When it comes to action, fight choreography, & stunt work; Hollywood never allowed Jackie complete control due to insurance policies. In Hong Kong, him & his team were banned by insurance companies. Glad you’re impressed Jackie Chan’s legendary stuntwork.
Even though his work in the Rush Hour series, Rumble in the Bronx and Shanghai Noon made him a household name with Western audiences, you should be aware that Jackie was about 50 years old at tlhe time and well past his prime. If you want to see his craziest stuntwork, you’ll need to go back to his Ho Hong Kong days and check out Driunken Master, Project A, Wheels on Meals, Armour of God, etc.
The stuntwork he does in these films make the stunts in Jackie’s American films look positively ordinary.
Interesting to note, Jackie did try Hollywood BEFORE his Hong Kong success. However, American filmmakers were too frightened to allow the kind of stunts Jackle was suggesting, stunts that would make him famous in the East

I was afraid I wouldn't recognize him but he got off the plane wearing a red, white and blue "All American" jogging suit waving back to the crowd shouting "Jackie!" to him. He spoke almost zero English and had to learn his lines phonetically for this and several other of his early films. "The Tuxedo" (2002) - A fun and imaginative action-comedy.
"Shinjuku Incident" (2009) - A more serious and dramatic role for Jackie Chan.
"Police Story 2013" (a.k.a. "Police Story: Lockdown") - A modern take on the Police Story series.
These are just a few of Jackie Chan's notable movies, and there are many more to explore in his extensive filmography.

19:45 - You're right Amber, Jackie Chan has been in at least 142 films over a course of a 60 year career. You and Jay should check out the following films:
Obviously Rush Hour 2, and Rush Hour 3, but also:
The Legend of the Drunken Master (1994)
    Rumble In The Bronx (1995)
    The Foreigner (2017)
The fight choreography in The Legend of the Drunken Master is top notch, and amazing! Of course, being that the fight and stunt coordinator was legendary, Chia-Liang Liu (brother of other legendary martial arts actor, Gordon Liu), and also stars in the film. There is a man in this film who's kicking/footwork is so darn good, it is like he is boxing with his feet. Incredible!!

Jay, if you like Chris Tucker you may want to see "The Fifth Element" (1997) starring Bruce Willis, Gary Oldman, Mila Jovovich and Chris Tucker plays a very funny crazy character. It's futuristic science fiction with action and some humor.

Jackie Chan is a legend of Martial arts and comedy, and yes he did all his own stunts!
He's been in around 130 movies, many of them B martial arts, but he has also starred with Arnold Schwarzenegger, and was in Shanghai Knights with Owen Wilson (A must watch for your channel). This was his first of 3 Rush Hour movies with Chris Tucker.

Jackie Chan is everything. 💜 He is a producer, director, fight choreographer, actor (in several languages across genres)... and was one of his country's popular singers.
You must watch the credits of any Jackie Chan movies because they show all fight scene bloopers. My favorite movies are "Gorgeous" (a romance with some fighting) and " Drunken Master", a martial arts comedy. Many of his films are dubbed in English so make sure you watch an English version.

Fun fact about c4, shooting it would not set it off. It requires heat and pressure... I had a roommate back in my army days who was special forces. He used to mess with people sitting on bixes of c4 while smoking. People, who didn't know better, would freak out. One officer made him put the cig out so he put it out on the c4 box lol. The officer ran off lol.
