Yo. Still not dead.
I recorded this as part of a demo of a Yamaha RA100 rotary amplifier that my father repaired recently, in which I recorded a bunch of riffs that either originally used or sounded good with a rotary speaker. Everything in this cover (except for the drums obviously) were recorded using the rotary speaker. Maybe at some point in the future I'll record a full-length cover of this with synths and vocals, idk ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@@CarefreeMan Incorrect, the tape wasn’t in the wreck. That was just something the producer said. Yuri actually brought the tapes back to Leningrad the day before. There actually is no solid evidence that proved there even was a wreck, no photos or documentation in either English or Russian on the web.

what are the amp settings and effect pedals you used? I love this tone!!!
I can't remember the amp settings, but the majority of the sound is from the fact that its a rotary speaker creating that effect. The only pedals I used was a distortion (Boss DS-1), compressor (MXR Dyna Comp Mini) and delay (TC Electronic Flashback X4) during the solo.
