Hi Rebecca! You and other youtubers always apologize for their dogs and cats interrupting. I am sure most of us don't mind the occasional hello from Luna. Makes me smile every time. My cat sure likes to photobomb my Zoom calls all the time 🤗
I agree with you inga02. I don’t mind the interruptions, they aren’t interruptions to me. It’s called “life” and life happens. You don’t have to edit the videos. I appreciate you and enjoy hearing about your “life” and all the lovely things that happen. Keep doing you Rebecca!!
Watching a bit late due to the football. Had to do a double take at the length of the waffle. I'm all for it. Hunkered in with a cuppa and my current WIP. Let's go, thank you Rebecca.
I'm using the Zesty Lemon putty fm '23 Advent & I just use my tweezers to remove it, roll it between my fingers into a new sausage shape & put it back in the metal pen nib. I then Prime it as usual & carry on 🤔🤔
Thanks for another great WIP and waffle. I am currently working on reading tree from diamond art club and I am absolutely loving it. I have a strip along the left side done and I am loving the colors. I got my niece started with some small kids diamond paintings from Amazon as she is 6 years old and not ready for a regular picture yet but she loves it just as much as I do. Sorry for the long comment but I like waffling just as much as anyone else 🤣
You worked your tail off to get the launch items out and it shows! I received my goodies of the tray bundle and tweezer set on Friday the 19th! Wowza! Kudos to you, Royal Mail, and customs here in the U.S. Zoom, zoom…everything zipped through all the channels at lightning speed! 🎉🎉
I received my order from you, main part being the folders for the paint gem minis . They are great, thank you. I received the actual kits from Paint Gem yesterday morning (Saturday) just a few minutes before I left to go on holiday! Yes, they have come with me. 😂🎉❤🎉❤🎉
We just appreciate the videos you put up, thought the Monday was missing as it was the shop weekend. Two hours today! I will watch half then watch the rest after tea. For a round painting this painting is amazing the shading and details are so clear. Today I have washed 3 loads, dried some on line and some in dryer (mainly undies). I am fortunate to have a utility room. The craft room/ family room and utility were an extension added by previous owner.
I am begging to tuck in for the first section done with this long wip and waffles - these are my favorites to watch as they’re great companionship. I am about halfway through done with a monochrome rose budget 30 by 40 and while I am not loving it, I don’t hate it and don’t want to waste it… it will simply go into my portfolio and stay there when I’m done. The trays are amazing; they’re so big! I so need that, especially with larger kits. There’s talk about going somewhere for a short vacation soon in my household, the first since 2021 for even a weekend away, so I am looking at getting some Paint Gems to be able to take… and probably another storage bottle system as I don’t have a great system for paint gems haha. Currently, my next test is in language arts on May 4th. The way that one is set out is there’s two main reading comprehension tests and then an argumentative essay. The reading comprehension tests are easy for me, I’m scoring fairly well, but the essay is where I am struggling; I’ve never been good at writing essays, must less argumentative, and while my practices are scoring around 160 and the required passing is 145, I don’t want to just pass. The only test I am okay with “just passing” is math, because with my track record, I am bad at math, both of my parents are/were, and I failed algebra twice when before I dropped out. Algebra is a basis for almost everything and only gets more and more complicated… there’s a reason I’m doing it last.
Good afternoon, Rebecca. Hope all is well with you and the family. Loving the progress. Currently I have my American cousin staying with my mum and haven’t seen since 2013. So we’re having a grand old time.❤
You can blame train me for this one, but diamond art club’s metal placers are different on the website and amazon. On amazon, they’re slightly thicker, and on the website they are the thinnest yet sturdiest tips i have ever seen. Sometimes they’re hard to fit, but they do fit comfortably if you mess with them or use washi tape to help. Try them, Rebecca. Switching them around is totally worth it! Before I’d only use plastic multiplacers and brass/plastic single placers and these are such a game changer. With my second resin pen cracking recently, I’m actually planning on buying the twist on tips and pen when the pen comes back in stock. I think that will be my reward for doing my next test, if not paint gem minis and the next Fourth Wing book, Iron Flame.
Speaking of opening new kits; I am expecting two DAC kits today Iinside a Fairys Dream, and Christmas Eve at the Workshop. I will be opening them straight away. I will resist the temptation to start them. Inside a Fairy's Dream will probably be the next large one I do; but as I currently have two large wips it looks like July for that. Both of my wips are just over half done. Cosmic Trip, which is currently set asside for Aquarius by Dakota Daetwiler for an event. I am hoping to finish both by the end of May, but I may only finish one. Looking forward to June wip & waffle.
I think I am finally on the mend. well at least patched up if not mended. I'm back on my original meds and doing much better 😁 When I use the putty in my 4 placer and it looses it tack. I pull it out roll it about in my fingers and put it back in.. I can get away with doing that 3-4 times.. but I do also like to change it just for a fresh scent 😂 I would recommend getting a DAC 4 placer Rebecca.. I only have the one and do move it from pen to pen as they do cost a fair bit. Happy dotting Rebecca and to all fellow Zesties 🥰 Oh and love the long WIP n waffle even if it has taken me 5 hours to get through it 😂🫂💚
Hi Rebecca and Zestiest, I have no idea how many kits I have but numbering them sounds like a good idea. Thanks for the thought from your poster. I bought a few kits from a destash a couple of years ago and also bought a few subscriptions from Diamond Painting company in Australia. There were a few kits that I wasn’t interested in doing so on Friday I took them with me to my Psychologist appointment. She was very pleased with them and was going to pass them on to Social workers who help Cancer patients. I hope they will help someone and maybe start a new trend in Oncology😊😘
I'm watching late tonight as the temp here in Phoenix has been in the high 90°F !(36-37°C). This heat is hitting early this year and the A/C has definitely come on early as well. Just last week it was in the 60°F (15°C). Feels like the weather ski]Ed spring and jumped into summer overnight. Hope your spring comes soon. 🤶
Hi Rebecca and Zesties! I have to say, I like that Luna is "in" this video. It feels like we are all just sitting down diamond painting at your house 😂 Real life, instead of a filming studio. I understand the studio for your other videos, but the wip and waffles are our chatting time, and are more personal. If that makes any sense to anyone else 😅 Also Saturday being a baron wasteland is very true. I find the first part of the week is also. Just a thought, but since you are filming during the week, maybe film the wip and waffle the week before, and schedule for Monday or Tuesday? That might help with launch weekend? Have a great weekend everyone! 💗🐝
Hi Rebecca and Zesties.... Hope you are all well. Here in South Africa we are in autumn so the temperatures are not 35-40 degrees Celsius ☀️☀️☀️I like this way if filming and really don't mind Luna barking or scratching... It makes it just more homey and part of the "household" although I don't think you want us part of your household 😂😂 thanks for a super wip and waffle... Greetings from South Africa 🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦 PS Sorry for the long letter 🌹
I agree with busy lizzy. I prefer assignments rather than exams. I did some BTEC and CACHE courses at college which I enjoyed! I’ve also completed some buisness admin courses too. I would love to go to uni but I really need the job dosh seen as I have a house now. I may look into open uni at some stage :)
I placed my shop order on launch day to come to the US. This is the fastesst that I have received it. Usually, it takes approximately 10 days to receive from time of order. This order was 7 days. You can boast that record! 😊❤
If you find that the drills are staticy after using your pot, just add a bit of a dryer sheet to the pot and give them a bit of a shake to get rid of the static
Comment two. When you mentioned not knowing where the origin of a lick and a promise came from, I got curious and googled it. According to the results, it was first seen in the mid to late 1840’s, in an English newspaper called “The Era” in 1848, when housemaids would skim over a bigger task to get to the smaller tasks done first, with the intention of coming back and dedicating their full attention to it. It makes sense that it’s made its way across the world with deviations in phrasing and word choice, given how in that time in history immigration was popular and wars and trading caused interactions between nationalities and different types of society to interact like never before.
Hi Rebecca, The cover paper that ripped was last years 'Autumn Leaves' Edited to add... I can't get used to you saying 'maiden', ive never heard it that way before, in my home its a clothes horse. (Im from Greater London area)
In regards to the cover papers that Pink Unicorn commented on that ripped. I actually had one of the new cover papers (the Peach Petals) that I was using on my City Streets in the Snow painting that ripped. It was only one cover paper that ripped and I was able to peel away what was stuck. It was strange as the wax side just seemed to peel away from the front design.
I decided that I am NOT giving up any of my trays as the one sister that wanted the trashy tray was from month before last launch. So....instead....I bought them each a Zesty tray and a trashy tray of their own in their favorite colors along with the Scorpio cover papers and I also got them the daisy cover papers as their grandmother's name was Daisy (she was a WONDERFUL woman!). I then realized that I forgot to get the AB stickers after I received my package, so placed that order along with some putty and the tweezers (that I wanted anyway). After using my new single placer and multi placer, I had to place an Amazon order for the 4 and 6 placer.
It's a bit odd that it seems so common for you brits to put the washing out onto the line and not just on a clothes horse in general. Especially in a country that is so associated with dreary weather😅 Also if your washing machine is in the kitchen as well how tightly packed are the fridge, the oven and the stove and the dishwasher😉? Something i've wondered about for quite a while: are the pickup pens for the ABs different than normal crayons for coloring? It looks like they're softer from what i've seen from your videos
Hi Rebecca, think I lost my painting mojo for now . Guess it was one too many squares . Unfortunately that is the only ones I have right now and no money to purchase any new ones .
All of those in schooling, especially those who prefer essays, I am more than open to tips on how to do an essay. The biggest part of my nerves for the reading test is the argumentative essay, as writing them has always been my weakness, and if anything, it’s easier to go: “No, Janet, do *not* second guess yourself. If it’s wrong, it’s wrong. Keep moving.” Second guessing usually makes me wrong so I’ve trained my brain to stop changing the answer and move on. But with an essay, it’s an endless possibility with minimal guidance, and that’s harder on my mentally. I am a creative, preferring fiction over reality, so having to follow a set of rules and sticking on topic is *really hard*. Also, all of those who do lego, I am blaming you (and partially my best friend) for putting a Winnie the Pooh treehouse on my wishlist to get one day. I haven’t hugely wanted it before, but now I really do, especially as I love Winnie the Pooh; my mom made it my nursery theme when I was a baby and the obsession had begun then, sticking with me to adulthood… and even causing a want for me to make my future (loooooong future) baby’s nursery. I’ve even saved my comforter, a 3 foot tall Pooh bear, and diaper bag to use for that baby. Speaking of reading old favorite books, I have been in a reading slump for the last two and a half years, and I think I finally broke it. On an impulse purchase i bought “Fourth Wing” by Rebecca Yarro and read the entire book in a week - one session which was 200 pages alone. I fully regretted not buying the second book becase that ending still has me thinking about it and someone who lives with me worried because I reacted so strongly in a WTF way. Then, that same day, I grabbed my copy of “City of Ashes” by Cassandra Clare, the second book in “The Mortal Instruments” series. I read the entire 450 page book in one day, almost immediately after reading 200 pages, and then moved onto book three “City of Glass” and forced myself to close the book at 2am and another 100 pages to get some sleep. 😂
Hiya Rebecca, it’s Katie here Long comment alert So on the 11th of March I was at work running with the children (I’m a teaching assistant) and all of a sudden I lost my foot in and my left foot inwards and landed down. I heard a pop when this happened. I went to the hospital (second local one as our local one was massive queues just to get into the hospital car park. They put me in a weight bearing boot and crutches and said I would be ok in a couple of days but might be referred to the fracture clinic for an appointment. Had to go in to the fracture clinic and the had to do a CT scan for, which I never had done before(being autistic it made me very very anxious) and this is where I discovered I have got a lisfranc fracture( basically it connects all the toe bones to the main part of my foot) so I was in a cast(non weight bearing)for a week and if it hadn’t heal I would have to have surgery. Went back In a week’s time for another a X/ray and the outcome was I needed surgery. I had surgery on The Thursday before Easter weekend(me and my family were meant to be going on holiday on the Friday)and spent the night in hospital as I had the spinal anaesthetic(I was awake but very sedated). They basically put a plate in my foot with a few screws. Fast forward to present day now in another cast (non weight bearing) till the 10th of may to where the best outcome is to be placed in a boot with minimal weight bearing. So I have been off work since the 11th of March. Diamond painting and Lego has been keeping me going. I purchased two diamond art club kits (modern Stone Age family & Sesame Street friends) and national parks & bottle storage form paint gem. Then when paint gem did there restock I ordered bakery, summer and mystery edition oops 🙊 this addiction is real. Thank you for your videos and content whilst I’m off and continue to be off work. Many more days of dotting. Hope you and your family are doing well. Loving the extra long wip and waffle 🥰
Hello, I hope all is well . Here is an idea, hopefully a good one, to place a note pad by you. and when you have to get up write a small note for yourself on the last thing you said or the idea of the conversation to try to remember what you were saying in case you might have more intriguing than you are prepared for.
(Weather comment) I don't mind so much the rain, but the fronts that come with them ... oi!! My aunt and I both have back issues, so rain fronts can put us on the floor lol. Nothing like watching 2 over 50 women whining like toddlers :D (Laundry comment) Scent and feel wise, I do so love line drying clothes. However, our only physically capable person that can hang the laundry out is my daughter, who's already playing caretaker to 3 wheelchair-bound grumpy ole ladies, so don't feel right asking for that one more weight on her. Maybe one day someone will figure out how to make a dryer give results closer to hanging clothes out to dry, That would be the dream. (Multi-placing comment) I have to admit, the multi-placer would be great for speeding up the completion of a diamond painting, but for me the process is the most important part, as it is a help with controlling my anxiety. (To the point of I use tweezers on square paintings only). Otherwise? I'd love to have more paintings to put on my walls :D
So just to clarify something in regards to Legos. Legos can normally be built and taken apart and rebuilt, correct? Is there a reason why many of you don’t do that? Is it because they are so difficult to build that you just want to display them? In my mind, it is like assembling a jigsaw puzzle…you put it together and then put it back in the box and then put it together again in a year or two. I’ve never built a Lego creation and don’t have the love for them like other Zesties…and I mean no disrespect with this question. Maybe they are permanent builds like car models from back in the day when the pieces are glued together. 🤷♀️ Just wondering about this other Zesties obsession. Love to you all! ❤
I haven’t found that your “pauses” or Luna has been a distraction in any way. It is like when I was still working and a co-worker and I would be trying to have a conversation and we would have to answer the phone or help a library patron…then we would get back to our conversation without too much difficulty.
Hi Rebecca 👋 Love the longer Wip & Waffles. Have a great week Zesties!! 🙂🧡
Oh i meant to say that i think 'pottering about' may have come from old gardeners.. pottering in the potting shed 😁💚

I'm using the Zesty Lemon putty fm '23 Advent & I just use my tweezers to remove it, roll it between my fingers into a new sausage shape & put it back in the metal pen nib. I then Prime it as usual & carry on 🤔🤔
Loving the long wip&waffles. Thank you for all the effort to make us zesties happy and keeping us company while diamond painting.
❤❤ I actually nearly stood up to check my front door when I heard the knock!!!🤦🏻♀️😂
So we’re having a grand old time.❤
Love hearing Luna !! I miss my dogs. Cats are usually too quiet, although we actually have a kitten who delights in meowing at us.!!⚾️
🥰Definitely going to have to do this in shifts!

Hi Rebecca it’s me again. I say I potter about as well
Hello, I hope all is well .

Nothing like watching 2 over 50 women whining like toddlers :D
(Laundry comment) Scent and feel wise, I do so love line drying clothes.
