I listened the song for 20+ times, I cried for 5 times and I liked to cry listening to it. But how did it make me cry ? First the lyrics express 1 thing: sorrow about death of someone. But the next thing, which is expressed by the music and clapping, the second thing, is a picture. Imagine the big explorers like Magellan and Vasco da Gama, leaving the shores in like suicidal missions to discover new territories and maybe even get killed, like Magellan was. Image the people on the shores and ships leaving. 500 years ago, but it must have been many mixed feelings: sorrow mixed with wish of good luck and hope (waiting for a sign) and even joy ! And friendship from the heart. Nothing could say it in a better way than Saudade. Decoded now. + only word remain for the people who stayed on the shores.
Melt! Such sympathy and reciprocity; so much simplicity and good mood; from a certain point on the reporter and Maro already seemed like longtime friends... that's our Maro, the dearest thing.
