Thank you for showing me how this works! I am going to like this!
About the spare rubber ( silicon? ) feet: they're also good if you go quickly from using it outdoors in dirt to an interior without having to take the time to get a cloth, wipe the dirty feet and maybe miss some of the dirt anyway. As liking it, I'm adding it to my wishlist!
I have had that tripod for a year this month. I love it. Everything on it is silky smooth. I don't use as often as I should. Bob Coats introduced me to that tripod.
Nice job. I like the gimbal versatility.
The center hook may be for adding a sandbag if you have the tripod on a dolly.
Hi Emilie. Only tend to use a tripod and gimbal for video. I use a monopod if necessary when out shooting photos locally or on my overseas trips. Lighter and quicker to use than a tripod. The tripod I have is a Manfrotto usually with a fluid head. Never used a gimbal on my tripod. The levelling system looks good. My fluid head is ball mounted and has a spirit level so do not need to play with the legs which just give the initial levelling 😏😏😊
Hi, unfortunately I made the mistake of purchasing the 9h -9 head, without the tripod. I love the gimbal head, so tried to buy the tripod alone afterwards. As you said, you can’t. I wrote to customer service just to see if there may be a work round. They never replied. I thought this was very poor of them. The quality is really good and equal to any USA products, but the inflexibility of the system purchase policy lets it down. I use a Gitzo series 6 systematic tripod as the legs and have to fit a level base to compensate for the superb leveling feature of the Photopro tripod. Your video was too late for me but good advise for any interested parties. Thank you. TonyH
Yes it is really too bad that one can't buy the tripod separately. It has been quite frustrating and I decided to sell mine and move to another system.
Emilie, I finally got my OM-5! I've also purchased the 60mm Macro lens also becausei like macro photography. I like bicycle touring and needed something to document my adventures. Thank you for being so dedicated to the craft; I'm learning so much from you. Congratulations on your new Om-5...👊🏾✌🏾
That is awesome! Thank you for your kind words and congratulations to on your OM-5 :)
Great video, I will have to be a very good boy for Santa Clause to get that tripod. With the hook use a bungie cord attached to your bag on the ground, so it gives a downward force.
Yes it would
Best gimbal head, smart system
Hi Emilie! Great video. I want one :)
It is a pretty neat tripod :)
I just got the Peak Design ( not the carbon fiber ) that I put a Manfrotto fluid head on. My old Manfrotto is just too bulky as well as heavier then my shoulders can take anymore. Using with a Tamron 150-600 G1 on a D7000 or D610.
I understand that. Peakdesign tripod is very good: So compact and light
Dang I love that tripod! I am so tempted. Can you tell me how you carry it when in the field? Can you strap it to a backpack? Do you use a backpack. This might be a subject for a video.
I actually put it on the market, as I was not using it enough and needed something more flexible. I am now using 3 Legged Things as it is a better fit for my style of photography.
@@EmilieTThank you for telling me that. While I have your attention, can I ask you one thing? You have/had the OM-1 mark II. I would like to know if settings from the OM-1 that have been saved to the computer or phone can be loaded into the new OM-1 mark II?
@@EmilieT Did you sell it already?
@@user-zz7cv4dh2q It is still for sell on facebook market
Looks like a very versatile head.
Can you fit an Olympus body to the lens foot clamp or do you have to use the side mount and an L Bracket to use a lens without a foot?
thanks Emilie, i like the gimble, but do you think it can stand the humidity and heat of Jeddah here on the Red sea. i mostly leav my tripod on the hide, and the best time for birds here is Aug-Oct and this is the leak of humidity.
I don't see why it wouldn't. But you should contact them directly and ask. They have a very good consumer support in my experience.
good job!
Thanks!
Hello Emilie, tihs is a great video! I have just received the E7L too. I have a question about the pan function. When I open the small knob (13:25) and try to build up some resistance with the large locking knob, the pan moves jerkily. I can feel very light the steps like with the small button. Is this normal or should there be no stepped resistance at all? In general, do I have the option of setting the resistance as I wish?
With the small knob, you should be able to set the resistance you want.
Hi Emilie, great videos. Is the the gimbal head removable to put a ball head on?
Yes it is removable
What is the cost of this tripod?
$1,299 right now.
