- Join Ashley on his first ever Red Letter fishing session in France whilst he takes on an Angling Lines water that goes by the name of Blue Lake. Within this carp fishing session, Ashley experiences every level of emotion whilst he puts all of his angling knowledge into this lake. With the helping words from the ground shaker (Tom Maker), this sessions turns out to be a trip of a lifetime.
Blue Lake is 15 acres and roughly triangular in shape with swims cut into the tree line. The water is crystal clear and bright blue as it reflects the clear blue skies. Fishing France in such attractive surroundings as this is a rare opportunity. With fish up to a whopping 67lb, it sure is a venue where you can make many fishing memories.
Within this episode Ashley will take you through his experience on Blue Lake, what tactics he used and who helped him along the way such as Roo Abbott, Tom Maker and Taylor.
There will be more content uploaded very soon, diving into the details behind Ashley's tackle, approach and methods used within his fishing. Using OMC components, Mainline bait alongside Willy Worms. The lake is called Blue Lake which is an Angling Lines water, you can find the link to the lake here - www.anglinglin...

Thanks Steven
Great video and some good fish!
We are going out to the lake begging of May, were there many nuisance fish? Won’t take particle of there is. Are the crays a problem? We’ll find our way but any tips would be great so we can be prepared prior to going out there👍🏻
Hi Westie,
Hopefully you have a great time mate!
We had a couple of bream but they weren’t really a problem, and no problem from crays at all. They loved the pineapple wafters on the bottom. Plenty of naturals worked for me such as Willy Worms red maggots 🐳
I wish you the best in your journey, I hope to see you with a big sponsor soon.
Thanks Daniel, I really appreciate that and glad you enjoyed it. I love my fishing and I’m grateful to my sponsors. Cannot complain one bit 🐳
Quality ash. Fishing this lake at end of october. Really looking forward to it. What time of the year was this
Mega place mate, I believe it was November. Mega winter form if you get them feeding! Willy Worms red maggots did it for me, especially in the winter time
Hi mate I have few questions about this lake if you can pm please cheers
Sure, drop me a message on Instagram
@amateurcarper mate
Fished here twice........Could be such a great lake without the amount of discarded end tackle in the swims, rats, the trailers, the sturgeon, the small grass carp and the lumps of concrete in the swim margins . Landed a lovely 52lb Common last trip. My mate landed a 67lb mirror the trip before.
Personally, I think they’ve nailed the lake and if it was just big carp all the way through then it would take the fun, challenge and angling out of it. As to the end tackle, that’s down to anglers not respecting the lake. Great catch on the common and what a mirror! 67lb?! 🐳
