My first foray into the world of Jig Flies and Pike. Only had an hour to spare but managed to catch. I'm hooked, such a lovely easy easy, mobile way to catch Pike.

Thanks for the mention, i am honoured, thats one of my favourite flies, i tend just to clip the spinning weights on the clip now and let it hang down, easier to take on and off.

Hi there, great video but can I ask you what rod you are using as I'm thinking of trying the jig flies myself, any help would be appreciated. Thanks
It’s an old rod from Savage Gear. I would go for a rod rated to about 60-70gr baitcaster or spinning rod, whichever is your preference. You can use your usual pike rod but it’s harder to cast them

Hi, suggest you remove the link to flies 4 preds. Don't know what the issue is, but he is taking orders via the website, but then not fulfilling them and ignoring all attempts to contact him. I only ordered a couple of flies, so haven't got stung too badly, but it is money that I probably won't get back. Cheers, Ian.
