2024 and still can't get over this masterpiece, it's almost 5 a.m. here in Italy, I have been listening to this song continously for 7 years specially when I'm overwhelmed!

2024 and this has been such an inspirational song for me.... I could listen to it constantly all day....
It has a specific meaning for me about 3 years I had 3 blood clots in my brain and required surgery.... And I was only 44 at the time ... Was told I didn't have much chance... Came through the lot... Although I had a beautiful pooch since "Geordie" was a puppy and was 5 ... And I couldn't cope so had to re-home him... I have to admit going through all that ...I felt totally lost.... "Lost Stars"
A year on if I think about bad times or even now I think about my best friend my pooch .."Geordie" I just think I'm blessed I'm alive and pray "Geordie" is happy.... 🤗👌
This song feels like laying down in a grassy field underneath the starry night sky with your best of friends. Like that night before all of you part ways. College days are over and all of you are adults now, and you all have your own lives and it's time to say goodbye but yall know that the bond will still be forever rooted in all of your hearts. That's the vibe I'm getting with this song and I love it so much, the exact definition of melancholy.

Gregg Alexander wrote one HELL of a song and Adam Levine delivers it perfectly. What a team! Alexander has a way of writing very winsome songs that pull at our inner natures and reminds us of something ephemeral. Adam’s vocals elevate the song to an almost ethereal plane.

The first time I watched this movie I didn't pay much attention to the story
but after watching it again, hearing him say "please don't see just a boy caught up in dreams and fantasies" is heartbreaking
he's trying to redeem himself from the shallow person his ex sees him as, he knows he lost her forever but he also knows he has to change, that's how the relationships in real-life work, there are no good guys and bad guys in relationship, just two people parting ways and leveling up thanks to it
...except the girl he lost was the one who penned the lyrics

This song is the reason why I love Begin Again so much. I'd always liked Maroon 5, but only after crying so much when hearing this have I fell in love with Adam. Everytime I need to calm myself down or get rid of negative thoughts or just simply feel lonely, I always come back for this song. And this is the only song which I've never ever deleted. I don't even know why, but gosh I love this song so much that I can't describe how much thankful I am for the songwritter and Adam.

Most of the big pop band people do not write their own music they get it written by people behind the scenes and get the credit and writers get a pay out and maybe part of royalties. Gregg Alexander wrote this. He recorded it and hasn't really released anything official under his name or the New Radicals since he stepped away from the main light after that bands one album in the 90s. And if you listen to that album as often as I do and then this song there's no doubt this is a Gregg song through and through

This movie absolutely blew me away. I’ll never forget how amazed I was the first time watching it realizing not only was the story powerful and super relatable since I myself am a musician and felt exactly like she did most the movie… But even more impressive was the quality of every song. I would have been totally happy and content if even just half of the songs were really good because after all it’s a tall task to make all new songs for a movie and have the movie be good and the songs. Instantly became one of my favorite movies ever with original songs. My favorite of all time is Swiss Army Man. The songs written for the movie go with the scenes in such a precise way it’s as if they were mixed in the same batter of love light and beautiful musical frequencies and merely just separated so they could each do a job. The music is synergized perfect to the film. The movie Begin Again Gave me that same feeling and boy was my soul grateful. That’s an impressive feat synergizing the two in perfect harmony. As if there was only 1 other puzzle piece that could complete the puzzle and they managed to find it. Highly recommend Begin Again and definitely check out Swiss Army Man. It starts out pretty goofy and weird but don’t let that fool you it’s packs a punch and has some power behind it. Paul Dano just annihilates the part(has he ever not done that?). Personally I think it’s One of his best performances of his entire career but most people would point to other roles in bigger movies which is fair and understandable(like Prisoners or There Will Be Blood-career defining performance matching Daniel Day Lewis 111%).
Another film on par with those two is Crazy Heart. Jeff Bridges you talented sum b! Hard to Watch as they show the nastiness behind being an alcoholic pretty damn accurately for a movie. I can attest I watched my dad do it for much of my life. Huge uplifting pay off at the end of the film though that will warm all the phalanges of your soul. “ it’s funny how falling feels like flying, for a little while”
A Star Is Born, La La Land, 8 Mile, Frank Once, Scott Pilgrim VS The World, Inside Llewelyn Davis, Oh Brother Where Art Thou, School of Rock all absolutely fantastic. Shoot even The Tenacious D Pick Of Destiny movie had awesome songs that were well written albeit most of them goofy. Jack Black is a hell of a performer ya can’t deny that. Almost forgot to put Get Him To The Greek on here. Absolutely hilarious and the songs are pretty well written and catchy considering they’re not trying to be super serious. That’s not a complete list so I hope no one feels the need to bash on it. I’m a musician and a huge movie buff so the list would be outrageously long and Some of the obvious ones that most people would put on their list I left out. . If this comment gets even just 1 single person to check out some of the films that’s a huge W for me. Stay golden all you beautiful people and don’t be shy let your light shine

*And*.... i was expecting for Keira and mark to get along in the end but there then builds hope for keira and Adam, for me it was an exceptionally outstanding movie. the buildup for the movie story was slow in the beggining, its okay halfwaythrough but the ending was a twist of the twist

The day this song came out I remembered, I was lonely without having anyone to hold my back I was in soo sad. Then after two months I found my 1st love. Gone all the pain I had. Lived a Happy life with her. Then again After loosing her, I'm back to my sad lonely world again. Now this is hurts more than previous. But now that memories are the fuel to my life.
