- This KOMO News Town Hall highlights the four candidates who have raised the most and polled the highest of anyone running for Washington state governor.
KOMO News Senior Reporter and Host Chris Daniels sat down with Bob Ferguson, Dave Reichert, Mark Mullet, and Semi Bird. He asked about the issues that matter most to Washington voters, including homelessness, crime, and abortion in a one-hour presentation.

Mark Mullet is such a better candidate than Bob Ferguson
I’m voting for Dave because this state needs massive change. I gotta say though… if we are sticking with a democrat… Mark Mullet all the way. I think he had the best answer on the homeless issue. Ferguson by FAR had the worst.

Honestly, I’m looking at all the states that have a Republican government and it’s not looking too good. Most of them are on the verge of bankruptcy so why should we trust a Republican?

I've lived here my entire life, and an increase in GDP doesn't mean anything, when your taxed to death, through fuel, property, and every other ta tax they've come up with, all while crime,violence, homeless, and drug use has gone through the roof, all while taking away our rights, and ability to protect ourselves! Anyone will be an improvement over Ferguson, AKA Inslee 2.0!

Too bad we don’t have real journalist. This state has been a disaster on crime taxes for decades under Democrat leadership unfortunately we have ignorant voters in the state of Washington that need to be educated by journalist, asking the right questions. We have the worst transportation system, worst ferry system highest homelessness all caused by the Democrats reckless policies. How does abortion rights in LGBTQ rights help affordability help the gridlock in our transportation, restore our fairy system lower taxes in the cost-of-living for families. Quit focusing on social issues and make the state of Washington what it should be affordable, safe place to live.
Fair point. I'd like to add though as a clarifying point: Pretty sure no other state even HAS the elaborate ferry system that we do here in WA. What are you comparing it to?
Bob Ferguson is offering a lot of help to the homeless. What about the middle class and taxpayers?

Bird's Dad provided him a great service in holding him accountable for that misdemeanor 30 yrs ago! If not we never would have heard about it sure, but in doing so he taught his son healthy consequences, accountable & responsibility! Their later relationship confirms this, with Semi being appointed executor of his Dad's estate! That valuable lesson learned tells me I may just vote for this man!
But the stolen valor issue is something I can’t get over. He once admitted it, and now he’s retracted it. Classic MAGA move. He’s toast. People want someone with a long history of integrity, not just when he’s under the microscope.

Inslee in the presidential debate was 1%, as governor he was #50 out of 50.

Dow Constantine wants to build high-rise low income housing and a treatment facility on Vashon Island. I think McNeil is probably safer and more set up for the needs.

@@PHDWhom I'd rather they put high rises and treatment facilities on an island already supervised and set up with resources, than just bus them to rural communities and dumping them there. McNeil ferry is probably more reliable anyway. But go ahead and scaremonger people and act like nothing is actually wrong when people put ideas on the table. Ferguson wants more money going to homelessness,means more taxes. We need someone who isn't a life long politician, someone fresh and has newer ideas. Semi Bird. Military,School Board, and has fresh ideas that won't cost tax payers a lot more money.
Mullet had me till he said he wants to lock addicts up in treatment centers. They will not get help unless it's their choice. I would know because I was court ordered many times and never stayed clean till I decided to. This choices are so hard.

Yeah.. not an addict but I agree w you there. Forcing anyone just takes away self-agency and I think his tactic would be more harm tbh. I very much agree with Gabor Mate: ask the addict why they need the drug in the first place. It's a much more holistic viewpoint .
