Mrajack.. Aikido already did change. It became what it is today. We like it that way
primera vez que veo un video de aiki jutsu... es muy parecido al aikido. Me gustaron bastante las tecnicas de sacrificio. Muy bueno la verdad!!
Excellent demostration of Takeda Ryu. Miguel Ibarra, Hanshi
Thank you very much for your teachings.
useful techniques show in video, have to practice this Akijujitsu
Très belle démonstration technique du club de Collégien. Les sutemi sont particulièrement impressionnants (7:00).
Muy buena demostración, buena ejecución de Katori Shinto-ryu!
very good nice and smooth thank you for sharing music goes well with this video as well
@Djinnmeister i agree and in aikijutsu and in aikido we have the three man attack. MMA guys only fight one guy every couple of months.
Belle maîtrise bravo.
si
At 6:11 that was a Katori Shinto Ryu kata. Do they practise that in Aiki Jutsu? I was under the impression that only Katori students could practise Katori kata.
@shureikanshihan yes, you are right. but it is also true that aikido is a descendant of aikijutsu. In his young days Moreiha Ushiba o-sensei was a ferocious aikijutsu man but as he found religion and grew older his aikijutsu became aikido and stressed less combativeness and focused on character development and Ki not unlike many styles of chinese neijia (internal martial arts). For a Aikido man to truly understand Aikido they must eventuraly turn to aikijutsu to go full circle.
People compare things way too much, everything trained well enough works, you have to keep an open mind!
@MrAjack1984 many of aikijutsu and aikido techniques are deemed illegal in MMA due to small joint manipulation. Aikijutsu is a very effective art, if it was not not it would not be used by law enforcement and security professionals such as the US Secret Service. My former supervisor is a part time trainer at the UFC and has gotten the better of trainees many times mainly because of the footwork. They cant handle the circular footwork or the power of Ki.
background the song name?
Quelle est la musique?
The bokto stuff and the batto are from katori shinto ryu
@Djinnmeister I agree with all that you said here except that mma are softies, there very much in great physical shape. A lot of traditional martial artist dont spend the time they do in exersice BUT I am a traditional martial artist and will say that to combine my training with the physical regiment MMA sportsman put themselves through....wow, that would be great :)
this is more lethal, MMA is just more entertaining, and MMA fighters can fight also
10+ to you all
well said people dont understand that mma is a sport that you train to fight inside a cage with rules in the streest theres no ref no cage and no rules.
That's not Aikido. That's aiki-jutsu. very different.
That's like saying playing soccer without tackling isn't 'real'. Just a different form of sport really.
This is aikido
I can see trolls have been in their knife draw again leaving useless comments ?
Excellent demonstration. But personally I think the audio track detracts. It's cheesy and makes the demonstration less serious, more entertainment. I'd much rather have silence and just the sounds from the demonstration. It would add gravity and seriousness. There is no music on the battlefield. There is no music during practice in the dojo. Why have it here? But the kata was great. Crisp, smooth, fluent execution.
Agreed. What's with the shit music?
