  • The ReVox brand is a true staple of high fidelity tape recorders, designed and manufactured by the STUDER company. The A77 has been sold for consumers in the late 1960s and kept in production well into the late 70s with numerous variations. Today we are looking at the MK3 variation, silver front face ReVox A77. It is a true testament to time, and is designed like the panzer of a reel to reel it is. The amplifier A50 is a very nice piece of gear to own, and a delight to listen to. The A76 FM tuner, exceeds the acoustic performance of modern off the shelft FM radios of the time. The reception was sub par due to not having a proper antenna setup.
Please enjoy this wonderful demonstration video.
Speakers used in conjunction with the set : TESLA ARS944 vintage studio monitors - the best kind of studio monitors :)
The speakers have been "miked" in an acoustically treated room, with the AKG C1000 small diaphragm microphones in stereo.
Song used to demonstrate the recorder: Morcheeba - Undress Me Now
The video has been recorded and edited at a local audiovisual studio in Šurany, town of Slovakia. For proffesional inquiries, contact me.

Great by 1970s standards. Between OK and nice today.

The A77 is MKII not MKIII. MKIII has black front panels not silver. Also the High Fidelity logo is missing on MKIII

You make the difference by the visual side of things, during service I found that it has mk3 motors (and they are supposed to be there) and other key technical factors that do indeed prove me the fact that this is a mk3 with mk2 looks
