Thanks for sharing Cy, glad to hear Dart's getting better. I really like the chain hooks you've got on the bucket, may have to think of doing that myself, esp. as at the moment to attach a pulling or lifting chain I wrap the chain around the middle of the bucket, and back onto itself to hook it, and it always, without fail comes undone. I like how yours works.

Keep on cutting! Besides keeping you in shape it also keeps you out of the house and away from the "honey do" list. LOL, now my secret is out and have to cut as much as she thinks I cut or she'll put me to work for sure now!

Hope Dart is even better now. Got the chance to run a brand new G288 in the oak logs I got in. Man that thing can cut with break-in carb tune. Sure is thirsty though when it cuts the big wood! But in exchange for that thirst it didn't bog at all in 20in oak. Am tempted to get one myself for a big wood saw.

Glad to see you back. And to hear your dogs getting better. We just lost a ferret. It's never easy. We are down to 3 now. All rehomes or rescues. We where up to 8 for a while.
Surprisingly Rocky does good with them. He looks more confused then anything when we let them all out together. Supervised of course.

Dude Ferrets are awesome. Never had one myself but have had several friends that have and they were fun critters to spend time with. I am sorry for your loss of the little one but glad you are a ferret dad. Thank you for being an animal friend.

Hold on to your hat. You may have more trees to harvest. Bad weather coming your way

Glad to hear your little guy is doing better.
You said you are going to mill some of the logs.
What about the nails/screws from the tree house?
I’ve often wondered how deep a metal detector would
detect a nail in a log?
Has anybody tried this, and how did it work?

The Boards held to those trees were held with lag bolts. I am hoping to be able to un-screw them and saw them after that. Of course there is a chance there are nails or screws as well that I will not see, but fingers crossed. I do Have around 12 blades for my bandsaw, so hopefully I don't hit more than that LOL.

Steve and I just bought a piece of land in la cyna. It needs clearing and it's in the tanglewood hoa neighborhood. We're looking to put up a tiny cabin. For our weekend getaways. (We meet at camp).
