncle Ben's skin
The wrestling outfit, it was from a point in life that was a contribution to Peter not being there to save him.
I like how they captured the footage of Noctis in that serious scene in Final Fantasy XV wearing that Noodle Helmet. I didn't know that I needed that in my life.
"WHy was he smiling!? WHY!??"
because you're wearing a stupid hat, you knobhead
As if they were going to miss that golden opportunity?
RUclips algorytm decides what we need in our lives. :)
I would have liked to see the Garden Quay scene
I wore that Noodle helmet most of the game when it came out. But then we got the Chocomog festival outfit and that plumbob on his head just made every serious moment no longer serious, lol. I went into the final battle with it on as well, 30 year old Noctis. Also, I'm replaying the game and only recently did the FF14 promo stuff. Noctis as a cat boy was everything I'd been missing in my life (the outfit given after finishing the event). I only regret that they didn't give kitty ears to the other bros :)
Can I just say that the Dhalsim costume is really freaking clever? I thought they'd go the easy route with another elastic character like Luffy or Plasticman or Mr. Fantastic, but going with what basically appears to be a possessed pile of rags is so far out of left field it's genius!
I think it probably went over most people's heads, Drax style...
Are we sure it's the invisible man and not... um... who was the mummy guy in Darkstalkers? Anakaris?
I was legit interested in Andy's list of top Spider-Man costumes though...
Yeah. So was I...
That video needs to be made!
So am I.
Same here...
Same
I for one am looking forward to the upcoming, hour-long video of Andy critiquing superhero costumes whilst working his way through a bottle of wine.
Now I'm just imagining that any time Andy gets alcohol he just devolves into critiquing superhero costumes which, with that in mind, makes their cocktail videos a lot more entertaining with the thoughts of what happens when the cameras cut off.
I would totally watch
Superhero costumes? No. Superhero beards, yes!
I'd watch it.
I'd watch either of those to be honest. Each person could do one, Andy about superhero beards/costumes, Jane about science in video games and popular culture, and Mike about cars in video games and popular culture (I know the last two have sort of been done in a way on the channel before, but more could never hurt)
_"Can't wear clothes, or he can't climb_
_He is naked all the time_
_Look out! Accurate Spider-Man!"_
@flurglhinge His heat regulation: 4:35
Don't try to think about where he'd fit the web shooter.
@flurglhinge you forgot the bumflap, no self respecting spider shoots webs from its limbs
@@lazerbeams2536 why couldn't he have been bitten by a bat or a snake or something... is a koala too much to ask for maybe?
If you want to get serious, I would guess the feet and hands on the suit is made of some sort of thin durable fabric that the invisible hairs which allow him to climb can permiate like mesh
I think we're forgetting about Cod of War. It's literally Kratos in a fish costume.
Wait is this just bad spelling or is there seriously a Cod of War game?
@@gruggerduggerhoose It's a costume in God of War 2.
Dread Nausea god damn it. A 10/10 bit of pun-work there.
Wasn’t there also a cow costume with Kratos swinging milk jugs around?
@@joeschmo3844 Yep. It was called the Dairy Bastard lol
Most of these can be explained as "something odd in the water at Capcom"
Have we checked in on them lately? Are we sure they're okay?
Considering their incredibly strange writing, i'd say there is definitely something up there.
"My duty as king of what?"
*NoOdLeS*
King of All Noodles!
Send noods
*ping wants to know your location*
well female chars often get outfits that pretty much leave them half naked, so why not a male char once in a while.
but oh some of those costumes are hillarious
@Yuu Kajuji *REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE intensifies*
@Yuu Kajuji They didn't seem to be crying over it, just pointing it out
@Yuu Kajuji Sorry I'm in a serious relationship with this girl name Anonymous over on 4Chan. She seems like a really wholesome young lady.
There's a kind of sexy costume that doubles as comedy, and Resident Evil seems to specialize in it.
08:32 MORRIGAN from Darkstalkers! She is totally one of the "half naked" ones... and Frank dresses as her...
The attacks with the Amaterasu outfit are great, though. And he actually dies the way Sissel does in that outfit? Amazing.
the in-game description is great too. if you gotta be a dog, at least it's a sun god one.
all this makes me feel is the desire for a ghost trick sequel
Looks so cute in that outfit too! Aw, I just want to pet him!
0:48 Cup Noodle Hat: My high school principle liked to wear a wedge of cheese on his head at sporting events. Which was EXTRA odd, as our school was in Minnesota.
I've seen this on TV with sports and don't understand it, lol.
@@BewareTheLilyOfTheValley It's for fans of the Green Bay Packers, who are from Wisconsin, the "Dairy State".
@@Hellwyck Ahh, thank you!
I can explain the noodles helmet. Hot headed people can keep them hot and delicious. Plus, have you guys not seen that noodles fix everything!?
It's kinda like how Sub-Zero from the Mortal Kombat series can, to quote Andy "keep beer cold in his ninja pants", then?
Noctis complains a lot but I wouldn't call him hot-headed though your comment made me laugh :) Give the helmet to Gladio...both for his weird love of the noodles and because that man had the emotional range of a teaspoon (to quote Hermione) and sucks at dealing with heavy emotions (he was quite the bastard to Noctis as he dealt with the depression of losing his fiancee until Ignis finally made him back off).
TINGLE. TINGLES OUTFIT. WHY IS HE WEARING THAT. WHY
He tell's you.
Tingle is peak performance
Because he thinks he's a fairy.
Literally. In Majora's Mask he straight up tells you this on your first encounter.
Tingles outfit is even weirder in breath of the wild...
Depends on the game
"Prince Noctis and his boy band"
I haven't played FF15 and to me, that's what it is about 😊
I HAVE played FF15, and that's exactly what it's about. Can confirm.
When Samus turns into a ball there is some science thing happening that reduces the distance of Samus' atoms to make her smaller and she runs around inside the ball like a hamster :D
Wait...Samus is a Pokemon??!!
Omg i wish that was true lol I'm not really a fan of the games but if nintendo came out and confirmed that's what happens i will be
The Prime games suggest that her body is somehow converted into energy, but given that the Morph Ball is actually a meter wide it's not impossible for her to contort herself and just direct the ball with brainwaves or something
@@Chernobog2 GameTheory suggested it's just able to be done normal and Samus is just normally rolled up.
@@Chernobog2 The Prime games also go into detail on how the Space Pirates try to replicate it. Very amusing.
Noctis is literally just vibing, leave him alone.
Zayaan Atif aren’t we all
I have a great shirt that’ll be perfect for that hat
Man's been through enough, let him have some fun
Andy: Having a dead Uncle... or that his Uncle died.
I see Andy’s hate for Uncle knows no bounds.
Cowboy accent: "Spidey, ma boy... Spideeeey"
"Thirst" is an easy explanation for all the costumes in the lists so far.
There's 7.76 trillion people on Earth, someone somewhere is into it
We're not at a trillion yet, but I can see why you'd make that mistake. That or autocorrect.
Billion, not trillion
Lexi Guches noodle head tho? Also, we likely will never get far past 11 billion.
I mean I definitely don't mind the sailor outfit in the beginning, or the undies outfit
... Always had a thing for Polygons
I know some
God of War II's 'Cod of War'
Silent Hill 3's 'Princess Heart'
Metal Gear Rising Mariachi Costume
And the weirdest one: Dead or Alive's Alien Zack
Megaman ZX Advent's Model a( its 8bit version of the main character).
Chomp outfit from Bravely Second.
Fat Nathan Drake.
And finally clown costume in Hitman.
God of War has a few that would be perfect for this list. My favorite is the dairy bastard in GoW 1. Cow suit with milk jugs for blades of chaos.
@@barrybend7189 I feel like you can do a whole list of just hitman costumes.
I think they did the Princess Heart in a previous video.
I think some of those have been mentioned in previous costumed-based videos.
Re: Andy speaking about the Amaterasu costume in Dead Rising:
"You keep calling him a dog, but anyone can tell he's clearly a WOLF!"
She.
Not to mention, "Ookami" literally translates to "wolf" in Japanese, lol.
@@BewareTheLilyOfTheValley Yep.
Fluffymiyster it also means great god or spirit, the devs named the game that on purpose as a play on words since you play a goddess who is also a wolf.
The explanation for everything is simple:
It’s all Mike’s fault. The end.
Allen forgot to add details
Don't you mean Human McChannell?
@@varunchaturvedi2581 Human McChannell sounds weird and awesome at the same time.
4:10 Mike: "I've got the door open. Let's stop him!"
**Cut*, and then Andy continues talking about Spiderman costumes somehow....
I strongly suspect that either Jane has been bribed, Mike has been killed, or both, in that order.
Can we all just take a moment to appreciate the comedic genius of this cutscene 2:13 xD
"Which is less 'noble deity' and more 'keynote speaker at a furry convention'"
Brilliant
"Is that mild disgust? Fear?"
Constipation, Andy. Constipation.
Also, does Fox McCloud Bayonetta do a barrel roll?
That's a basic combat maneuver for normal Bayo… so yes.
@@marhawkman303 But does anyone announce it right before she does it? Cuz that would be cool.
@@purpleiguana208 it's basically her just somersaulting sideways. And like I said, it's a basic combat evasion move, so all her suits do it.
@@marhawkman303 I get that. I'm just trying to bring the Fox McCloud side of things into it.
I kind of love low-poly outfits in games. The Mario 64 outfit in Odyssey is one of my favorites.
There's something majestic about seeing a blocky character from a previous era blending in with high end graphics
Megaman Model a from Megaman ZX Advent. Model O in Megaman ZX.
What about Count Dooku's PJs from Star Wars Battlefront II? I mean, comfy. BUT, slightly strange to wear during the Genosis Battle in the Clone Wars. I mean think of the sand that'll get into it, it'll take months to clean!
The explanation is that Dooku is flexing, reminding everybody of the time he fought 3 Nightsisters while half asleep, drugged, and in his jammies, and still came out on top.
@@ilyasbasuki3207 Yeah, I'd be embarrassed, too, if I were reminded of the time I epically failed an easy assassination. >.<
Not that the nightsisters lived long enough to feel embarrassment lol
14:40 "anthropomorphic fox character from Star Fox, Fox McCloud."
What the fox is happening?
Master Chief outfit with matching assault rifle and energy sword in Fable 2. Which, need I remind you, is a decidedly NON sci-fi game.
*Explination for LITERALLY ANYTHING BOtW LINK WEARS: “guys can feel good too!”*
Rule of rose has some of the best costumes i've seen. The octopus and the chair costume are a 10/10
10:32 "Off-brand theme park mascot"
Did Jane really forget who Kermit is?
My explanation for the cup noodle hat, Gladiolus obsession for cup noodles is so great, that he bought the hat at a cup noodle museum that they stopped at before the car broke down, gave it to Noctis as a present, and after wearing it once to make Gladiolus happy, they realize the hat has weird healing effects, and now it is a thing the group has :P
I love how most of these are Capcom games!
Also, it's pretty odd not to see anything Hitman related on this list, especially since you guys are pretty big fans of the series.
Airod The Dragon I’m pretty sure you can explain every costume off as a disguise. That’s an easy explanation for all the costumes
Or 47 being a psychotic looney who wants some fun with he finds.
@@XBeastModeXEPIC I don't think so... How do you disguise your self as a frog in a castle or as a "weird mummy" in a fight tournament?
while in 47 case... well he usually finds the costume on site, so someone else has a reason to dress like that... except in those cases were we get the costume in one site and bring into another...
@@youkofoxy Beastmode was referring to Agent 47's costumes as easily explainable and thus the reason he was left out not the costumes in this list xD
That would require a video of it's own though!
I'm looking forward to the Red Dead 3 costume option of just underwear, and Mike's cowboy hero annoying Andy by eschewing clothes entirely.
Or maybe Andy would just be proud of his cowboy's well-conditioned and cared-for pecs
14:46 "that's a bit like me being called Human MkChannel"
Me: "All I heard was Human Mike Channel."
Same
Mikes new name to be “Human McChannell” whos wants to chip in for the deedpoll paperwork?
Have we got the paperwork back from last time yet when Jane made him change it to "Mike Button" in an ill advised "press the Mike button" promotion?
Mister The Geoff i think dave had that last. Might want to ask him.
Fine with me.
Am I the only one who skips through the stupid spoiler warning? I'd rather be surprised what games they cover not see a full list haha..
It's so silly, especially when it's 2-10 year old games.
After 6 months even, that's it, if someone hasn't played it yet that's on them
Plus in episodes like this it's not even a goddamn spoiler
The whole spoiler culture thing is just off the rails
Noone gave a fuck a few years ago
Why is Ike Button calling himself "Mike" now? I must've missed a terminal or journal with some lore.
I may be american but somehow you have my £5
The reckoner knight armor in Mass Effect 3. The game it came from (something called Kingdoms of Amalur) was good, but that armor.....why?
Also, there's the N7 armour in KoA so I guess same universe confirmed? Don't tell Ellen...
@Yuu Kajuji Honestly I quite like it, kind of a fantasy medieval restyling of Shepard's gear. Fairly good set bonuses too for starting game armour
@Yuu Kajuji The Shepard's Armour set in KoA does actually look pretty cool (as do the accompanying Omniblade daggers) but it's only useful in the earlier levels of the game. Wish there was a way to keep the look but upgrade the stats (this goes for a lot of cool armour / weapons in multiple games, though).
@Yuu Kajuji that was slightly my problem. In ME/2/3, regardless of class, I'd always end up using the same playstyle, and thus taking the same upgrades, and thus using the same pieces of armor no matter what I was...especially since most of the helm were either butt ugly or hid my sexy Shepard face
I did like the explanation for it: it's repurposed player gear from the archetypal Violent Future Sport.
10:40 - Maybe ending C involves her being knocked out, and put into a Kermitose state.
Frog McKermit?!
Peter Parker needs to do his laundry...
Here's a pretty underrated one, how about Lucas bath towel outfit in Ar Tonelico? It's only her wearing a bath towel yet it's considered one of the better armored for her and you get it late in the game. How does that make sense?
One of my favorite lines now is..
"It's better off wearing a Kino outfit on a furry convention. "
I felt that.
Bayonetta outfit explained in a nutshell: She looks absolute gorgeous in every outfit. There, done. End of Conversation. Such a waste of spot on the list
And for why she can turn into a ball without serious injury like Samus, well she's a Witch, you've seen her turn into a Panther, a flock of Bats and a fricking Snake, so a Ball is pretty tame compared to all those things
Reminds me of a simpler time. When you get alternate suits by PLAYING THE GAME!!!!!
Andy going rogue is always my favorite.
I played through RE2 using that skin because I thought it was hilarious. My favorite part is when normal, detailed Ada kisses the blocky, unmoving face of Leon. It looked amazing.
Does that mean that Noctis had the noodle dream? We need to introduce him to Poe's dad.
What's a noodle dream?
@@empoleonmaster6709 watch the movie Kung Fu Panda.
How about:
The Cheese Wheel shield in Dragon Age: Inquisition
The Gym Teacher outfit in Bayonetta 1?
The Dhalsim one looks like a reference to Anakaris from Darkstalkers.
I thought that, too.
The only ones that I can think about now:
-demonic (Doom)slayer “think about it”
And doot revenant.
-Nintendo switch shirt in LOZ:BOTW
-haunted from halo reach ( H4’s fotus too)
- Raiden’s ‘mariachi’ disguise (MGRR)
I’m thinking about canon though. so...
He's been so long in Hell he BECAME Hell.
Fabio Moreira “you’ve become the very thing you swore to destroy!”
Ghost Trick is such a great game; I remember playing it on my phone. I love games that involve fun and innovative puzzlesolving; nice to see a nod to it in other games!
We need more of it!!
You can’t improve on the perfection that is cup noodle. Even if it’s as a hat....
Anything is better when you add rockets...
Well, you're tasked with upping your Cup Noodle game with either a mission to add shrimp, meat (a behemoth) or egg (killing the giant Zu bird at the top of the volcano) AND stealing its baby. And what happens when you add shrimp, noodle or egg? The ultimate flavor experience! Now tell me, Noct, which one do you prefer?
Me: I mean, I'm not wasting shrimp on a damn cup of noodles...
“Aw, and here I thought you were cool, Andy 😥” - me, when Andy starts ripping on the White Spider suit in Spider-Man PS4
4:38 my guess is that it's a reference to the way Spidey was introduced in Avengers: Civil War. Stark called him "Underroos", slang for underwear.
Wonder Woman outfit is a Legendary armor set in AC Odyssey (sure it's technically period accurate, but it's still Wonder Woman god damn it.)
8bit Megaman Model A in Megaman ZX Advent. Your literally playing a nes Megaman character in a 32 bit Megaman game.
The undies suit is a reference to Amazing Spider-Man #1(2015). A super-villain whose only power is destroying clothes manages to get everything of Spidey’s suit but his mask. Except, in the comic, they manage to destroy his underwear, so he has to web up some underwear, which gets stuck to him and won’t dissolve for two hours.
I wouldn't mind seeing a video of Andy talking about all the different Spider-Man costumes
Half of the helmets and armours in Halo 5: Guardians.
Notable examples: Argonaut, Commando, Cyclops, Legionnaire, Seeker
Hey why not make a list of
"Objects we always pick up no matter what"? Dont think ive seen that one yet, yall
the Spiderman undies is the perfect costume to have on when in the cut scene where you cook dinner at MJ's place. Then when he needs to go, he's in his underwear trying to sneak out the window when MJ asks "Did you just leave your clothes in my kitchen?"
We all know for sure that the Bayonetta fox outfit's tail is a buttplug.
"Unless those are real fur, in which case: Has anyone checked in on Fox McCloud?"
Well, in Star Fox Zero you definitely see the franchise dying...
Alright, I'm just gonna bleach my eyes after seeing that Cammy costume, thanks!
Can you pass some of that over here? I might not be able to look at Cammy the same way again. 😨
@@coltonwilliams4153 I would, but I can't find it anymore. I'm sure it's around here somewhere though.
I once tried to record a playthrough of Spider-man on my channel and stopped half way through the first level when I realised I still had the Spider-undies equipped from my last playthrough.
Amazing outfit, slightly embarissing to fight crime in though. Bombastic bag man ftw tho
The Cup Ramen hat was actually done for a promotion for the game where you had the chance to win the game. The hat was DLC made for the promotion. That and it's funny, like the Chicken hat from MGSV
Emil's haunting face is an oversized mask in Nier: Automata. With matching Emil head gauntlets and projectile replacements.
8:16. "IT'S MA'AM...."
Another strange one to add to your list would have to be the Upsidown Teapot costume from Little Nightmares. Not only is it a breakable teapot literally covering Six's head, you have to wonder how she can even see out of that thing???
With all the craziness on SF5 (wedding dress Chun-Li, zombie Guile, summer Juri, all the cosplay costumes), OX decided to comment on... Invisible Man Dhalsim?!
Before Frank West decided to get in touch with his inner furry, Travis Grady from Silent Hill Origins decided to base his fursona on the dog from SH2's dog ending and wear a fursuit of it. Just imagine him being in his way to a convetion, popping by Silent Hill for gas or whatever, and getting caught up in that mess all while in costume.
Spidey left his suit at the dry cleaners,
But still has time to save people, the determination
1:55 'my duty as king of what ?' I laff too tooo hard at that
Whenever I had the chance to put food on my characters in the Tekken series customizations I did. I put a bowl of noodles on Law's head in T5DR & crabs on his back in T5, bananas on Marduk in 5DR, & so on.
I honestly never questioned the noodle cup hat that Noctis can wear.
Does crack me up seeing that noodle hat with a serious cutscene
48% chose the underwear and spidey mask?! Y’all know the question is which YOU would prefer and it’s YOU who will be wearing it right?
If yes, kudos to you having that much self confidence! I’ll save your eyes and go for the noodle cup.
i’ve never felt more seen then when andy was talking about spider-suits and the chaos that resulted therein
Can we have a (bonus) video of just Andy complaining about spiderman costumes? Cause I'd totally watch that.
I'm pretty sure we can riot if we can't have it. I'm down for it.
That’s just his Cup (of noodle) head cosplay. He’s really excited about Cuphead in Smash.
Final Fantasy XV is bizarre. I have my entire squad dressed in their FFXIV outfits, which makes Noctis into a catgirl and makes the entire squad look like they're going to an anime convention
Oh, and the Star Mercenary suit actually has an interesting effect on the final chapter... I won’t say what, though.
The undies outfit is actually a reference to an alternate timeline graphic novel. Spider-Man Reign, there's a sequence in which Peter, now an old man who has long since given up the superhero life and supers have become completely illegal, puts on an old Spider-Man mask, and, in only that and his boxers, goes out into the city. He ends up fighting some cops and saving some people. The comic is a work of art in all honesty.
the Fox costume in Bayo2 also changes a level to an Arwing section
So Andy, when are we going to see you in those heels you talked about in the "Remothered" video, hmmm?
Someone may have mentioned this, but Spidey's Undies outfit is actually ALSO a reference to a comic book moment. There is an alternate timeline where a villain unraveled the thread to the mask, and Peter's identity was revealed. Some Marvel magic and time travel shenanigans later, the event was changed so that Peter's mask was the only thing NOT unravelled, and he had to make a quick pair of web undies.
I would genuinely enjoy a list video of Andy just talking about Spiderman costumes the entire time
4:44 *cut to Captain Underpants beaming with pride*
Persona 5, explain how joker can change his own clothes and the clothes of his friends into: uniforms from schools he’s never been to, maid and butler uniforms, stylish Santa Claus, outfits from Catherine, the fucking power rangers, and an old Japanese military uniform
My first experience with weird-ass costumes in games was the Cod of War costume in God of War, and the Dairy Bastard one. And Tycoonius. And the mine outfit in Chains of Olympus.
Nothing kills the mood of the tragedy of the morally and emotionally damaged Kratos cutting a bloody swath across his journeys with furious rage like him done up as a fish, a cow costume, a mine getup, or the business suit with his blades as suitcases. Honestly after that the McKratos costume with him with red hair and a gnarly red beard with axes almost makes sense.
The end was the best part where Andy was talking about the Spidey costumes
While only tangentially related to the amazing Ben Reilly Spider-Man costume, anyone remember the Spider-Girl comics? With Peter's daughter taking up crime-fighting? She wore a modified variant of that outfit and the whole comic was just amazing.
Okay but that Fox costume is freaking adorable and needs no explanation.
My theory on Bayonetta's Star Fox outfit is Krystal clear. She's Foxy, as a matter of Falco (Fact). She's Peppy and makes our mind Slippy on her new look. And that Andross I know on the subject.
The morphball uses the same technology as a pokeball to convert organic matter into light and allow it to be stored in the much smaller space.
Great video . One of my favorite costumes are in RE4 . The leon with his wise guy outfit and Tommy gun . Ashley in her body armer...lol. good times
“Worked Hard on those Innards” is the name of my new band!
Pff, Frank'd be laughed out of a furry convention in that outfit. You can still see his face
