I did a larger bosch ic driver today. For anyone struggling, remove the backplate as this will sink all the heat youre putting in. Also, they are glued so when the solder is finally loose, you still have to forcefully yank it. Not fun

I have a bmw module and i boucht another one but from the same car but not a cabrio but the number en is the same but it is fore electric use of the doors and windows and roof ... But the other is not a cabrio si will this work (every litle thing is the same inside ... Please help 🥴😅
I thought exactly the same thing, I wouldn't be surprised if the new chip died from the heat the way it fried on it 🤦🏻♂️ Looks like his day job is a roofer and he used the roofing soldering iron.

It's because I have a Peugeot 206 with the same ECU and the error is P0202 and P0203 and sometimes P0201 but it's not the injectors because I have substituted them. It only gives the error when I flore it rapidly. If I accelerate slowly it does not give the error. I can flore it to the red line and it stays good. It only throws the error is I am on low revs and flore it rapidly. I am puzzled by this because I think that if it was the driver the car would work on 3 cylinders or show some kind of failure and this does not happen. It only happens when I flore it from low revs. Thank you for your video and I will be waiting for your answer. Thanks.

Pro tip: if you dont remove the solder from the pin pads you can get the chip to just drop in place w/ the heat gun. 😜

Eek , that's a lot of aluminum to warm up . I'm guessing that's why you didn't use solder paste underneath ?

Wrong soldering method chosen. Bottom of IC was unsoldered (just ends) and will have problems with heat dissipation.
