    passthrough is impressive considering practically all consumer-available powerbank manufacturers consider not having passthrough a safety feature when it’s the opposite case.
    with passthrough, you can use this as a portable ups alternative to small computing devices like the raspberry pi on mains. when there is a power outage, hopefully it could provide consistent power to having any device still running. but that has yet to be tested.
    the display in my opinion is a step backwards from the scifi star trek style gui interface, although it is a better larger screen.

    I'm interested in electrical measurements of this powerbank like for how long can this powerbank actually deliver at least 100w power. As long as this device isn't properly tested I'm not interested in.

    how important is the selection of the charger for this power bank? can i use any charger or does it have to be the 140W charger to charge the shargeek 170 also is it imperative i have to get the 140W from shargeek? would it affect the battery life of the powerbank if i were to use any other charger like a 65W charger for instance?

    Got my a few days ago and found out that if you keep it plugged into the USB-C for continued charging while using the other outputs for whatever; if your use the USB-C2 the unit will not display both the input from the unit being charged and it's output charging. You have to use the USB-C1 for it to function properly. It also tells you the recharging time of the unit, not the devices that are being charged, trying to figure that one out.

      @MashITTech  8 месяцев назад +2

      have you got this years slim 7? you should be able to pull the whole 140w on this years model but I think last years was limited to 100w (I have just received my slim 7 but haven't started testing it yet but have been getting amazing PD performance on my 2023 razer blade 14 and I rarely use the bulky razer charger)

      @@MashITTech Yes, I have this years Legion Slim 7i Gen 7 (13700H, upgraded RAM to 48GB, RTX 4060, 3.2K screen).
      Really love this notebook, my only complain is the terrible battery life with my Intel model.
      Just needed a small charger to carry in my bagback, I travel with this notebook to work. Hopefully the full 140W will work as you wrote, I can report wenn the charger arrives.

      @@MashITTech I will let you know :) How is the Thinkpad P1 doing, do you still have it? I was the one asking for the 96GB RAM upgrade and I am still deciding between the Thinkpad P1 RTX 4080 or go all in on the Legion Pro 7 Ryzen 9 7945HX and RTX 4090 version. Mainly for 3D rendering and also for some gaming in the evenings. The Thinkpad is far more portable and, you know, its a Thinkpad :D But the Legion is far superior in performance. I really cant decide…

    If I have the power bank at full charge, and plugged in, and I use the other ports to charge my gadgets, will I be using up my cycle lives?

    • @MashITTech
      @MashITTech  3 месяца назад

      the cells may degrade slightly if it is permanently plugged in, but it won't make a massive difference. Just make sure you take it off mains and use it as a power bank every now and again to keep the cells cycling

      @@MashITTechI was looking at the slim model on Amazon and most of the reviews are saying it stopped working after a few days or weeks or months. They mention the customer service or warranty wasn’t honoured or they had to send many videos of it failing and then were told it was their charger causing the problem.
      It’s quite disappointing because I think they look cool and I’d like to buy one. But for the price I don’t want it to fail after a few months.
      Thanks for replying btw. Wasn’t expecting it.
