I’m going to really enjoy this series Chris. I remember Amos Otis as an excellent center fielder for those great eighties Royals teams. Thanks for sharing your knowledge about Donaldson. How cool he’s from your town. I’m loving that you’ve got Reggie Smith on your list. He was a great player and his rookie year impact on The Impossible Dream 1967 Red Sox team is not appreciated enough. 💪🏾
Awesome video, Chris! I can't wait to hear your stories of the of these guys. I'd heard of Amis Otis, but I didn't realize he was that good. Thanks for sharing!
Pete Rose. 1)NOT in the HOF. 2)Great at several positions. 3)Rookie card pre-1980. Now that Pete is gone (RIP), do you think he will get in the HOF? His ban was a "lifetime" penalty which he served...will he qualify, now? Pete Rose NOT in the HOF is as questionable as Nolan Ryan NOT winning the '73 AL Cy Young Award. Love your content. I've watched ALL your videos since the 1st one posted including Showcase Showdown episodes. Your collection is incredible, the way you collect is admirable, and who you collect is vast and educational. The humble presentation you provide keeps me interested for every episode & reminds me to stay patient when searching for individual cards. Please Chris, stay doing what your doing. It has inspired and helped keep me interested in a hobby I love. Thank you.
I love it! I've thought about doing the same kinda thing as the HOFers get so much of the attention. There were some other pretty good players that deserve some air time.
Hi Chris. Lifetime Red Sox fan but favorite player is George Brett so I followed the Royals very closely from 1976 to 1990. Loved Amos Otis. Without checking any stats and off top of my head, SS Jack Glasscock from the 1880’s,
Hi Chris. I am looking forward to this series. Great story about John Donaldson and I agree that Amos Otis was a great player and he had an awesome career with the Royals.
Chris - I love that you featured John Donaldson. I have been following the Facebook group for years, the work they’ve done to get him recognized is outstanding and I am so happy he has a shot at the Hall. Well done! Will you be posting this in the group?
The problem with John Donaldson, in my mind, is that his Negro League stats are minimal....and that's what we base HOF worthy players from that era on. Barnstorming, and other leagues don't really count (at least yet). If that were the case, then there's probably several players on the bubble that played MLB, and also barnstormed. Those extra stats could help them too. With that said, I really like that you're doing this series, Chris. Makes for some fun debates. Keep up the great work.
Chris i got a question,,,i mostly have every set from 51 to 92 all bb topps and most opc bb sets, also i have every hockey set from 1933 to 93 opc hk ând i also have about 100 non sports sets and 1 have some bk sets 61-62fleer my favorite and i have a 55 topps tv...my question is what can i do to enjoy my collection without having the money cards in 2 gunsafes arent you scared getting robbed? @@greatnorthern706 I would love for them to see unsure if they would want to. Could you share a link to it with them?
Vada Pinson - a true 5-tool player. I'm 53, and have been promoting him since I was 16 years old.
As a Tiger fan growing up, I am very familiar with Amos Otis. He was a very very good ball player.

I do not think he belongs in the Hall. For the sake of my town I hope he gets in

Just to say chris one of the best firstbaseman in the 80's and 90's was andres galaraga
Question on Joe Torre. Is it because he went in the HOF as a manager that you are including him?
iT IS BECAUSE HE DID NOT GO IN AS A PLAYER
Roger Maris
