Dude, do you even sleep? I will be honest here: I barely ever care for costum cards, as they possibly almost never make it into the actual game. But holy smokes, I couldn´t stop watching this next masterpiece. The cards are so well balanced and my deck-builder-senses god tickled multiple times over this 20 minutes. Pretty sure you´re going places, buddy :)

Simply genius! You show, that you not only know the theory of how the card games and particularly Legends of Runeterra work. And that you not only know the champions in the universe, how they work and what makes their identity. But also the lore of the world they are in. As for the video itself, it was interesting, engaging, funny and well edited. Those card designs are amazing and your thought process makes a lot of sense. Also, all hail Corvus, the best card in the game! Also, the Abyssal Colossus is a pretty underwhelming card. It's weak, because it gets hard countered by most op meta cards like Sunk Cost. I remember creating my version of Fiddlesticks couple months ago I was trying to balance Fiddlesticks' sudden appearance and carnage it does in LoL with its lore of having effigies scattered around Runeterra and spreading fear to feast and some swarming potential on top of it (multyple effigies at same place seem scary, or rather multyple Fiddlesticks on the board) I was intending to later add followers and other support, I was thinking something like swarm, buffing Fearsomes and debuffing enemies, but I didn't have any good ideas for it unfortunatly But damn your version is scary as... well scary as Fiddlesticks, every time I play and my opponent swarms the whole board eith units and units and units I just pray I survive and top deck a card that can save me and this version of Fiddlesticks does just that I really hope Fiddlesticks gets added at some point, I see a lot of people constantly creating their versions what means only one thing: we want Fiddlesticks in LoR Rito!
In my head i saw malzahar being a lurk support card, considering hes a prophet of the void and all that. This is a super cool concept tho! I think im just grasping for more lurk cards to diversify that archetype. Same with deep…i really want illaoi to be deep support
Wow, that is amazing, the creativity and the effort put on this decks is just *chef's kiss the only thing i would add is a way to summon Maiden of the Mist with Yorick leveling up maybe or being Yorick's spell
Yorick is my favorite champ and np bias but this is my favorite custom concept I've seen for him yet lol. This whole set is really well thought out n' creative. The fact that you tied Fidd to Demacia AND made him work flavor n' gameplay wise is super cool. I'm blown away, I don't care about balance this rocks lmao
Unlike most custom cards Ive seen so far (mostly reddit) most of the cards actually felt like something Riot would print. They would fit nicely in the game.Very good job.!
Those ideas for Fiddle, Yorick and Malza were absurdly perfect! I love how fun those cards are and also how they synergize with existing cards. My only critique to these decks is that they do swarm the deck constantly, focusing in the late game with burst and high power, while also giving chump blocks to you in the early game. Sunny did say that he's not focusing on balancing in this video and do preffer it this way just for admiring how flavorful it is.
Yorick is my most played champ and Fiddlesticks was the champ that got me I to the game. You literally took my two favorite champs and threw them in a deck together. I love you
Iunno how I feel about Fiddlesticks having cultists, to be honest. For literally any other demon (especially Evelynn), then yeah, it makes sense. But Fiddlesticks has returned to Runeterra so recently and so subtly, it's basically just a rural legend, a monster terrorizing *isolated* communities and living almost no survivors, so I can't imagine that anyone would KNOW about it, to want to worship it. Maybe I'm just overly picky; Goff's vocal performance and the reworked Fiddle lore were what got me interested in LoL and LoR in the first place. With that being said, we definitely need support like that, cards that synergize with the "unit cheat" mechanic. If it's boosting its own stats, I imagine that it might be like other synergy cards (Greenblade Caretaker), that gain +2/+0 each time, or something that buffs the cheated units (like Soul Shepherd for Ephemeral). I'm really excited to play with mechanics... I'll probably be making a ton of Fiddlesticks cards, ngl.
Burst speed Feel The Rush !!!! I haven't watch everything yet but I wanted to comment that. Also, I'm usually pretty harsh on custom cards, but your idea for Fiddlestick is awesome. One of the best custom cards I've ever seen. I can't wait to see the rest of the set *gets back to watching*
The fiddlesticks we know is the one from Demacia however its theorized that there are multiple fiddlesticks around all of Runeterra. This is shown in his skins ie. Fiddle Me Timbers is Bilgewater, and Union Jack is piltover, even Spectral Fiddle is shadow islands. I love how you created fiddle and I completely agree with this version of fiddlesticks and think it should be added to LOR.
interesting take on fiddlesticks when I theorycrafted fiddlesticks I did it as a reverse jarvan where if the enemy attacks with 2 or more units while fiddlesticks is in your hand, he'll automatically be summoned and deal a ton of damage to all attacking units. Then, his level up being based on him killing at least 3 units. His level 2 silences all enemies until the end of turn when he attacks and finally his spell will summon two ethereal copies of an ally unit, except the animation obscures which one is which to the enemy, and it deals no damage

I actually did my own fiddle concept for myself a while ago. It turned out almost exactly identical to your concept, but instead of the whole burst speed thing, I made it so ephemeral allies don’t expire when the round ends. Then I created some spells that create some effigies, and boom. Ya got a shadow isles/Demacia champion that synergizes with ephemeral
The moment you scrolled to Shurima I thought "MALZ?!" I would love to see Malz and Vel'Koz in Runeterra. The Fiddlesticks concept is pretty sick, not gonna lie. :D
i am in LOVE with these cards!! this seems like a deck i would play so much, and the possibilities for region combinations, or even just playing a fiddlesticks yorick deck seem endless. so cool!!!
I think a really cool idea for the crowstorm is to make it fiddlestick’s champion spell and instead it summons an attacking fiddlesticks and 5 crows, then all allies get a +3/+0 buff for the round. It would make some cards that rely on summoning units get massive stats and be quite literally the ultimate jumpscare
I really love these concepts! The way that you introduced your cards were just perfect, tying them to their lore and mechanics from league. I think that Fiddlesticks' champion spell should be called 'Dark Wind' as an homage to his old e. Also with the Yorick package it seems that you would run out of board space before you could execute your game plan, but I guess that we would need to see it play out to judge that. All in all I loved this video, please make more of those!
In all honestly, I'm half-tempted to design level-up animations, but I have no animating skills so the best I could do is storyboarding/descriptions. As for my favorite, you managed to choose the first three champions I ever bought in LoL so you've put me in an impossible position in choosibe between my babies. That said, the one I adored the most was honestly Malzahar. Not only is this the best interpretation of him that I've seen for LoR, but it also combines many of the disparate mechanics in Shurima to make something that is both quintessentially of that region but also *deliciously* in-flavor for Malz and some specific off-meta builds he used to be able to pull off before and after his rework... That aside, the only thing missing is a spell that allows him to silcence or Quicksand all backrow units and we'd be PERFECTION!!!
Super cool ideas you got there. I would have liked Fiddel to be simmilat to Jarvan (jumping out of your hand) but your minion swarm sounds scary too. Great work.
i don't really play any of these regions that much. But all of these cards look amazing. I especially like the idea of Fiddlesticks and Yorick combo, terrifying shadow beasts, and ehm... terrifying murderous crows.
Malzahar is great but having giving multiple keywords to swarm is just strong. Look at pantheon and all the other cards that have a load of keywords. Those are single cards. Maybe adapting with swarm is better to have cards remove all keywords from all allied voidlings and give them X (where X is an random keyword chosen of 3). So all voidlings have that keyword but not more to the others of the swarm. And you can change them mid game from swarming quick attackers to overwhelm. And the idea is nice to have units attack when you have an full board but this should not be considered "an attack". (I don't want the azirellia Meta back). And the swarm idea is just nice. Love those types of decks. Even in mtg.
Imagine play fiddlesticks with aphelios. Cresendum spell can leveling up fiddle since it can play lower cost unit, and all moon weapons spell become burst spell, so it can't be denied and it makes aphelios easier to level up. I think they can make a good combo

The big problem I see with Fiddle/Yorick archetype is a board space. With these 2 on the board, you only have 4 more spaces, which (with Yorick's copy effect) makes spell like Crowstorm kind of a waste. However, in general I love the idea, you put on some great work there! Especially these small units (e.g. Tombstone Holder) does it for me :)
I think it would be better if fiddlesticks was a runeterra champion since in his lore it says that every region has a different definition of what he is, and he is technically everywhere, so if it makes it into the game, it would be a origin champion. But, to be fair, the video was made before that new runeterra champions were released so nevermind.
my idea for fiddlesticks would be a lurker that summons himself to the board with a bunch of 1/1 ephemeral crows that can exceed the unit limit, when leveled up he gives all attacking units fearsome. Also, when he is summoned he creates a 0 cost effigy with his stats in hand, to summon the effigy you must return an ally to the top of the deck
I've seen 3 minutes but I have to say my idea for fiddlesticks. Basically whenever your opponents attacks you can summon fiddlesticks, draining X (X being sticks atk) to everyone. He's attack would be unique as well, where he actually is slow letting other attack first but if not killed he drains the unit's health and replenishes his own. If fiddlesticks drains from 6 units he evolves. Uhhh-.... I haven't put to much thought but something like every time he blocks he drains from everyone. This would capture fiddlesticks so well in LoR that anything not similar would disappoint me slightly (of very depending on how weak he would be...)

That void landmark would make arise! an actually decent card, letting you activate azir/dais and drawing a ton. That is the standout card in this video, no questions asked. I have a hard time picking favorites, but I can easily pick the opposite - Yorick. His package seems like it's too slow and unreliable, relying on opponent more than yourself, and unless there's some fun animations i doubt it would even be a meme deck.
To be honest i love this design, as they have high flexibility, and are pretty decent and playable without relying on the second region, while each having their own unique take on it, and every combo, any two of the three doing different things together, i think all champion cards should be designed like this Not like lurk, darkness, deep and you could argue other things, where the decks are pretty much pre built and limited and lack freedom, only changing a card or two, i can't imagine playing pyke or reksai outside of lurk except in 10% winrate decks, i believe all champs like this should be reworked
Nah, a couple prebuilt archetypes are needed in every card game. They are the few decks that will never change too much, so it’s always easy to tell if the meta is good for said decks.
Adore the Fiddlesticks design. To be fair they are all really really cool, but I do love the stickboi and to place him in Demacia is a really nice touch! I really hope he gets added

The only problem is thar Riot will never allow for direct damage at burst speed, except for that this video was great! Look forward to new awesome ideas
I'm already imagining a hecarim/fiddlesticks ephemeral deck. Shark Chariots could potentially speed up fid's level up condition, aswell as camavoran soldier. I could see viego, thresh, and kalista fitting in nicely if wanted. If only we could have 3 regions, I could throw fiddle into my sion/hecarim discard/ephemeral deck and have the deck of my dreams..
I think there's a different way Fiddle should be done. Your idea is cool, but in my opinion, it didn't replicate the jumpscare-y feel. So here's my take: Certain spells and units from Fiddle's expansion summon Scarecrows - one health, zero attack cards. When Fiddle is summoned, he appears to be a scarecrow too. If you attack a scarecrow or an un-leveled Fiddle, it dies. But if 3 effigies are destroyed, Fiddle secretly levels up. This seemingly changes nothing. But if Fiddle is attacked after he levels up, he jumpscares all the enemies. No warning, no buildup animation, but a full out jumpscare happens just as the effigy Fiddle is posing as is about to get struck, his level up animation plays, and gives the enemy a heart attack. He gives all allies Quick Attack and Fearsome from the moment he levels up until he's killed.
This is actually plausible and I really want it to be a part of the game. It's methodical, lore friendly and the champs makes sense to pair with earlier champs. like malz and zilean, fiddlesticks and azir, or irelia, fiddle with misfortune or lucian, malz with ekko, malz with lux
balance suggestion, even tho its a fan card only.Fiddlesticks lvl up requirement from 8 to 6.His card package are mostly slow spells, plus, fiddlesticks could be easily killed by spells.
The balance is sometimes off as youve sad, but the creativity and innovative execution makes this set incredible. I realy love Fiddles idea and Malzahars lvl 2 is brilliant
I love that fiddlesticks package. I like the idea of going super wide before your opponent can react to overwhelm them. I think the only other option for this at the moment is elnuks and they're just way too inconsistent to be fun to use.
You really like the summon units with spells! Although the cards look cool, I do not think that releasing 3 really similar cards is going to lead to player retention as it is more likely that players will leave due to the lack of diversity. Good expansions like the bilge water one create multiple different playstyles that appeal to a greater variety of players. I could definitely see this as a part of a large expansion but not as a mini 3 champion expansion
Beforr zoe was released i tought that she will some how able to summon trought her portals all the cards that has a portal drawing (targon poro, the 2 mana elephant, the 5 mana who stunned). The 3 has less than 3 attack, so maybe she was able to summon a card from her regions that had than 3 attack. Maybe when zoe was played, she created a landmark named portal, that when the CD was over, she summoked units.
Honestly I think Fiddle should be a noxus LURKER, Wouldn't that be cool? I think any region except obviously bandle or ionia would work really well with this concept. He lurks then strikes ya know?? I have a concept but I think it is too "op" but yeah it looks good
you could also make a cho gath that his main play is to eat units to gain +1 +1 and its key words, that way you can play cho and malzahar in the same deck and the whole things would be to make cho eat the voidlings to gain power

I was rewatching this because I really like your card “creation” related videos and I remembered thinking that crowstorm seemed op but I didn’t know how to possibly change it, but now I got an idea: like sky descend, 15 base cost, and for each not played unit on board decreases the cost by 2
This is really cool all, but i think the only thing that bothers me, is malzahars spellshield and statline. He is very squishy and what makes him survive is spellshiled... so i rlly dont like the 2/4 for 3 mana statline for a hight dmg squishy midlaner i think 3/3 or 2/3 would actually be enought especially bc all of your 3 champs have like even statlines all do little dmg and have much hp. Still, very cool expansion, and finally something different from spamming burn spells and keywords on way to big bodys :)
Omg poor Yorick. He came out right after I started playing League and I've always enjoyed summer classes in RPGs, so I was pretty excited for him. He came out with two skins as was tradition then, and then he never got another skin for years until after his rework.

when I theorycrafted fiddlesticks I did it as a reverse jarvan where if the enemy attacks with 2 or more units while fiddlesticks is in your hand, he'll automatically be summoned and deal a ton of damage to all attacking units. Then, his level up being based on him killing at least 3 units.
His level 2 silences all enemies until the end of turn when he attacks
and finally his spell will summon two ethereal copies of an ally unit, except the animation obscures which one is which to the enemy, and it deals no damage

I actually did my own fiddle concept for myself a while ago.
It turned out almost exactly identical to your concept, but instead of the whole burst speed thing, I made it so ephemeral allies don’t expire when the round ends. Then I created some spells that create some effigies, and boom.
Ya got a shadow isles/Demacia champion that synergizes with ephemeral

i am in LOVE with these cards!! this seems like a deck i would play so much, and the possibilities for region combinations, or even just playing a fiddlesticks yorick deck seem endless. so cool!!!
I think a really cool idea for the crowstorm is to make it fiddlestick’s champion spell and instead it summons an attacking fiddlesticks and 5 crows, then all allies get a +3/+0 buff for the round. It would make some cards that rely on summoning units get massive stats and be quite literally the ultimate jumpscare
I really love these concepts! The way that you introduced your cards were just perfect, tying them to their lore and mechanics from league.
I think that Fiddlesticks' champion spell should be called 'Dark Wind' as an homage to his old e. Also with the Yorick package it seems that you would run out of board space before you could execute your game plan, but I guess that we would need to see it play out to judge that.
All in all I loved this video, please make more of those!

In all honestly, I'm half-tempted to design level-up animations, but I have no animating skills so the best I could do is storyboarding/descriptions.
As for my favorite, you managed to choose the first three champions I ever bought in LoL so you've put me in an impossible position in choosibe between my babies. That said, the one I adored the most was honestly Malzahar. Not only is this the best interpretation of him that I've seen for LoR, but it also combines many of the disparate mechanics in Shurima to make something that is both quintessentially of that region but also *deliciously* in-flavor for Malz and some specific off-meta builds he used to be able to pull off before and after his rework... That aside, the only thing missing is a spell that allows him to silcence or Quicksand all backrow units and we'd be PERFECTION!!!

Malzahar is great but having giving multiple keywords to swarm is just strong. Look at pantheon and all the other cards that have a load of keywords. Those are single cards.
Maybe adapting with swarm is better to have cards remove all keywords from all allied voidlings and give them X (where X is an random keyword chosen of 3). So all voidlings have that keyword but not more to the others of the swarm. And you can change them mid game from swarming quick attackers to overwhelm.
And the idea is nice to have units attack when you have an full board but this should not be considered "an attack". (I don't want the azirellia Meta back).
And the swarm idea is just nice. Love those types of decks. Even in mtg.
Imagine play fiddlesticks with aphelios. Cresendum spell can leveling up fiddle since it can play lower cost unit, and all moon weapons spell become burst spell, so it can't be denied and it makes aphelios easier to level up. I think they can make a good combo

The big problem I see with Fiddle/Yorick archetype is a board space. With these 2 on the board, you only have 4 more spaces, which (with Yorick's copy effect) makes spell like Crowstorm kind of a waste.
However, in general I love the idea, you put on some great work there! Especially these small units (e.g. Tombstone Holder) does it for me :)
Fiddlesticks is my favourite, but they are all really creative. Well done.

I think it would be better if fiddlesticks was a runeterra champion since in his lore it says that every region has a different definition of what he is, and he is technically everywhere, so if it makes it into the game, it would be a origin champion. But, to be fair, the video was made before that new runeterra champions were released so nevermind.
my idea for fiddlesticks would be a lurker that summons himself to the board with a bunch of 1/1 ephemeral crows that can exceed the unit limit, when leveled up he gives all attacking units fearsome. Also, when he is summoned he creates a 0 cost effigy with his stats in hand, to summon the effigy you must return an ally to the top of the deck
I've seen 3 minutes but I have to say my idea for fiddlesticks. Basically whenever your opponents attacks you can summon fiddlesticks, draining X (X being sticks atk) to everyone. He's attack would be unique as well, where he actually is slow letting other attack first but if not killed he drains the unit's health and replenishes his own. If fiddlesticks drains from 6 units he evolves.
Uhhh-.... I haven't put to much thought but something like every time he blocks he drains from everyone.
This would capture fiddlesticks so well in LoR that anything not similar would disappoint me slightly (of very depending on how weak he would be...)

That void landmark would make arise! an actually decent card, letting you activate azir/dais and drawing a ton. That is the standout card in this video, no questions asked.
I have a hard time picking favorites, but I can easily pick the opposite - Yorick. His package seems like it's too slow and unreliable, relying on opponent more than yourself, and unless there's some fun animations i doubt it would even be a meme deck.
To be honest i love this design, as they have high flexibility, and are pretty decent and playable without relying on the second region, while each having their own unique take on it, and every combo, any two of the three doing different things together, i think all champion cards should be designed like this
Not like lurk, darkness, deep and you could argue other things, where the decks are pretty much pre built and limited and lack freedom, only changing a card or two, i can't imagine playing pyke or reksai outside of lurk except in 10% winrate decks, i believe all champs like this should be reworked
Nah, a couple prebuilt archetypes are needed in every card game. They are the few decks that will never change too much, so it’s always easy to tell if the meta is good for said decks.

I'm already imagining a hecarim/fiddlesticks ephemeral deck. Shark Chariots could potentially speed up fid's level up condition, aswell as camavoran soldier. I could see viego, thresh, and kalista fitting in nicely if wanted.
If only we could have 3 regions, I could throw fiddle into my sion/hecarim discard/ephemeral deck and have the deck of my dreams..

I think there's a different way Fiddle should be done. Your idea is cool, but in my opinion, it didn't replicate the jumpscare-y feel. So here's my take:
Certain spells and units from Fiddle's expansion summon Scarecrows - one health, zero attack cards. When Fiddle is summoned, he appears to be a scarecrow too. If you attack a scarecrow or an un-leveled Fiddle, it dies.
But if 3 effigies are destroyed, Fiddle secretly levels up. This seemingly changes nothing. But if Fiddle is attacked after he levels up, he jumpscares all the enemies. No warning, no buildup animation, but a full out jumpscare happens just as the effigy Fiddle is posing as is about to get struck, his level up animation plays, and gives the enemy a heart attack. He gives all allies Quick Attack and Fearsome from the moment he levels up until he's killed.

This is actually plausible and I really want it to be a part of the game. It's methodical, lore friendly and the champs makes sense to pair with earlier champs. like malz and zilean, fiddlesticks and azir, or irelia, fiddle with misfortune or lucian, malz with ekko, malz with lux
balance suggestion, even tho its a fan card only.Fiddlesticks lvl up requirement from 8 to 6.His card package are mostly slow spells, plus, fiddlesticks could be easily killed by spells.
The balance is sometimes off as youve sad, but the creativity and innovative execution makes this set incredible. I realy love Fiddles idea and Malzahars lvl 2 is brilliant

I love that fiddlesticks package. I like the idea of going super wide before your opponent can react to overwhelm them. I think the only other option for this at the moment is elnuks and they're just way too inconsistent to be fun to use.

You really like the summon units with spells! Although the cards look cool, I do not think that releasing 3 really similar cards is going to lead to player retention as it is more likely that players will leave due to the lack of diversity. Good expansions like the bilge water one create multiple different playstyles that appeal to a greater variety of players. I could definitely see this as a part of a large expansion but not as a mini 3 champion expansion
I would literally pay money to have Riot make this expansion, Fiddle Yorick legit sounds like the most fun deck ever.

Beforr zoe was released i tought that she will some how able to summon trought her portals all the cards that has a portal drawing (targon poro, the 2 mana elephant, the 5 mana who stunned). The 3 has less than 3 attack, so maybe she was able to summon a card from her regions that had than 3 attack. Maybe when zoe was played, she created a landmark named portal, that when the CD was over, she summoked units.
Honestly I think Fiddle should be a noxus LURKER, Wouldn't that be cool? I think any region except obviously bandle or ionia would work really well with this concept. He lurks then strikes ya know?? I have a concept but I think it is too "op" but yeah it looks good
you could also make a cho gath that his main play is to eat units to gain +1 +1 and its key words, that way you can play cho and malzahar in the same deck and the whole things would be to make cho eat the voidlings to gain power

I was rewatching this because I really like your card “creation” related videos and I remembered thinking that crowstorm seemed op but I didn’t know how to possibly change it, but now I got an idea: like sky descend, 15 base cost, and for each not played unit on board decreases the cost by 2
Reavers row may be playable if it could summon the 1 cost follower not only with countdown, but also when summoned

This is really cool all, but i think the only thing that bothers me, is malzahars spellshield and statline. He is very squishy and what makes him survive is spellshiled... so i rlly dont like the 2/4 for 3 mana statline for a hight dmg squishy midlaner i think 3/3 or 2/3 would actually be enought especially bc all of your 3 champs have like even statlines all do little dmg and have much hp. Still, very cool expansion, and finally something different from spamming burn spells and keywords on way to big bodys :)
Omg poor Yorick. He came out right after I started playing League and I've always enjoyed summer classes in RPGs, so I was pretty excited for him. He came out with two skins as was tradition then, and then he never got another skin for years until after his rework.
