    I did that with a tabletop years ago (with the ts55) and was amazed at how well it worked.

    2 questions? 1) is that a sacrificial surface u cut into? 2) Why didn't u make the parallel cut on the table saw? It seems like you would be introducing potential errors using a track saw on the 2nd cut?

      He flipped the boards over on the second cut, so any out of squareness to the cut gets cancelled by the joining piece.

    I know I’m not the only woodworker out there that intentionally avoids watching this guys videos because he only uses Festool. Don’t get me wrong, if I had spare 100,000 laying around I’d probably buy every tool in their catalog. But I’d make sure nobody saw me using them 😊

    You picked the planks up then rolled them in mid air. Would have been less effort just to roll them over towards you on the table

    Makes me feel better he cut the sacrificial table underneath. Had he not... not sure I could handle that level of excellence in others today.

    I have the same one, don’t use it much, but all of the sudden, it stop working . I thought Festool is the best, last longer other brands

      He did cut his workbench. But it has a replaceable MDF top that he can swap out when it's too messed up.

    Now with the fresh wood exposed you can glue them up (unless you're going to "peg" them)

      I agree,i tried this with white oak and the seams werent great..i had to give the peices a pass on the jointer.
