I just got a Big Sexy 7'11 extra heavy and used it this weekend. It was Awesome!!! I also have a Sick Stick medium heavy great for raddle traps ect... and of course the Balance Rod!
Scott I live near Lake Toho but was always a little scared to fish it in a Kayak. I went out there Saturday and struggled royally. Then a gentleman in a Bass Boat hollered at me and said come over here they are gulping shad a few feet down. I watched this guy catch 4o fish with a shad jerk bait. Unfortunately I dont fish jerk baits so I did have any shad color hard baits. I got off the water at 1 pm ran to Bass Pro and grabbed about 10 different shad style baits. Anyway where your sun block brother, you rock !
I'm hoping to get out to the Indy Boat Sport & Travel show on Sunday. Was planning on Saturday but, even though it is supposed to be raining, the temps are going to be up. My son called and said we are going fishing, so...I'm going fishing

Good advice. I'm a lifelong Florida bass fisherman, but years ago I actually placed 2nd in a tournament in Michigan believe it or not by finding that "one spot" you mentioned. I'd never even fished in that state before. Your strategy works.

We used a version similar to Lure Lock in the communications world so we would not loose or damage things, great concept, I use StarTron on all my gear around the house.

I agree with the post below. You didn't do anything wrong. I watch your videos for several reasons. They are all about what I love to do and that's fish. I love the camera work by Brandon. I love your knowledge you share about fishing. I love your family and I've never even met them. I love your positive outlook on life and it helps me get out of my depression. So, I don't think you did anything wrong. You help me and that's a good thing.
Those favorite Rod's are freaking beef sticks, they look a little stiff compared to the parabolics some rod companies have, I have a big sexy LFG signature series but I only use it for a spinner bait rod because I'm unsure of the sensitivity of it yet. Hopefully you'll cover some of the favorite Rod's that possess this characteristic because I'd like to give some of their Rod's a try (buy) and I'm just not seeing the parabolics like my duckett's or even the okuma that you used to fish with. I agree affordability is nice and maybe a big portion of alot of today's RUclipsrs followers are younger and can't afford higher end Rod's, but sensitivity and action are important too. Btw just because you pay more doesn't always mean your getting a better quality,I give 229.99 for my big sexy and probably won't ever have a Texas rig on that rod. Look forward to more content.

Ok, so i got a couple of points to make. I was so surprised when you left Toho after catching a huge bag on Day 1. You left great water, and chased EVERYONE else else to gorilla fish in the shallow area of Kissimmee. I could not understand why you deviated from good water and chased everyone else. 2nd and more importantly, Ive watched everyone of your videos and BY FAR the most enjoyable videos of when your out with the family and friends just enjoying yourself. You're are a completely different person on tournament days. WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO GET STRESSED ABOUT ?? You have an awesome family, supportive fans and a great father. Enjoy yourself. Win, Lose or draw your an incredibly successful angler and may people look up to you. You've got enough money in the bank that you don't have much to worry about. The best and most precious thing is your health and that of your family. Everything else is small potatoes. Let one of your kids get sick and all that stuff your chasing disappears........remember to have fun Scott.
Scott, love you brother. You and Brandonette have brought all of us much information, enjoyment and most of all insight on how a pro lives. I realize not all pros are living as Phat!! My Dad grew up In FL and has stage 4c Melanoma that has metastisized to the heart liver and lungs. Started as a couple spots on his neck he needed to get cut out and subsequently has turned into what we thought was a 2 year death sentence but the treatment has been spot on and he is a 10% er living pretty damn good 5 years on . To anyone that has Melanoma get your ass to MD Anderson in Houston....incredible staff and facility. No waiting weeks for this or weeks for that it is intense. Anyway, the only reason I mention this is I can only imagine how much your family loves you and would not want to lose you. Get to a dermatologist and get your body scanned...it can lurk between your toes for Lord’s sake. Sunscreen/columbia PFG long sleeves, larger hats, facemasks...take care brother!!!

About the lure lock thing, y dont they just put small magnets in the bottom of it to keep it all in there?
I have that same Lure Lock box and it's freaking sweet!
Does it get any rust in it from hooks? If so does it damage the sticky stuff that helps hold in the hooks in place when it's washed out with chems.
