Thank you so much for this tutorial! I am a beginner sewist and I need to make buttonholes for my first blouse. I have made buttonholes on scrap fabric, but couldn't work out how to get them in the correct place on the garment, according to the pattern guide. The instruction book of my machine didn't offer any clues, either. Your tutorial has saved the day, many thanks.
The buttonhole foot has been a lifesaver for me. My machine has the option of also doing buttonholes without the buttonhole attachment - sort of a "free-hand" type of thing. I can NEVER make those work or look decent. They are always crooked and always mess up the fabric. lol....what a nightmare!
