Texas Tech is the 3rd biggest brand in Texas by far. They have more money and donors than most states’ flagship schools. and over 60k students in the system. 42k students at the main campus. They should be in the SEC. They would immediately come in and be right in the middle of the SEC for revenue etc…they are bigger than most state flagship schools around the country but are tier 1 research, med school, vet school, law school, etc…
You aren’t going to overtake ut and atm but Tech needs to solidify itself as the clear number 3 athletic program in the state. That starts with winning football and basketball games vs Tx Big teams consistently.
Anyone in Texas knows it’s the #3 brand in the state. It’s always been that way by far and 4th place is probably Baylor waaaaay down the list. Baylor as a private school with only 20k students is way behind tech at 42k students . The money at Tech is insane
