    8:05 CADW staff aren't allowed to film, because that's their rules and policies and terms of employment. Not for anyone else.

    6:55 Looking on the website for the castle, there is no mention of it being closed for an event since 1st March. As a visitor wanting to see it and checking that it's open, then arriving and finding it's closed I would be extremely annoyed.

    "Car Park Closed" on a sign has NO connection to an entire site being designated as Restricted Access or Private or Closed to the general public. It's a simple indication that VEHICLE parking access is full up or temporarily unavailable. Two people with at least a normal school education seemed to both fail to comprehend this shortcoming in their logic even after prompting to that effect.

    8:25 She's wrong. They're "not for it" if a member of the public hurts themselves whilst it's closed for the event. No company or organisation or owner has any liability for trespassers. As proven by BT in your video of their Cardiff office.

    1:05 If the castle was closed to the public, then the guy should've stated that from the start. That he fixated on the filming aspect indicates that it wasn't really closed. He only used the excuse that it was closed when his attempt to stop TGA filming failed. If it was really close their would be a sign at the gate plus security at the gate to stop the public. And I didn't see either.
    As for not being allowed to film because the film crew don't want anything to leak out, that's not how it works. The film crew doesn't have any more rights than a member of the public. They only have an arrangement to ensure that their needs are accommodated by the castle.

    • @TheSadButMadLad
      @TheSadButMadLad 2 года назад +1

      @Thomas Powell Nope. They have an arrangement with the castle. If people can see their filming then it doesn't matter if they're wandering on to the castle grounds or doing it with a telephoto lens from outside the grounds, the film crew can't stop the filming. The only thing they can do is ask the person to leave, if they're on the castle grounds. If the film crew wanted privacy, then they need to do it on a closed set, not out in public.

Now he is making fraudulent claims and claiming it is not open and signed as closed. Their policies apply to them and NOT members of the public and they need to learn this.

    Yes if you want to do something like this then use a drone. They do not controle the air space

    • @kurtilein3
      @kurtilein3 2 года назад

      They can, it just takes money and effort. Applying for a temporary and local no fly zone for some or all altitudes is regularly done, for example for any high-altitude fireworks display or drone or flying show, for rocket launches, for events with unusually large crowds, due to all kinds of desasters, for any place the US president goes, and so on. Civilian aircraft are then banned from the area and will be directed around the area by air traffic control. For a movie production, you usually skip that, act swiftly and unannounced, and hope that no assholes with drones randomly come by. So you can get a no fly zone, and put technology in place to enforce it, but just a few snipers on the roofs to shoot down drones are really expensive. I happen to know that the going rate in Germany for an armed security guard with a handgun and the training to effectively use it and to be an effective bodyguard is 1800 Euros for an 8-hour work day, i do not know what the price is for snipers that can shoot down drones.

  • @kurtilein3
    @kurtilein3 2 года назад +1

    I think you may not have realized what workload you put on them. Famous actors or actors/extras in costumes not allowed in the area you are in, meaning trapped in the trailers or on set, no prop pieces can be moved, long debrief sessions analyzing what you might or might not have seen and the fallout that might cause, and at least one guy had to be fired for not stopping you at the front gate. Depending on the timing between you filming and releasing this, they might need to rush the scedule, put up a lot of intransparent fencing, ramp up security, move parts off set and into a studio, and so on. Spoilers can ruin productions like that badly. The major screwup you caused might hasten or delay release of the final movie, affect its quality, and cause huge financial losses.
    Here in Munich, we have parts of the city locked down for the Munich Security Conference for a weekend each year, and if you mess with that the costs can avalanche, and they might respond with changes that might affect geopolitics. For example, they search the sewers for bombs and dangerous devices, which involves wading/crawling through deep shit in protective gear, they seal all entrances and manhole covers when they are done. One troll running around breaking the seals might, depending on timing, force them to wade through human feces in small tunnels for days again, or might force them to declare some buildings unsafe leading to a lot of resceduling. So a little 10 minute stunt, while not illegal, might cause costs in the millions, and might cause the meeting of the head of state of some small nation with the general secretary of the UN or the foreign minister of the USA or something like that to get scrapped, delaying a proper response to something hurting a lot of people to be delayed.
    OK this is just a film production, so i guess you did not hurt people, just possibly some careers, and maybe you hurt the bottom line of the project a bit. Maybe they just ramp up security, or scramble to replace the entire on-site security, or just hire 3 more guards to guard the front gate 24/7, who knows.

    That whole set up was wrong. I’ve worked in the film game for 30 years as a stand by chippy and set builder. The security should have stopped you at the gate. The amount of tools and equipment we have in our vans, which we often have to leave unattended is at risk. I’ve had tools stolen while on site and we don’t get reimbursed. The filming equipment is also rented at a hell of a price, so any delay is in the thousand of pounds. Also background noise is always a problem, so while you’re talking with everyone it might be picked up by the sound guy which is another big fuck up. So I have lost some respect for you this time you should have just walked away.
