- I play a Magic: the Gathering Online Legacy league with a Dimir Tempo decklist that's really more of a Dimir Menace deck. Grief, Murktide Regent, Brazen Borrow, Stalactite Stalker... these creatures are difficult to block and get your opponent dead fast. If you like tempo / Delver decks, this one is very strong and easily went 5-0 / undefeated and grabbed a trophy. If it's this good in my hands, how good is it in the hands of a Delver master?! The UB / Dimir Scam package, once again, is confirmed good.

Kegs are so you can hit artifact lands, which is relevant in a surprising number of matches. Dystopia is also for Beans decks, since it reverses Leylines and clears away Beans, Carpet, and Uro. Happy you liked the deck!
Dystopia is so fucking savage I had to take it out of my momo black commander deck. It just absolutely crushes people for how little of cost it has.
Your content has gotten a lot better and I enjoy listening in the morning either as a semi-background thing or paying close attention (usually given my interest in the deck and my own personal busy life). Keep up the good work and good luck in 2024.

My gut reaction when seeing Stalactite Stalker was that it's effectively a black Delver/DRC adjacent threat. Honestly kind of shocked it's not seeing more Legacy play.
Exactly, It also seems to have fewer deckbuilding restrictions. 11 lands that enable it by default as well as Grief + Troll which are already very powerful on their own.

I don't usually play a ton of magic, life has been busy, but when I do I feel like a play so much better due to all the fundamentals I've learned from Phil, either here on on Eternal Glory. My limited play has gotten better, and I've been crushing in Timeless on Arena lately.

Your videos are my favorite because of how clearly you speak, you do not over emote, and you swear.
Getting some bits of life advice with great gameplay is what I come here for. I loved the one video with no gameplay, just bits of knowledge about preparing in mtg paralleled to setting goals in life. Fantastic content, building a positive community and making a life out of showcasing the game you love must be really cool, I admire Phill and I'm happy to see the amount of positive interaction from the community, it counts more than just having a larger number of subscribers.
Before I watch the video, you mention that descended works from the stack as well, this means if I cast a permanent and it gets countered descended actually works? This deck looks fun!

Hey Phil, while we're being sentimental, I started playing Magic sometime in 1998. Long long time ago. I don't really play anymore and largely fell out of love with the game but there's that little bit of nostalgia I will probably always carry with me. I found your channel this year and I've enjoyed every video. While I don't enjoy playing the game as much, I always enjoy watching you play it, listening to you talk about it, and keeping that little bit of nostalgic love alive.

Yes, the quality has improved since I first watched you, and you are my no. 2 favorite streamer :-) (I watch between 10-15 streamers on occasions) Thank you for your work and for having fun with magic. I would like to ask for a little more competitive decks. I a little too often skip/fast forward through the jank. At first I enjoyed it, but it becomes kind of the same when you have watched magic on youtube for 3 years, and would like to see competitive decks / ideas for your own play.

Wasteland into growing 3 stalkers is such BM, card is surprisingly good. It almost came up in one game of the last match, but you could’ve swinged for damage and then shrink the murktide with stalker’s ability to live, but you still didn’t had enough damage to kill on the crackback iirc. Still, card is funky.

I was thinking about playing it in vial goblins with bombardiers. It seems like it would be good
Stalactite Stalker seemed fine, but I'm unsure how much better than Delver it was, if at all.
From this league, it seems to "flip" more reliably than Delver, and has attached removal *sometimes*, but menace not being flying was relevant. It seems comparable to Delver, but probably not as good as DRC.

25:50 if OP had a beseech in board they could have 2x beseech into Warrens and gotten an extra 6-8 goblins and that would have probably been enough to get ya? Also you didn't make a mistake at 59:03 you had to play land for turn to play the ponder.
I think the mistake was in the ponder ordering, he could've drawn stalker instead of wasteland.
Does play into Daze though so it's not like, 100% a mistake
