To be honest, when I first heard this song, I fucking cried. Slash the fact that you are able to touch people through the music is my motivation to keep practicing!
I'm a 14 year old but Slash has been my inspiration ever since I started guitar. When I feel down, I listen to guns n roses and I've been to every guns n roses concert I could get to, I've gotten a Les Paul because of Slash and he's pretty much my everything.

In this song you can totally tell its Slash's style mixed with a bit of Maroon 5's sound. That's true, I believe Slash wrote the songs with the singers in mind, who then arrived and wrote lyrics (although I think Slash helped with the lyrics on a few songs)

Definitely not the greatest, but I'm glad to see young girls liking this music style, most of teenagers now only listen to the latest non musical "porn" music videos, and think they're the coolest when listening to the newest beats that get old in a boring way in few months.

I just came here to say, this song always tears something up in me. That Cello... just pure perfection, if you wanted to weave a carpet of emotion, you archived it man. I can't help myself, but flow and lose myself in the rhythm and melody, I'm truly amazed every time, even after all those years, since the album was released. I lost my "love" and fell into a heavy addiction... took 5 years for me to realise that I'm worth it, I'm not the person I used to be. What makes this song so special is the dystopian mix of the good and the bad. A school teacher picking up a young girl amidst marked exam sheets (can things get more terrible than this...), a young girl forced to earn some money by selling her body, a caring mother anxious about her daugher's safety, a caring daughter ditto for her mother and the gunshot. And always, the guitar of Slash, asking questions. Terrific and terrible video. Slash, you really are THE VERY BEST.

Definitely not the greatest, but I'm glad to see young girls liking this music style, most of teenagers now only listen to the latest non musical "porn" music videos, and think they're the coolest when listening to the newest beats that get old in a boring way in few months.

This song feels like someone who loves an addict, and remembers them for how they used to be... wishing that they would come back. I lost my "love" and fell into a heavy addiction... took 5 years for me to realise that I'm worth it, I'm not the person I used to be. I lost a lot, but it doesn't mean I can't build something else that's beautiful. I'm not 1.5 years sober and going to help others with their issues. Love you all, don't give up. A school teacher picking up a young girl amidst marked exam sheets (can things get more terrible than this...), a young girl forced to earn some money by selling her body, a caring mother anxious about her daugher's safety, a caring daughter ditto for her mother and the gunshot.
