- Welcome to my Fall 2020 Home Tour, a Fall in New England home tour at that, but I will follow up in the near future when the leaves in New England really start to turn. I can’t wait to show you our antique Colonial farmhouse, both inside and out as it looks in September, before all of the fall colors have arrived. A few things have changed since my last Traditional home tour video, especially in the family room, which got a makeover with some new trim around the doorways, paint, and window treatments. For this antique traditional home, I like to decorate in a simple, classic, elegant, and traditional New England style. If you have the time, why not make yourself a cup of tea, coffee, or your favorite libation and relax for 17 minutes or so. I hope you enjoy my autumn home tour since I love sharing our antique home with you each New England season, but especially in the fall.

There is nothing better then New England in the fall. My sister and I feel in love with the mums and pumpkins everyone decorated their porches with.

What is different about your videos is the emphasis on decorating, shopping, fixing in order to live in it - to enjoy it while using it. Other channels focus on the "fixing and finding" aspect - which is fine but they miss the point of "using it all". I've shifted to living with all of my finds and treasures - much more satisfying and calming.
I was mesmerized from the beginning straight through to the end. Your voice combined with the beautiful decor, the arrangements... all reflect Autumn in New England in its full glory. Thank you so much, Linda... totally delightful 🍁💛🍎💚🍂🧡🌿

We love it too. There are three of the same screen doors on the house. We luckily found the front door one tucked away in the basement.

You may have been! My father's family is from Nova Scotia and they had no idea part of their family arrived from Nantucket in the late 1700s.

Linda Smith Davis - New England Fine Living I, too, have a collection of little old brown bottles that my hubby & I dug up from an old dump site in the Ruby Mountain Range of N.E. Nevada. So much fun revving up ones imagination wondering how old they are and what did they contain. In addition we found a slightly rusted old Maxwell House Coffee can that was still very much intact and many, many tin cans that had labels that were partially there...all seemed to have been canned beans! 😄 Made us laugh as we remembered back to old western movies where the cowboys were sitting around campfires eating beans right out of the can! I just found your channel. Can see I’m going to love it. I now live in Vermont so I am surrounded by beautiful “everything”. Not the least of which are the old, masterfully crafted homes.
Linda, I love how you created such lovely fall decorations combining natural materials with faux. My favorite room is the newly decorated family room. This sure makes me miss my rural 5-acre hobby farm and the way I used to decorate for fall....wood, benches, metal pots for mums, grapevine wreaths, pine cones, acorns, wooden barrels with dried materials, pumpkins and so on. I used to decorate our home, my art studio as well as our exterior property.
The little dog on the bookshelf look like apiece from. Monopoly. What nice friend.

I want so much to travel the north east, its such a beautiful region.
When I worked for Dillards our visual merchandiser was a friend and she would let me do my thing in my area, mostly I played and posed the Boyd's bear's. When I am thrifting and I find one I have to rescue it. I don't collect bears I rescue them. That's what I tell the hubs anyway.

I have a thing for pine cones as well, I have collected them from the different areas we have lived and when we are been on special vacations. They are here and there in my home and bring back wonderful memories! They all are different from a wide variety of trees!

Loved your video Linda. I have been working on adding fall touches to the inside and outside of my home this week. I like a lot of the same things you do . Autumn is my favorite season. We were lucky this weekend to have some cooler days and nights so that helps motivate me I Picked up mums and pumpkins for the outside and hung my fall wreath on the door. Trying to keep it simple this year went through my things and used my favorites and gave away the rest .I always say this but I absolutely love your home . Have a wonderful weekend.
